Week 4 of the Esports World Cup (EWC) 2026 (https://esportsworldcup.com/) has concluded, marking the halfway point of the global competition. The week featured significant victories across multiple titles, highlighted by the historic win of 15-year-old Jaime “Craime” Bustos in Street Fighter 6, making him the youngest champion in EWC history. Other notable triumphs included Team Spirit in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB), ZETA DIVISION in Overwatch, and G2 Esports in Call of Duty: Warzone.

Esports World Cup 2026- Craime Secures Street Fighter 6 Title

The Street Fighter 6 tournament delivered a notable conclusion as Team Falcons’ Jaime “Craime” Bustos, at 15 years, two months, and 25 days old, claimed the championship. The Chilean competitor, who began his competitive career in 2024, defeated Japanese player Hibiki with a 5-2 score in the final. After losing the first round, Craime recovered to secure the series.

His victory earns him $250,000, qualification for Capcom Cup 13, and 1,000 Club Championship points for Team Falcons. Following his win, Craime expressed gratitude, stating, “I’m very, very happy for my win, and I can’t wait to go back to Chile. This isn’t just me, this is everyone who comes in and helps me. I can’t wait to share this with them.”

Team Spirit Makes MLBB Mid Season Cup History

Team Spirit, representing the EECA region, achieved a historic victory in the MLBB Mid Season Cup. The team navigated a challenging path to the Grand Final, ultimately defeating Yangon Galacticos in a close 4-3 series. Team Spirit initially established a 3-1 lead, but Yangon Galacticos mounted a comeback to tie the series before Team Spirit secured the decisive game.

This triumph marks the first time an EECA team has won the Mid Season Cup, a title traditionally dominated by Southeast Asian teams. The win awards Team Spirit $1,000,000 and 1,000 Club Championship points. Mathaios “Kid Bomba” Chatzilakos was named the Sony Finals MVP for his performance. Kid Bomba, acknowledging his teammates, stated, “I’m so grateful for this award.”

ZETA DIVISION Claims Overwatch Championship

The OWCS: Midseason Championship was won by ZETA DIVISION. This victory also marks the second EWC trophy for Kim “Proper” Dong-hyun, who previously won the Overwatch crown with Team Falcons last year. For ZETA DIVISION, it represents their first major trophy.

The Grand Final against Twisted Minds was a contested series. Both teams secured their chosen maps, leading to a decisive Game 6 on Eichenwalde. ZETA DIVISION broke the deadlock with a map flip, securing a 4-2 series win. The team earned $400,000 and 1,000 Club Championship points. Kim “shu” Jin-seo was recognized as the SONY MVP, receiving an additional $25,000. Shu thanked his team’s leadership, saying, “It’s thanks to all of them that I could stand here now.”

G2 Esports Triumphs in Call of Duty: Warzone

G2 Esports secured the Call of Duty: Warzone Resurgence Series Championship after a competitive final day. The win came down to a close finish, with five teams on match point heading into Game 11. G2 Esports clinched the victory, with both G2 and T1 vying for the title as the final circles closed.

The triumph validates the G2 Esports roster—Anthony “Anziety” Moran, Ashton “Bigman” Ezard, and Aarondeep “Cythe” Dhami—who maintained their lineup after placing 17th in EWC 2025 under a different name. The team received $250,000 and 1,000 Club Championship points. Anthony “Anziety” Moran was awarded the SONY MVP, along with an additional $25,000. Anziety expressed his surprise and excitement, remarking, “It feels amazing. I lost my voice screaming. This is amazing.”

Honor of Kings and Club Championship Race Update

Week 4 also saw the conclusion of the Honor of Kings Play-in Stage, with AG.AL, ROC Esports, Kuaishou Gaming, and Geekay Esports advancing to the Playoffs by topping their respective groups. The Lower Brackets in Week 5 will determine the final four teams, with playoffs scheduled to begin on August 5 and the Grand Final on August 8.

In the Club Championship standings, Team Falcons moved into first place following their Street Fighter 6 win. They added 300 points in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang but failed to score in Call of Duty: Warzone and Overwatch. Team Falcons currently holds a 150-point lead. T1, in 6th place, secured 750 points in Call of Duty: Warzone and 500 points in Overwatch, with Fortnite remaining as their final title. Twisted Minds gained 300 points in Call of Duty: Warzone and 750 points in Overwatch. With five titles still in contention, the Club Championship race remains close.
