Google Maps gets new Transit and Crowd Alerts

As the wold is now unlocking, mainly to save the economy, and human life activities becoming normal day by day, Google Map introduces two new alerts for common people’s interest. The tow new added alerts are Transit Alerts and Crowd Alert.

Transit Alerts

While coming to a normal life, you need to be more careful about hygiene and social distancing. Along with that, while you are passing through an area with a major COVID positive cases, you need to be alert more. For that, now, Google Maps will help you. You will get, in Maps, important alerts and regulations, to maintain, which are given by the local transit agencies.

This feature will roll out in Canada, Mexico, and the US first. Then one by one in Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Colombia, France, India, Netherlands, Spain, Thailand, and the UK. Later on, the rest of the countries will also get the update.

The new Google Map can alert you about the verification eligibility and check facility guidelines while visiting medical centers or coronavirus test centers. Rather, the update will also allow Maps to notify you about the COVID-19 checkpoints.

Crowd Alerts

A crowed prediction feature is added to the Maps for the public transit in June. Basically, this will help the public to understand how much crowded the bus or train at a particular place can be.

The features, google announced in Maps’ 15th birthday celebration, are also rolling out one after another.
