Power	Super speed, inherited from his uncle Quicksilver

The Look: Athleisure With a Message

Mollica appears in casual athletic wear, topped with a green jacket with gray stripes. It’s not the loudest superhero outfit, but the sporty style suits a character who runs at superspeed.

The design also quietly echoes Tommy’s comic costume as Speed, which is green with a silver stripe. The matching colour scheme may hint at where his story is heading.

A Costume Years in the Making

Marvel has been laying this groundwork for a while:

In WandaVision, child Tommy wore a similar green-and-white striped sports jacket.
In the Halloween episode, he dressed as a retro Quicksilver, with a powder-blue shirt, a silver lightning bolt and slicked-back white hair.
In Agatha All Along, Billy’s spell placed his lost twin’s soul into a new body, which is why Tommy has aged up.

So this new jacket keeps the style consistent with his younger years.

How Does Tommy Compare to Other MCU Speedsters?

Speedster	Actor	Costume style
Quicksilver	Aaron Taylor-Johnson	Gray-blue, modern and aerodynamic, with silver hair
Makkari	Lauren Ridloff (Eternals)	Stylised and regal, in red with dark gray patterns and gold highlights
Tommy Maximoff	Ruaridh Mollica	Casual athleisure, in green and silver tones

Tommy takes after his uncle’s powers but not his palette. Quicksilver leans blue and silver, while Tommy leans green and silver. Billy and Tommy, the twins, inherited different gifts: Billy got magic like his mother, and Tommy got speed.

Will the Costume Change?

The Direct suggests it might. Tommy is still figuring out who he is in VisionQuest, and he has to reconcile life as a normal teenager with being the soul of Wanda and Vision’s son. Billy’s story in Agatha All Along ended with his debut as Wiccan, so Tommy could follow a similar path and reveal a more Speed-like suit by the finale. That’s speculation, not confirmation. What It Could Mean for the Young Avengers?

A full costume debut would set Tommy up for a rumoured Young Avengers or Champions project. That would reunite him with Billy, plus young heroes like Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld) and Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani). The project is only a rumour for now.
