What Happened to Rue in Episode 5?

Throughout Season 3, Rue has been working as a drug mule for Laurie before switching allegiance to strip-club mogul Alamo — and a DEA officer has since gotten her to work as a mole to investigate Laurie’s drug ring from the inside.

In Episode 5, Rue’s double life starts to crumble. After Rue tries to frame Magick (Rosalía) by planting cocaine baggies in her locker, Magick gets her revenge by convincing Alamo that Rue is a snitch who should have recognised the voices of the robbers from the previous episode.

Alamo finds Rue at a diner where she is sitting with Maddy. Instead of making a public scene, he calmly tells her to get into the truck outside. G and Bishop take her phone, drive her to a remote location, and bring her to Kidd — who is waiting with a shovel. Rue is forced to dig a hole, and once it is deep enough, they bury her body under the dirt with only her head above ground. No — and here’s the proof. In the Season 3 trailer at the 2:18 minute mark, Laurie is heard asking “What happened to you?” — to which Rue responds with a broken nose: “Alamo tried to kill me.
