Daredevil: Born Again Is Ending After Season 3 — 5 Characters Marvel Absolutely Cannot Let Go

Marvel Television just handed fans a gut punch: Daredevil: Born Again will end after its upcoming third season. Coming right on the heels of Wonder Man’s shock cancellation, it’s a sign that Marvel’s Disney+ slate is shrinking. But before the Man Without Fear takes his final bow, there are five characters Marvel simply can’t afford to shelve.

Why This Matters?

Daredevil has been cancelled before — Netflix axed the original series after three acclaimed seasons in 2018. It took years, and a Spider-Man: No Way Home cameo, before Charlie Cox got another shot. Marvel can’t afford a repeat with this ensemble.

The 5 Characters Marvel Must Keep Around

Kingpin still has scores to settle beyond Hell’s Kitchen — in the comics, he’s a recurring foe for Spider-Man too, making him a natural crossover villain as Peter Parker becomes New York’s headline hero in Brand New Day. Elektra, meanwhile, was spotted filming Season 3 after her Deadpool & Wolverine cameo drew strong buzz, fueling solo movie speculation.

This cancellation trend isn’t isolated — Marvel’s streaming slate has taken several hits lately, as we covered in our report on Wonder Man’s shock Season 2 cancellation. It’s a clear signal Marvel Television is tightening its belt, making it even more critical these five characters land safely elsewhere in the MCU.

Conclusion

Season 3 doesn’t have to be the end of the road — just the end of the show. If Marvel gives Murdock, Fisk, Elektra, Bullseye, and Jones proper off-ramps into films or new series, Born Again‘s cancellation could become a launching pad instead of a dead end.
