Bybit Just Turned Cricket Into Free Crypto — And Every Indian Needs to Know This

Cricket runs in India’s veins. Whether it’s a nail-biting last-over finish or a neighbourhood gully match, the sport brings 1.4 billion people to the edge of their seats. Now, Bybit — the world’s second-largest cryptocurrency exchange — is tapping into that very emotion to make crypto more accessible, more fun, and more rewarding for Indian users.

What Is Bybit’s Cricket Referral Campaign?

Launched on 16th April 2026, Bybit has rolled out a first-of-its-kind cricket-themed, gamified referral campaign in India. The concept is brilliantly simple: catch a falling cricket ball in the game, earn reward points, and convert them into free crypto rewards.

It doesn’t stop there. Invite your friends to join and unlock even bigger rewards — turning a solo game into a shared celebration, much like cricket itself.

This campaign is part of Bybit’s broader localisation strategy for India, a market where cryptocurrency adoption is growing rapidly among a young, tech-savvy population.

Bybit Campaign Highlights at a Glance

Why Cricket + Crypto Is a Masterstroke

With 66.1% of India’s population emotionally connected to cricket, any brand that speaks cricket speaks directly to the heart of its audience. Bybit clearly understands this.

“Cricket is an emotion that connects millions, and bringing that energy into a digital experience allows users to interact, compete, and share rewards in a way that feels natural.” — Vikas Gupta, Bybit

The timing is equally sharp. With the ongoing cricket season at peak fervour, user engagement is naturally elevated — and Bybit is riding that wave intelligently. The expected 30–40% referral uplift is a strong indicator that culturally rooted campaigns outperform generic crypto promotions every single time.
