Why the Cast of The Potato Lab Works So Well
The cast of the potato lab brings a perfect mix of chemistry and experience to this quirky office romance. Lee Sun Bin shines as Kim Mi Gyeong, a dedicated potato researcher who’s spent 12 years perfecting her secret project to create a revolutionary new potato variety. Her portrayal balances professional determination with unexpected vulnerability.
Kang Tae Oh, beloved for his role in the hit K-drama Extraordinary Attorney Woo, plays So Baek Ho, the newly appointed institute director who disrupts Mi Gyeong’s carefully ordered world. Fans of his previous work will recognize the same warmth and nuanced acting that made him a breakout star.
The supporting cast elevates every scene. Lee Hak Joo, known for his powerful performance in The World of the Married, brings depth to Park Gi Se, while Shin Hyun Seung’s portrayal of Kim Hwan Gyeong adds complexity to the workplace dynamics. The ensemble also includes Kim Ga Eun, Kwak Ja Hyung, Yoo Seung Mok, Woo Jeong Won, Nam Hyun Woo, Kim Ji Ah, Yoon Jung Sub, and Jin Ga Eun.
