The Story That’ll Hit Differently

Main Vaapas Aaunga follows an elderly man consumed by memories of a childhood love story shattered during India’s Partition — a tale built on longing, nostalgia, and emotions left unspoken for decades.

It’s the kind of story only Imtiaz Ali tells — where love isn’t a destination but a haunting. The historical wound of the Partition of India serves as the soul of this narrative, making it far more than just a romance.

The makers captured the film’s essence perfectly, describing it as a story where love “lingers in stolen glances, unfinished conversations, and memories that refuse to fade away.”

The Dream Team Behind the Film

The film is produced by Applause Entertainment together with Mohit Choudhary and Shibasish Sarkar of Window Seat Films, with Tips Music presenting the album.

Diljit Dosanjh’s pan-India stardom, Naseeruddin Shah’s legendary gravitas, the freshness of Sharvari and Vedang Raina — and AR Rahman’s music threading it all together. This team alone makes Main Vaapas Aaunga one of June 2026’s most unmissable watches.
