Hanuman Ansh Box Office: Neem Karoli Baba Film Nets Rs 320 Crore in 68 Days and Eyes Rs 350 Crore

Ten weeks in, most films have long vanished from theatres. Hanuman Ansh is still collecting crores and rewriting records.

Hanuman Ansh: 10th Tuesday Holds Strong

According to Pinkvilla’s trade estimates, the devotional drama collected about Rs 1.15 crore nett on its 10th Tuesday. Week 10 has reached Rs 8.30 crore in five days and should close around Rs 11 crore, better than last week. The lack of new releases this week is one reason for the steady hold.

The running total stands at Rs 319.80 crore nett in 68 days. It is expected to cross Rs 325 crore in week 11.

Hanuman Ansh: Week-Wise Collection

A Rare Record

Here’s the standout detail. Hanuman Ansh, directed by Vishal Chaturvedi, is only the fourth Hindi film ever to gross Rs 1 crore or more per day for 50 days. The only others were Gadar (60 days or more), Kantara (56 days) and Dhurandhar (52 days). Trade experts expect it to pass Dhurandhar and Kantara by the end of its run.

A Slow Burn Turned Phenomenon

Look at the first two weeks: Rs 0.90 crore and Rs 0.50 crore. By week five, the film had earned Rs 84.75 crore in a single week. That kind of word-of-mouth growth is rare. The film, about the life of spiritual figure Neem Karoli Baba, connected deeply with audiences.

What’s Next?

The film has the potential to reach around Rs 350 crore in its full run, though it will depend on how it holds against upcoming releases: Prahaar, Nayyi Navelli, Jailer 2 (Hindi) and Udta Teer, among others.
