Drishyam The Conclusion Worldwide Box Office: Ajay Devgn’s Thriller Scores Rs 92 Crore on Day 1

Ajay Devgn is no longer just an India story. Drishyam The Conclusion grossed an estimated Rs 92 crore worldwide on its opening day, according to Pinkvilla’s trade estimates, and every one of those numbers is a career best for him. Overseas, the film opened to nearly USD 2 million, which is almost equal to the entire opening weekend of the previous Drishyam film.

Why This Matters?

Devgn has delivered big Indian openings with franchises like Golmaal and Singham, but those films never matched that success abroad. This time is different. The film performed well across all major markets, with Australia and North America standing out. In Australia it grossed AUD 295,000, while the US and Canada added USD 500,000 and CAD 310,000.

Those three markets could have done even more. Capacity was a limit, since most key locations were running full. The Middle East and the UK also posted strong numbers.

What About the Weekend?

Growth is expected on Saturday, and the overall weekend trend looks strong. Overseas, the weekend should clear USD 6 million, with a real shot at USD 7 million. From there, USD 10 million lifetime looks all but done, with a likely target of USD 15 million.
