Xiaomi 12T series debuts globally with a 200MP camera, Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, and more

The Xiaomi 12T series debuted in international markets. There are two models in the lineup: standard and Pro. The smartphones are the 11T and 11T Pro replacements from Xiaomi.

The Chinese company also unveiled the Redmi Pad, Redmi Buds 4 Pro, and additional devices at the event. In China, the Xiaomi 12T Pro appears to be a slightly modified Redmi K50 Ultra. Continue reading to find out what smartphones come with by default.

The designs of the Xiaomi 12 Pro and Xiaomi 12T series are identical. Both gadgets have a punch-hole display that is centered and a rectangular camera module on the back panel.

Xiaomi 12T Series features and pricing

Both the standard and Pro variants come with a 6.67-inch OLED screen with a 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. A fingerprint scanner hidden beneath the display is included.

Xiaomi 12T Series

With three back cameras, the Xiaomi 12T series is excellent for taking pictures. The first gadget combines a 108MP primary sensor with OIS functionality with an 8MP ultra-wide lens, a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP camera. Xiaomi becomes the first device with the 200MP primary sensor and the other two lenses from the basic model creating a high-quality user experience. Both phones come with a front-facing 20-megapixel selfie camera.

Xiaomi 12T Series

The Xiaomi 12T comes with an internal Dimensity 8100 CPU, 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 SoC in the Xiaomi 12T Pro supports up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. It has got a 5,000mAh battery with 120W fast charging capabilities.

Both devices come with preinstalled MIUI 13 which supports the Android 12 OS. Other common features found in these devices include dual SIM, 5G, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, NFC, IR blaster, and a USB Type-C port.

The pricing starts at 599 euros for the Xiaomi 12T, compared to 749 euros for the Pro model. The colours for both smartphones are Cosmic Black, Lunar Silver, and Clear Blue. From October 13 through the company’s authorized outlets, the Xiaomi 12T pair will be accessible.
