Hanuman Ansh Box Office Day 58: Devotional Drama Crosses Rs 305 Crore, Defies Drishyam 3

Most films are long gone by week nine. Hanuman Ansh is still going strong. Even with Ajay Devgn’s blockbuster Drishyam: The Conclusion swallowing screens, this devotional drama is holding on and setting records.

Hanuman Ansh Box Office : Overview

A Remarkable Hold in Week 9

The film collected about Rs 2 crore on its 9th Saturday, down just 20% from Friday. That’s a very strong hold at this stage, especially against a mega release.

It’s heading for a 9th weekend of around Rs 7 crore, which would be an all-time record for a ninth weekend, according to the trade report.

Why This Run Is So Unusual?

The slow start tells the story. The first two weeks brought in under Rs 1 crore each, then the film exploded in Week 3 and peaked above Rs 84 crore in Week 5. That’s a classic word-of-mouth success. Even after Drishyam: The Conclusion arrived, the film was still gaining traction, which is rare for a title this far into its run.

Trade analysts now expect the film to finish its run near Rs 350 crore nett.

What Is Hanuman Ansh About?

Hanuman Ansh is a biographical devotional drama directed by Vishal Chaturvedi. It follows a grieving young boy’s search for God after his mother’s death, as he gradually becomes the revered saint Neem Karoli Baba. Learn more about the spiritual figure on Neem Karoli Baba’s Wikipedia page.

What to Watch Next

Weekdays will reveal how much steam is left, since the new release will keep taking show counts. Even so, the film has already pulled off a rare late-run surge.
