SCD1Some love stories begin with a glance. This one begins with a lost phone and a lecture on the law. SBS’s upcoming romance drama Nine to Six has released stills of Park Min Young and Yook Sungjae’s unfortunate first encounter, and it’s already winning hearts.
What Is Nine to Six About?
Park Min Young plays Kang Ji Yi, a workaholic who has long pushed her love life aside for her career. Then she meets Han Seon Woo (BTOB’s Yook Sungjae), a thoughtful and warm-hearted man who teaches her how to love. Together, they grow in both their careers and personal lives. It’s a workplace romance, a popular K-drama formula, with a promising opposites-attract twist.

Two Very Different People
- Kang Ji Yi: She is the deputy manager of the legal team at Chronic Motors. A perfectionist, she leaves no room for error and has proven her worth through skill.
- Han Seon Woo: He joins her team as a new intern. He is caring and emotional, with an outlook and personality very different from hers.
Her logic against his heart is where the sparks are likely to fly.
The Wrong-Foot Meeting
In the newly released stills, the two meet in the middle of the street. Ji Yi picks up a phone Seon Woo dropped, then blocks his path and demands an explanation, studying him with a sharp gaze. She even cites relevant legal clauses, using the same cool, logical approach she brings to work.
Seon Woo is clearly caught off guard. With wide eyes, he gestures at himself and insists it’s all a misunderstanding. But he’s no match for her firm manner.
It’s an amusing start, and a classic setup for a romance where first impressions are about to be overturned.
Why You Should Watch?
A rocky first meeting, a workaholic heroine and a gentle intern make a charming mix. Add the comfortable chemistry that Park Min Young is known for and Yook Sungjae’s warm screen presence, and you have a drama that looks like easy, feel-good viewing.
While you wait for November 25, you can watch Park Min Young in Love in Contract and Yook Sungjae in The Haunted Palace on Viki.
