Circle Chart Weekly Winners: AKMU Secures Triple Crown as CORTIS and BTS Dominate!

Hey K-pop fans! The numbers are officially in for the week of May 21, 2026, and the Circle Chart (formerly Gaon) is looking absolutely legendary. This week, we saw a mix of “Digital Monsters” and global powerhouses fighting for the top spot. Whether you’re a fan of soothing harmonies or high-energy anthems, the latest rankings prove that the K-pop industry is in its peak era!

The AKMU Phenomenon: A Triple Crown Win

The sibling duo AKMU (Akdong Musician) has officially achieved a Triple Crown this week. Their latest track has dominated three separate categories: the Digital Chart, the Streaming Chart, and the Social Chart 2.0. It’s a rare feat that proves their music resonates with the general public just as much as it does with hardcore fans.

CORTIS and BTS: Global Chart Leaders

While AKMU ruled the digital space, the physical and global sectors saw some heavy hitters. CORTIS landed at No. 1 on the Album Chart with their massive hit “GREENGREEN,” while BTS continued their reign on the Global K-pop Chart with “SWIM.”

Rising Stars: ILLIT’s Retail Success

Not to be outdone, the “super rookies” ILLIT secured the top spot on the Retail Album Chart. Their consistent presence in the top tiers of multiple charts shows they are becoming a permanent fixture in the 5th Gen conversation.
