The Big Stories Explained

1. Kartik Aaryan & Sreeleela’s Film — No Delays

The most anticipated new Bollywood pairing is absolutely on track. Director Anurag Basu confirmed the film is progressing well and will release in 2026 as planned. Presented by T-Series and produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar, this project has been generating enormous buzz since its announcement — partly because it marks the first on-screen collaboration between Kartik and Sreeleela. No title has been officially confirmed yet, though speculation around it being connected to Aashiqui 3 continues. For more Bollywood film updates, visit technosports.co.in.

2. Sanjay Dutt Confirms Khalnayak Returns AND Vaastav 2

In a week that sent 90s Bollywood fans into collective nostalgia overdrive, Sanjay Dutt dropped a teaser for Khalnayak Returns, reprising his role as the iconic villain Ballu Balram from the 1993 original — a film that also starred Madhuri Dixit and Jackie Shroff, directed by Subhash Ghai. At the same launch event, he also confirmed that Vaastav 2 is in the works, with him returning as the beloved character Raghu. Two sequels in one week. Nobody saw that coming.

3. Michael (2026) — MJ’s Nephew Plays the King of Pop

The much-anticipated Michael Jackson biopic finally released on April 24, 2026. Directed by Antoine Fuqua, the film stars Jaafar Jackson — the pop legend’s nephew — in the lead role, tracing Michael’s journey from his Jackson 5 days to his solo stardom. The supporting cast includes Miles Teller, Colman Domingo, and Mike Myers. The film has already become one of the biggest Hollywood openers in India this year.

4. Citadel Season 2 — Priyanka Chopra Is Back

Prime Video confirmed Citadel Season 2 is dropping on May 6, 2026, across 240 countries. Priyanka Chopra Jonas returns as Nadia Sinh alongside Richard Madden as Mason Kane, with Stanley Tucci reprising his role as Bernard Orlick. The season runs seven episodes and adds new faces including Jack Reynor and Matt Berry to the spy-action ensemble.

5. Hollywood Love Update: Jack Quaid Weds, Harry Styles Gets Engaged

The Boys co-stars Jack Quaid and Claudia Doumit tied the knot in a private ceremony at Mona Farm in Braidwood, Australia. Meanwhile, Harry Styles and Zoë Kravitz appear to be engaged after being spotted in London with Zoë sporting a ring — a development that has sent the internet into a full spiral, though neither has officially confirmed.

Dhanush’s Directorial: Not Anytime Soon

The Tamil superstar gave an honest, detailed breakdown of his packed schedule — D55 (with Mammootty, Sreeleela, Sai Pallavi), Mari Selvaraj’s film, a project with director Tamizharasan Pachamuthu, and Vada Chennai 2 — all queued before he can even think about sitting in the director’s chair again after Idli Kadai.
