If you haven’t heard about Colony yet, let’s fix that right now. Directed by Yeon Sang Ho — the same visionary behind Train to Busan and Peninsula — this film already had one of the most jaw-dropping casts assembled for a Korean production. And now, fresh behind-the-scenes photos have been released, and they’re everything fans hoped for.

What Is Colony About?

Colony tells the story of survivors trapped in a building that has been blockaded due to an unknown virus, as those infected evolve into unpredictable forms. Think claustrophobic tension, moral chaos, and a cast good enough to make you forget you’re watching fiction. It’s a natural evolution of Yeon Sang Ho’s signature style — grounded human drama wrapped inside genre-defining horror. What the BTS Photos Actually Tell Us

There’s something special about behind-the-scenes stills from a film like this. They don’t just show actors waiting around — they reveal intent.

Jun Ji Hyun, who looks serious while monitoring a scene, delivered both subtle emotional acting and strong action sequences with precision. For a star of her calibre — someone who essentially defined an era of Korean drama — seeing her this locked-in is quietly thrilling.

Koo Kyo Hwan reveals a charming duality by displaying a playful side and smiling as he lifts his blindfold between takes — a reminder that even the most intense productions have warmth behind them.

And Ji Chang Wook and Kim Shin Rok smiling brightly at the camera shows that the strong chemistry between their characters — siblings Choi Hyun Seok and Choi Hyun Hee — extends beyond the screen. That kind of natural bond between cast members always translates on film.
