When a movie sells this many tickets before even releasing, you stop calling it hype — you start calling it history. Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge is doing exactly that, and the numbers are jaw-dropping.
Dhurandhar 2 Advance Booking — Snapshot
| Metric | Numbers |
|---|---|
| Tickets Sold (National Chains – Day 1) | ~2.40 lakh (PVRINOX + Cinepolis) |
| Preview Tickets Sold | ~3.40 lakh |
| Total Day 1 (Including Previews) | ~5.80 lakh tickets |
| Expected Preview Revenue | ₹30–40 crore nett |
| India Advance Booking Potential | ₹100 crore+ nett (before paid premieres) |
| Previous Bollywood Record (National Chains) | 5.45 lakh — Pathaan |
| All-time Worldwide Record | 10 lakh+ — Avengers: Endgame |
| Film Release Date | March 19, 2026 |
Why These Numbers Are Truly Staggering
Let’s put this in perspective. As of 11 PM on March 16, Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge had sold around 2.40 lakh tickets in the top two national chains — PVRINOX and Cinepolis — for the opening day alone. The previews separately crossed the 3.40 lakh sales mark, taking the total Day 1 admissions including paid previews to approximately 5.80 lakh tickets.
That’s not a movie releasing — that’s an event. And it still had two more days of advance booking to go at the time of writing.
The opening day pre-sales are expected to land between 4 lakh and 5 lakh tickets in national chains alone, which would place the film among the biggest advance sales ever recorded for a Bollywood film.

Dethroning Pathaan — Almost
Pathaan currently holds the Bollywood record for biggest pre-sales in national chains with 5.45 lakh tickets for its opening day. Since Dhurandhar 2 is heavily frontloaded, it may remain slightly behind Pathaan in pure Day 1 national chain numbers — but it comfortably surpasses that benchmark when previews are included.
The overall all-time record, however, is in a different galaxy — Avengers: Endgame sold over a million tickets in India, a number that still stands untouched.
What to Expect on Release Day
The previews alone are locked in to cross ₹30 crore nett, and depending on the final surge and walk-ups, could push toward ₹35–40 crore nett A ₹100 crore+ India advance before paid premieres is firmly on the table.
