In the PC Gaming world, Dell’s Alienware is one of the shining stars. It recently announced a gaming monitor with a refresh rate of 360 Hz. Mainly to compete with the Asus ROG Swift 360, suppose, which was introduced at the CES event of this year. Instead of a TN panel, this monitor has an IPS panel.
Alienware provides both the NVIDIA G-Sync and AMD FreeSync compatibility in its new model. The model with the G-Sync is called Alienware AW2521H and the model with FreeSync support is called Alienware AW2521HF.
Both of the G-Sync and FreeSunc monitors feature a 24.5-inch display with 1ms response rate. As per the company, the refresh rate is overclockable up to 360 Hz from the 240 Hz. Because of the IPS panel, the monitor is capable of delivering 99% sRGB coverage along with wide viewing angles.
The monitor is of 1920 x 1080 resolution. Due to the limited sharpness and detailing levels, for many of us, 1080p is not that desirable. But it is enough standard for the games like CSGO for the higher framerates.
The release date and pricing are still unknown and also the pricing. These details may be revealed in the last quarter of this year.
