OnePlus’s new Smart TV will have three models officially confirmed and pricing hinted

Previously we have also heard from the officials that this is going to be an affordable smart TV series and may start from less than Rs. 20,000. As hinted before, the company has recently tweeted with another hint revealing that there will be three different models of the upcoming smart TV. Not only this the pricing of the smart TVs is also hinted in the image.

Reports claimed that the OnePlus Smart TVs had been certified and there were seemingly two different models – 32-inches and 43-inches. It was also anticipated that there may be another size which can be 55-inches. There was no such official news about the models but now OnePlus has made it clear that there will be three different models and the sizes will be different.

According to reports, the 32″ model might have HD resolution whereas the 43″ and 55″ variants might feature FHD and QHD panels, respectively. Amazon has created a landing page whereas OnePlus India has tweeted this and both have asked to guess the starting price of the television. The image mentions “₹1X,999 | ₹2X,999 | ₹4X,999” as the price, where we have to guess the value to ‘X’.

So in the worst-case scenario if the value to ‘X’ is ‘9’ then the price of the smart TV becomes ₹19,999, ₹29,999, ₹49,999 which is almost $265/€235, $395/€355, $660/€590 respectively. From this, we can have an idea about what could be the maximum possibility of the starting price.

For reference, the OnePlus Q1 is priced at ₹69,900 ($925/€825) and the Q1 Pro at ₹99,900 ($1,320/€1,180). These are premium and previous year’s models, still, you can guess where the price can head for this new upcoming series.

New AMD Ryzen 3000XT CPUs spotted on Geekbench

After a prolonged series of leaks and rumours, AMD finally launched the Matisse refresh Ryzen 3000XT CPUs on June 16th with an availability date on July 7th. These CPUs offer a minor increase in clock speeds to result in better gaming performance and having spotted them in various benchmarks, finally, we get a glimpse of its Geekbench scores thanks to @TUM_APISAK.

There are three processors in the lineup: the Ryzen 5 3600XT, Ryzen 7 3800XT and Ryzen 9 3900XT. The processors offer a 100-200 MHz higher boost clocks than the predecessors. So, on paper, this should not bring huge improvements when compared to predecessors but can help in gaming at the same MSRP at which their predecessors were launched.

So, in the leaked Geekbench benchmark we see AMD Ryzen 9 3900XT used in a Gigabyte Aorus X570 Master motherboard along with 16GB of 3200MHz DDR4 dual-channel RAM. The new CPU scored 1324 point in the single-core test and 10945 points in the multi-core test. The new 12-core CPU was spotted operating at 3.80 GHz base clock speed and 4.57 GHz boost clock speeds.

The scores were not that convincing until @TUM_APISAK shared the benchmark scores of the whole lineup:

All of the benchmarks were done using Gigabyte Aorus X570 Master motherboard but we see a handsome amount of improvement in single-core scores along with massive multi-core improvements as well. The Ryzen 7 3800XT has a great single-core score of 1408 points while the Ryzen 9 3900XT scored 12970 points in multi-core, ripping the competition off.

If this Geekbench score is taken into consideration, the top-of-the-line Core i9-10900K manages to offer 1400 points in single-core test while 11063 points in multi-core benchmark, which clearly makes the Ryzen CPU winner. While for the Core i7-10700K, manages to score just 9467 points in multi-core benchmarks while Ryzen 7 3800XT scores 9795 points already and a 1408 point score in single-core, making Ryzen CPUs edging past Intel at lower prices.

With few tweaks, AMD has made these Ryzen 3000XT very eligible to compete with these latest 10th Gen Intel desktop CPUs and challenge its single-core frequency dominance to some extent while destroying them in multi-core scores.

Asus ROG Phone 3 has finally received the Bluetooth certification yesterday and many other certifications alongside as the launch are nearing. This is the last in the line of certification to be received by a smartphone before launch which also clarifies that the launch is undoubtedly sooner than ever.

Before this, the ROG Phone 3 was also certified by the Wi-Fi Alliance and EEC and it was also been spotted in benchmark databases. The Bluetooth version is 5.1 for this device and is the latest.

To recall, the ROG Phone 2 came with an exclusive gaming experience created by Tencent. Asus also partnered with Tencent to bring a few optimized games to take advantage of the 120Hz display. There is no such official news on its specifications yet, but we do know that it will feature the latest Snapdragon 865 SoC and may have 144Hz display with triple rear camera setup and almost the same design as the ROG Phone 2.

According to the rumor, ROG Phone 3 will sport a 6.59-inch FHD+ OLED panel with a 144Hz refresh rate and will be powered by a Snapdragon 865 chipset. Here we suspect that the main Kryo 585 core is the one that’s going to be clocked at 3.09 GHz as opposed to the 2.84 GHz clock on the standard version of the CPU. It will also pack a whopping 16GB of RAM and a massive 6,000 mAh battery capable of 30W fast charging.

Two days back, on 25th June, PUBG Mobile officially revealed the new upcoming map name – LIVIK and made that available on the PUBG Mobile Beta as SecretMap. The developers added so many new interactive nature elements to this map to make the game more interesting, more realistic, and more challenging. Besides that, it holds another specialization.

The producer of PUBG Mobile Rick Li revealed to The Verge – the map is for those players having less time in hand for refreshment and also have an interest in Battle Royal. A match in LIVIK will last around 15 minutes only. The reasons for this shorter time are only two kilometers by two kilometers battleground and maximum up to 40 attended players in a match at a time.

All of these have the ability to affect your game. For example, you may be washed away by the water flow of the waterfall and the hot springs are able to restore your health up to a certain limit. You can use these impacts in your favor and come up with a new trick.

Microsoft launches new Surface Pro X with 7W Surface SQ1 chipset at $999

Borrowing the design aesthetics from its Surface Pro lineup, this is a 13-inch tablet that is just 5.3 mm thick. The touchscreen display has a 2,880 x 1,920 resolution, with Microsoft promising a 1,400:1 contrast ratio and a 267 PPI. Also, it features the thinnest bezels ever on a tablet cum notebook.

YouTube is testing 15-seconds Multi-Segment Videos to rival TikTok

From the past year, TikTok has gained quite a large community and worldwide popularity. According to Wikipedia, TikTok is a Chinese video-sharing social networking service owned by ByteDance, a Beijing-based company founded in 2012 by Zhang Yiming. It is used to create short dance, lip-sync, comedy, and talent videos. The app was launched in 2017 for iOS and Android in markets outside of China.

The success of TikTok has inspired YouTube to come up with an idea and now the company is developing an app which they are calling “Shorts” to compete with TikTok. Shorts will allow you to post the short videos on your feed in the app and it is planning to lure them with its rich licensing music library. Moreover, YouTube’s experiments support page, the company has started testing a feature that will enable users to record 15-second multi-segment videos.

What is Multi-Segment Video?

If you use TikTok anytime you can see a special type of video recording system which allows users to hold on the shutter butter to record the video and the video will stop recording after releasing the button and will keep in pause, again if it is kept in hold then it will resume recording. This is how a multi-segment video is made and YouTube is working on such feature to allow its users to record a multi-segment video like this till 15 seconds.

YouTube will release this feature on its mobile app where users will be able to shoot multiple segments and finally will be combine automatically to make a video of maximum 15 seconds.

How to use this feature?

In the testing period if you are really lucky then you will see a new ‘create a video’ option under the video upload section within the YouTube mobile app. It will sit next to the existing ‘Record’ and ‘Go Live’ buttons.

Until now this feature will be available for few creators and everyone will not be able to access it.  “We’re starting these experiments on mobile (both Android and iOS) with a small group of people while we gather feedback,” states the support page.
