Cognizant has expanded its strategic partnership with Google Cloud to operationalize agentic AI at enterprise scale. Announced on February 16, 2026, this collaboration moves beyond platform integration to real-world execution, helping organizations transform AI strategy into deployed, governed systems.

The partnership positions Cognizant as an “AI builder”—a services partner focused on creating purpose-built, enterprise-grade AI solutions that deliver measurable business outcomes rather than theoretical capabilities.

What’s New in This Partnership

Cognizant is deploying Google Workspace alongside Gemini Enterprise internally across its entire organization to enhance productivity, employee experience, and delivery velocity. This internal-first approach demonstrates commitment before commercializing the solution.

Building on internal deployment, Cognizant will launch a new productivity offering combining Gemini Enterprise and Google Workspace. This solution helps clients transition from manual, fragmented workflows to streamlined, AI-driven processes including collaborative content creation and supplier communications.

According to Annadurai Elango, President of Core Technologies and Insights at Cognizant, the company brings together optimal combinations of people and technology, proprietary IP, and deep services expertise to build industry-specific platforms with embedded context tailored to each client’s business needs.

Key Partnership Components

Component	Purpose	Impact
Gemini Enterprise Center of Excellence	Dedicated delivery hub	Consistent enterprise-scale deployment
Agent Development Lifecycle (ADLC)	Integrated AI workflow	Design to production rollout
Cognizant Ignition	Discovery & prototyping	Accelerated data foundation optimization
Cognizant Agent Foundry	No-code solutions	Rapid value through pre-configured use cases

Delivery Infrastructure and Capabilities

As a multi-year Google Cloud Data Partner of the Year award winner, Cognizant is establishing a dedicated Gemini Enterprise Center of Excellence. This center will provide delivery capabilities required to deploy agentic AI consistently at enterprise scale.

The company will operationalize delivery through its Agent Development Lifecycle (ADLC), integrating AI directly into development workflows from design and blueprinting through implementation, validation, and production rollout.

Cognizant Ignition, enabled by Gemini, accelerates discovery and prototyping while optimizing client data foundations. Meanwhile, Cognizant Agent Foundry delivers rapid value through no-code capabilities and pre-configured solutions for high-impact use cases like AI-powered contact centers and intelligent order management.

Global Execution Strategy

With its global cadre of Gemini-trained specialists, Cognizant will scale delivery across agentic coding initiatives and Google Distributed Cloud programs. These capabilities will be showcased through existing Google Experience Zones and Gen AI Studios worldwide.

Kevin Ichhpurani, President of Global Ecosystem and Channels at Google Cloud, emphasized that the partnership brings together advanced AI technology and deep industry expertise to help enterprises operationalize agentic AI with solutions that deliver real business impact.

The Bottom Line

This enhanced partnership demonstrates a practical model for enterprise-scale agentic AI adoption. Rather than focusing solely on platform selection, Cognizant and Google Cloud provide execution-ready operating models that address what enterprises actually need: clarity, governance, and measurable business impact from AI investments.

The collaboration positions both companies strategically as organizations worldwide seek trusted partners who can translate AI potential into deployed, functioning systems that improve everyday business operations.
