Evil Dead Burn Crosses Rs 30 Crore Mark: Can It Survive The Odyssey’s Onslaught?

Horror fans in India have kept “Evil Dead Burn” alive at the box office, even as competition heats up. The Hollywood franchise entry just wrapped its second weekend with a decent hold, pushing its total past a key milestone.

Evil Dead Burn: Weekend Numbers That Tell The Story

The film collected Rs. 2.10 crore on its second Sunday, a small dip from Saturday. That capped a second weekend total of Rs. 5.60 crore gross, bringing the overall India cume to Rs. 30.60 crore.

What’s Next For The Horror Franchise

The film is projected to close its second week near Rs. 8-9 crore, edging closer to Rs. 35 crore. It’s expected to eventually beat the franchise’s previous installment during week three, though it’s currently battling Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey for screens and audience attention. Trade estimates suggest the film will likely wrap its India run under Rs. 50 crore unless it pulls off a surprise in week three.

This year has been kind to non-franchise Hollywood titles in India, with several films quietly outperforming expectations at the box office. “Evil Dead Burn” looks set to land a Clean Hit verdict if its current hold continues.
