(G)I-DLE’s Miyeon and Minnie Are Coming to Running Man — And They’re Already Stealing the Show in the Preview

Apple picking, CEO chaos, and pure aegyo energy — the Running Man July 5 episode is shaping up to be an absolute must-watch for every (G)I-DLE fan.

On June 28, the popular SBS variety show aired a sneak peek of next week’s episode, which will feature (G)I-DLE’s Miyeon and Minnie as guests. And from the looks of the preview alone, the duo is bringing their full chaotic charm to one of Korea’s longest-running variety programmes. soompi

What to Expect from the Episode

The preview begins by explaining the theme of the episode: the Running Man cast members are playing the roles of “once successful CEOs” whose businesses have since gone under. Enter Miyeon and Minnie as their unlikely saviours.

Minnie invites the cast to stay at her resort — seemingly referring to her family’s resort in Thailand — adding, “Let’s film Running Man there!” The Thailand resort flex? Completely iconic.

The real highlight, though, comes when host Yu Jae Seok gets involved. Yu Jae Seok asks Miyeon whether Minnie is younger than her, and Miyeon responds with playful aegyo — which Yu Jae Seok immediately imitates. Miyeon then clarifies directly to camera, “We’re the same age.” Already one of the best moments of the preview.

The clip also shows the (G)I-DLE members and the Running Man cast picking apples as day labourers in a rural village, with Minnie and Ji Suk Jin sneaking bites of the fresh apples while the cast calls Ji Suk Jin out for eating instead of picking. Ji Suk Jin being caught red-handed is the kind of classic Running Man energy we never get tired of. soompi
