Databricks Just Hired A 30-Year Ecosystem Veteran To Power Its Asia Pacific AI Push

Enterprise AI in Asia Pacific just got a new architect. Databricks has appointed Corrie Briscoe, a former AWS partner executive with three decades of ecosystem experience, to lead its Partnerships and Alliances business across Asia Pacific & Japan (APJ) — a move designed to fast-track how organizations in the region scale agentic AI.

Who Is Corrie Briscoe?

Based in Singapore, Briscoe steps in as Vice President of Partnerships and Alliances for APJ. She joins Databricks from AWS, where she led the APJ Partner Core organization, and previously held senior partner-strategy roles at Microsoft and Cisco.

Databricks: Overview

Why This Appointment Matters

APJ organizations are ramping up investment in agentic AI, but scaling it means navigating fragmented data environments, a shortage of AI-ready talent, and complex governance needs across diverse regulatory regimes. Databricks is betting that strong local partner leadership — working alongside cloud providers, systems integrators, and ISVs — is the key to closing that gap.

The appointment also follows Databricks’ recent launch of the Brickbuilder Partner Network, a global program rewarding partners for turning complex AI implementations into real business impact.

What Leadership Is Saying

Databricks’ Kori O’Brien, Senior Vice President of Global Partnerships, said Briscoe’s leadership will be central to helping partners build the next generation of AI solutions across the region. Briscoe herself pointed to APJ’s diversity — spanning industries, regulations, and varying stages of AI maturity — as exactly why strong local partner expertise matters more than ever right now.
