Samsung Electronics announced that they have begun mass production of industry’s 1st 2nd Generation of 10nm-Class, LPDDR4X DRAM. “10nm-class” denotes a process technology node somewhere between 10 and 19 nm. They created an 8GB LPDDR4X mobile DRAM package by combining four of the upper mentioned chips (16Gb=2GB). The changes of smartphones can happen for this are
- Up to a 10 percent power reduction while maintaining the same data rate of 4,266 megabits per second.
- The package can realize a data rate of 34.1GB per second.
- Reduce thickness of more than 20% than 1st Gen package.
“The advent of 10nm-class mobile DRAM will enable significantly enhanced solutions for next-generation, flagship mobile devices that should first hit the market late this year or the first part of 2019.” said Sewon Chun, senior vice president of Memory Sales & Marketing at Samsung Electronics. “We will continue to grow our premium DRAM lineup to lead the ‘high-performance, high capacity, and low power’ memory segment to meet the market demand and strengthen our business competitiveness.”

My goal is to return by 2020 Olympics after having baby, says Sania Mirza
Indian tennis star Sania Mirza, expects her first child with her cricketer husband Shoaib Malik and hopes to return by Olympics 2020.
Sania Mirza is eyeing a return to the sport after the birth of her child. Speaking in an interview to Gulf News, the 31-year old said she hopes to make a comeback to tennis by Olympics 2020 in Tokyo. “There’s an option of protective rankings where you protect your ranking and then try and come back. So you can freeze your rankings. I have done that. It’s a long way off. We are still in 2018 and my goal is obviously to try and come back to 2020 Olympics. ” Mirza said.
The winner of six Grand Slam doubles title added that she takes inspiration from other stars. Kim Clijsters and Serena Williams have also returned after pregnancy. “There are at least 20 mothers out there who are playing. It is incredible, including Kim Clijsters who has come back and won grand slams after she had a child. Serena is the greatest tennis player we have, but even for her, it has not been easy. To be out of the game for a year and a half and then get back into the back to the same level isn’t easy. You can get back into the game, but to reach the same level takes time. ” Mirza said.
On being questioned whether she could maintain a family and career life simultaneously after having a child. Mirza said she has never followed the “traditional women route” in her life. “I have not followed the ‘traditional women route’ in my life. I have always been the odd one out and I am glad that I was one. My parents have always supported all my decisions. So whether I was playing tennis in Hyderabad at a time when nobody dreamed of playing tennis or winning Wimbledon or marrying the person that I loved or having a child after eight years of our marriage. I have always lived life on my own terms. ” she said.
“I want my child to be self-confident, self-sufficient and independent. While my child will be my number one priority. But that does not mean I have to spend every single minute of the day with them to make them a good person or to parent them. ” she added. Mirza further said she and her husband understand the pressures that come with being a part of the sports fraternity. “There are days when we are both playing matches and he will have a great day, while I had a terrible one. I have to be happy for him, but I can’t be as I’m sad for myself. But he does not take that personally. It has happened to him too. Sport has taught us how to take victories and defeats. It has taught us how to bounce back. For us, sport is a way of life and we always believe that tomorrow’s always another day. ” the 2015 Wimbledon doubles title winning star said.

India draw against Essex in the practice game.
India failed to bowl out county side Essex in 94 overs. Then Shikhar Dhawan and Cheteshwar Pujara suffered another batting failure on the final day of the one-off practice game. It leaves the visitors with plenty to ponder ahead of the first Test.

KL Rahul, who was among the runs in the first innings alongside skipper Virat Kohli, Dinesh Karthik, Murali Vijay and Hardik Pandya, was sent out to open today alongside the struggling Dhawan. The stylish right-hander made a strong case for selection in the series opener. He made an unbeaten 36 off 64 balls, following his 58 in the first innings.
It remains to be seen whether the team management sticks to the left-right combination of Dhawan and Vijay or brings in Rahul at the top. Pujara is also not a certain starter. And if he is overlooked, Rahul can also bat at his number three position.

Cristiano Ronaldo agrees to a two-year jail sentence and a big fine in tax evasion case
The Portuguese soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo agrees with the Spanish prosecutors to a massive fine and prison sentence though he is unlikely to serve any time as he is a first time offender.
Ronaldo left his mark on the Spanish league (La Liga) and became a legend of his side Real Madrid CF during the period of 2009 to 2018. He was accused by Spanish authorities for evading a lump sum amount of 14.7 million euros (about 17.1 million) in taxes during his time in Spain mostly between 2011 and 2014.
The prosecutors moreover alleged that Ronaldo set up a company in 2010 to manage his image rights in the British Virgin Island and then transferred the rights un second company in Ireland, just to confirm the Spanish tax authorities.
