With just a couple of episodes left, Dream to You is throwing everything at viewers — comic relief one moment, gut-punch drama the next. Here’s a spoiler-friendly breakdown of the biggest moments from episodes 9 and 10.

The Unserious Moments

Woo Soo Bin gets thrown off balance when Ju Yi Jae’s ex-boyfriend, a top actor, shows up on their movie set determined to reignite old sparks. Rather than escalating into real conflict, Soo Bin’s jealousy plays out through petty, genuinely funny antics — like getting in the way of photos or challenging his rival to dodgeball — while Yi Jae handles it all with mature, firm boundaries.

Meanwhile, Choi Sa Rang and Seo In Wook finally close their chapter, and the show leans hard into melodrama to do it — complete with a golden sunset, slow motion, and swelling music, despite their relationship never having much screen time to begin with. It’s less heartbreak, more comedic overkill, and it works.

The Upsetting Moments

Just as things lighten up, a real storm hits: it’s revealed that Ahn Soo Hee is Soo Bin’s birth mother, and the public turns on the family overnight. The fallout hits Oh Ha Na especially hard, as she learns she has a secret half-brother — though the crisis does push her and her mother toward a rare, honest conversation.

The scandal also threatens Yi Jae and Soo Bin’s film. Soo Bin steps back from the project while Yi Jae takes the director’s chair solo for the first time, proving her passion and leadership under pressure. But investor backlash forces an impossible choice — either Soo Bin exits the project, or the film gets cancelled entirely.

Moment	Type	What Happens
Ex-boyfriend cameo	Unserious	Soo Bin’s petty jealousy becomes comic relief
Sa Rang & In Wook breakup	Unserious	Overly dramatic send-off for an underdeveloped couple
Birth mother scandal	Upsetting	Public backlash hits the whole family
Movie in jeopardy	Upsetting	Investors force a project-ending ultimatum

Dream to You is part of the growing wave of Korean dramas blending romance with industry-set stakes, and streams for international audiences on Viki.
