Revolutionary National Team Framework
The Esports Nations Cup introduces national team representation to the global esports calendar in a structured, recurring format. Unlike the club-based Esports World Cup, the ENC enables players to compete under their national flags, offering fans opportunities to connect with elite esports through national identity.
Applications are now open for organizations to become official National Team Partners—responsible for building and representing national esports teams on the global stage. This framework establishes clear roles for how countries and territories participate in competitive esports.

National Team Partner Responsibilities
Selected partners will coordinate team representation, oversee national team coaches per game title, and work with game partners and clubs within the ENC framework. Beyond competition logistics, they’ll shape national team identity through marketing, communications, and community engagement.
Partners will collaborate with creators, media, and public institutions to mobilize local communities and build national fandom. Each partner nominates a National Team Manager who serves as the public lead and primary EWCF contact, formally confirmed by the Foundation.
While partners handle organization and representation, competitive integrity and player eligibility remain governed by ENC rules and game partner-aligned processes, ensuring fair competition.
$20 Million Development Fund
To support long-term growth, the EWCF will establish the ENC Development Fund with at least $20 million committed annually, starting with ENC 2026. The fund covers travel and logistics for participation while enabling promotional and fan-facing activities.
Support includes training camps with structured fan access, exhibition matches, showcase events, official watch parties, national team tours, and appearances at major gaming events. This infrastructure builds relevance and engagement around national teams beyond the main competition.

Eligible Applicants
Applications are open to esports organizations, clubs, agencies, NGOs, national esports and sport federations, recognized government entities, content creators, and experienced esports professionals with strong national ecosystem ties.
Ralf Reichert, CEO of the Esports World Cup Foundation, emphasized that the ENC represents a natural evolution for sustainable esports, inviting trusted partners to help define how countries participate with clear roles and aligned governance.
Application Process
Applications close January 31, 2026, at esportsnationscup.com. Submissions undergo multi-stage evaluation assessing governance standards, ecosystem standing, operational capability, community reach, and alignment with game partner requirements.
The first cohort of approved National Team Partners will be announced in early 2026. After the Riyadh debut, the ENC will adopt a rotating city model, held biennially to provide dependable structure for long-term investment in national programs.
