OnePlus 15 Starts Getting OxygenOS 16 Update with September 2026 Security Patch

OnePlus has begun rolling out the OxygenOS 16 update for the OnePlus 15, bringing the September 2026 Android security patch to the flagship alongside a set of under-the-hood improvements. The update is currently being pushed in stages, so not every unit will see the notification at once.

Users who have received the update can see it listed under Settings as version CPH2745_16.0.10.601(BI10P02), weighing in at 843.77 MB. As always with staged rollouts, availability can vary slightly by region and by how long a device has been active on the network.

OnePlus 15 OxygenOS 16 Update: What’s in This Update

OnePlus has flagged this as an important system patch. The changelog for this build is fairly light, focused primarily on security rather than new features:

What to Know Before You Update

OnePlus’s standard update advisory applies here. The upgrade won’t delete or change user data, but a backup beforehand is still recommended as a precaution. The installation package is automatically removed once the update completes.

After installing, the system may spend some time optimising itself in the background. During this window, the phone might feel slightly warm, run a touch slower, or use more battery than usual. OnePlus notes this is normal and should settle down within a day or two.

Anyone who runs into issues after installing the update is advised to reach out to OnePlus customer service, and users can also head to the OnePlus Community to view more details or join the discussion around this rollout.

TechnoSports will keep tracking OnePlus’s OxygenOS 16 rollout schedule as it expands to more regions and device variants, along with any follow-up patches addressing bugs reported by early adopters. Users who haven’t received the notification yet can check manually via Settings > System > System update, and a factory reset is not required to install this OTA.

OnePlus typically rolls out major OxygenOS updates in phases, starting with a small batch of users before expanding to the wider install base over one to two weeks, so a slightly delayed notification is normal rather than a sign of an issue with your device.
