Eetha Trailer: Shraddha Kapoor Steps Into the World of Tamasha

“Aankhon mein aandhi, pairon mein toofaan, tamasha ki shaan aur hamara abhimaan!” The much-awaited trailer of Eetha has arrived, giving audiences a closer look at Shraddha Kapoor’s transformation into legendary Marathi Lavani and Tamasha performer Vithabai Narayangaonkar.

Directed by Laxman Utekar, the upcoming biographical drama explores the extraordinary journey of a woman whose passion for folk performance turned her into an important figure in Maharashtra’s cultural history. The film is produced by Dinesh Vijan, Laxman Utekar and Karishma Sharma under Maddock Films and Kathputli Creations.

The film is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on December 4, 2026.

Shraddha Kapoor Takes on a Challenging Role

Eetha marks a significant departure from the kind of characters audiences have recently associated with Shraddha Kapoor. Following her success in the Stree franchise, the actor takes on a performance-heavy role rooted in Maharashtra’s traditional folk-theatre culture.

The film draws inspiration from the life of Vithabai Bhau Mang Narayangaonkar, a celebrated Lavani and Tamasha artist who rose from humble beginnings to become one of Maharashtra’s most recognised folk performers.

TechnoSports previously explored the film in its Eetha teaser coverage, while an earlier feature looked at Vaibhavi Merchant’s work on Eetha’s Lavani sequences.

Randeep Hooda and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub Join the Cast

Alongside Shraddha Kapoor, Randeep Hooda and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub play important roles in the film. The supporting cast also includes Siddharth Jadhav, Ishtiyak Khan and Anant Joshi.

Randeep Hooda reportedly portrays Anna Sawant Merchant, adding another important character to Vithabai’s story.

The film’s creative team also includes some prominent names from the Hindi film industry. Kshitij Patwardhan and Laxman Utekar have worked on the story and screenplay, while Patwardhan has written the dialogues.

Ajay-Atul Handle Eetha’s Music

Music is expected to play a major role in Eetha, considering the film’s connection to Lavani and Tamasha traditions. The soundtrack has been composed by Ajay-Atul, with lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya.

Choreographer Vaibhavi Merchant is responsible for the film’s major dance sequences. She has previously spoken about the challenge of maintaining the authenticity of traditional Lavani while presenting it on a much larger cinematic scale.

That combination of music, choreography, costumes and production design could become one of the film’s biggest attractions.

Eetha Release Date Confirmed for December 4

Eetha was originally scheduled to release on August 28, 2026, but Maddock Films later postponed the movie. The film will now reach cinemas on December 4, 2026.

The December release gives Eetha an important theatrical window while also placing it among several major Bollywood releases.

With the trailer now out, audiences finally have a better look at Shraddha Kapoor’s transformation and the emotional world of Vithabai Narayangaonkar.

Eetha releases in cinemas on December 4, 2026.
