Elite Pro Basketball League: Redefining the Game in India

The Elite Pro Basketball League (EPBL) is India’s premier 5×5 pro basketball platform featuring 12 teams and rosters loaded with top-tier Indian talent. Created and managed by Elite Sports India (ESI), the league is committed to uplifting basketball at the grassroots and professional level. It aims to become the ultimate destination for the country’s most talented university and club players.

Global Investment Meets Indian Talent

With the Jaipur Giants now owned by Bradshaw Capital, a U.S.-based investment firm led by Bill Brown, the EPBL gets a major global endorsement. Brown, who previously served as CEO of Montblanc USA, brings not just business acumen but also a deep passion for sports. A former varsity athlete from Cornell University, Brown has been a keen observer of Indian basketball since attending the AIU National Championship in Mumbai back in 2016.

Bill Brown said:
“The Elite Pro Basketball League is a natural destination for India’s best university players. And hopefully, the very best will come to Jaipur!”

Jaipur Giants: New Ownership, Renewed Ambitions

The Jaipur Giants, under their new ownership, have hit the ground running with a strong player lineup. They’ve already signed Prakash Mishra — a former Indian National Team standout and current Indian Railways star — as their marquee player.

Other key players drafted include:

• Rajat Shrivastava
• Samuel Gali

These signings indicate a serious intent to contend in the inaugural season and establish Jaipur as a basketball hub in the region.

League Leadership Speaks

Sunny Bhandarkar, CEO of Elite Pro Basketball, welcomed Bradshaw Capital with optimism and pride:

“Having someone of Bill Brown’s stature as a team owner assures us that the League is on the road to great success. We are committed to growing basketball in India, and this is a giant step forward.”

What This Means for Indian Basketball

The acquisition of the Jaipur Giants by a globally recognized investor adds momentum to India’s pro basketball scene. It reflects growing confidence in India’s sporting ecosystem and opens doors for:

• Global partnerships
• Enhanced infrastructure
• International exposure for Indian talent
• Sustainable league development

With the Jaipur Giants now part of Bradshaw Capital’s portfolio, the Elite Pro Basketball League is setting the stage for a new era of professional basketball in India. As the league inches closer to full swing, fans can expect not just thrilling on-court action, but a league structure built on professionalism, performance, and promise.

India’s basketball dreams just got a powerful ally — and the Jaipur Giants are ready to make a giant leap.
