The Fortnite Chapter 4 content trailer, combines the raw violence of Doom with Fortnite’s usual vibrant nature and frenetic action.

Doctor Doom in Fortnite

The trailer opens in a dark, menacing environment similar to the Doom franchise and shows Doom Slayer fighting hordes of demons. Doom Slayer makes short work of the various demons he faces, ripping and tearing his way through hordes with his trusty shotgun, chainsaw in hand. As the action ramps up, the trailer eventually moves to Fortnite’s colorful, living world and more of that brutal action takes place but now with Doom Slayer taken over in a manner familiar to that Fortnite, but yet playful style.

Players will be able to play as Doom Slayer, a character famous for its offensive gameplay and incredible strength. The surge of the playground shooting no longer fits the grim aesthetic of Doom, complementing that cartoonish sensibility Fortnite has a unique taste. In it, the trailer shows how those two versions of universes can exist side by side, potentially for players who are fans of either or both of the respective franchises.

Players can likely look forward to at the very least a variety of themed skins, cosmetics, and weapons around Doom with it safe to assume some Doom-themed events are in the works. These new challenges will come with battle pass rewards and other unique Doom franchise-inspired unlocks, providing players even more opportunities to play Rocket League in fresh ways.

Doom is just the latest in a long line of iconic franchise crossovers for Fortnite. With that said die-hard fans of both games will likely love to see the integration of Doom’s staple components into Fortnite’s gradually growing world. The “Fighting Doom” trailer highlights some of the action and creativity afforded by this collaboration, making it an exciting new experience in Fortnite Chapter 4.
