Design and Display
The XPS 13 has a CNC-machined aluminium body that is only 12.7mm thick and weighs about 1kg, so it is easy to carry. A seamless glass touchpad and a capacitive touch function row replace traditional keys and buttons. The 13.4-inch 2.5K touchscreen can change its refresh rate between 30Hz and 120Hz to save battery when you do not need smooth motion, and it reaches 500 nits of brightness with full DCI-P3 color coverage.
Performance and Memory
All three versions use the same Core Ultra 7 355 chip with eight cores and speeds up to 4.7GHz. The difference lies in memory and storage: 16GB with 512GB or 1TB, or 32GB with 1TB. Memory is soldered LPDDR5X running at 7467 MT/s, so it cannot be upgraded later, which makes the choice at purchase important. Graphics are handled by Intel’s integrated graphics, so this is a laptop for productivity and light creative work, not heavy gaming.
Battery, Ports and Connectivity
A 52Wh battery is rated by Dell for up to 17 hours of streaming, though real use will be lower. Charging comes from a compact 65W GaN adapter. Depending on the configuration, the laptop has two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C ports or two Thunderbolt 4 ports. Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0 cover wireless needs. There is no mention of a headphone jack or card reader in the source.
Is It Worth the Price?
At Rs 1.8 lakh and above, the XPS 13 competes with premium ultraportables from Apple, Lenovo and HP. Its strengths are the light aluminium build, bright touch display and long claimed battery life. Buyers should consider that the base model has only 16GB of non-upgradable memory, and that the price is high for integrated graphics. Compare the final price with bank offers before buying.
What Is Not Confirmed
The camera specification, speaker wattage, exact weight of each configuration and any launch offers were not given in the source. Battery life is a Dell claim. Background on the product line is on Wikipedia.
