They fell in love as teenagers. Life happened. And now — they’ve found each other again. That’s the quietly devastating premise of Dono Mile Iss Tarah, Dharma’s brand new Prime Video original, and honestly, it already feels like the kind of love story that gets rewatched at 2 AM. Karan Johar’s Dharmatic Entertainment officially unveiled the series at Prime Video India’s 2026 slate reveal, fronted by two fresh faces — Katyani Mehra and Zaeden — with their undeniable on-screen chemistry doing all the talking. What Is Dono Mile Iss Tarah About?
The official synopsis follows Laila and Aarav, who fall in love as teenagers and reunite in their twenties after life has reshaped them. That second-chance romance premise gives the show an emotionally direct core — built on timing, memory, and unfinished love. The Sunday Guardian
It’s a story most of us have lived in some version. And that relatability is exactly what makes it dangerous for your emotions.
Dono Mile Iss Tarah Casting — Why It Works
Katyani Mehra’s unforced innocence and Zaeden’s warm, relaxed screen presence give the series a clear tonal identity as a tender, contemporary love story. Without the baggage of overfamiliar screen images, both actors bring a clean emotional canvas — allowing the relationship, not star persona, to stay at the center. The Sunday Guardian
For Zaeden, this series marks a major step into scripted long-form storytelling. For Katyani Mehra, it establishes a prominent debut platform in the mainstream digital space. The Sunday Guardian KJo has done this before — launching Lakshya, backing fresh faces with big production muscle — and it usually works.
Amazon Prime Video has consistently delivered some of India’s most-watched romantic originals, and with Dharmatic’s storytelling pedigree behind this one, Dono Mile Iss Tarah has all the ingredients to be a sleeper hit of 2026.
