The festival opened with packed crowds eager to meet celebrated comic writers and illustrators including Savio Mascarenhas (Tinkle’s Group Art Director), Alok Sharma from Indusverse, and Prasad Bhat from GraphiCurry. Day 1 showcased how Delhi Comic Con has evolved beyond passive consumption into active creator-fan interaction spaces.

Marvel creator Tadam Gyadu impressed with India-inspired storytelling, while illustrator Alaina Vinayak (Axis Williams) showcased bold stylized art—collectively demonstrating how young creators shape Indian pop culture’s next wave.

Cosplay, Gaming, and Immersive Experiences

Talented cosplayers brought fandoms to life as Wolverine, Ringwraiths, Evangelion characters, Loki, Denji, Black Panther, and Zoro wandered the grounds. The celebratory atmosphere amplified through competitive and casual gaming zones where fans battled and celebrated shared passions.

Brand Experience Zones: Maruti Suzuki Arena’s Reflex Zone tested visitor reflexes, while Crunchyroll’s Experience Arena immersed anime fans in vibrant fandom universes. CEO’s Vision: Bridging Generations

Shefali Johnson, CEO of Comic Con India, reflected on the festival’s significance: “Delhi is where Comic Con India began more than a decade ago. I met parents introducing their children to the very comics they grew up reading—that moment captured what Comic Con truly stands for: the connection, magic of storytelling, and shared experiences that bridge generations.”

Day 2 promises heightened excitement with an Amar Chitra Katha session, spellbinding performance by internationally acclaimed magician Karan Singh, and high-energy set by Yung Sammy—the Nigerian-born rapper reshaping India’s hip-hop scene.
