LaLiga president reveals the target dates to resume the 2019-20 season

0

The Coronavirus pandemic which originated in the Chinese city of Wuhan has spread all over the world. It has already claimed over 53,000 lives worldwide while infecting more than a million people. The whole world is mourning right now.

All the major football leagues around the globe have been suspended as a result the clubs and the leagues are facing financial loses. LaLiga will lose around €1 billion if the 2019-20 season is declared ‘null and void’.

La Liga president Javier Tebas has revealed potential dates to restart the 2019-20 campaign. There are three proposed dates for the league to restart: 28th May, 6th June and 28th June.

javier tebas

Javier Tebas told reporters in a teleconference on Tuesday: “We are considering the idea of playing again, in Spain and other European countries, on May 29 or, alternatively, on June 6 or June 28. If we start LaLiga on May 28, the Champions League would be in July; if we start on June 6, all the competitions would be played together until July 31.”

“And if we start on June 28, July would be for LaLiga and August for the Champions League. With these dates, obviously, there is time to start training again, respecting the activity resumption protocol that we have designed for LaLiga.”

“By the end of the season we would not want to go beyond the month of August, and it is obvious that all this will affect the schedule for the next season.”

Tebas firmly said that cancelling the season was not an option: “No, not mentioned at all at the moment. It is a hypothesis that we do not contemplate. We want to end it, probably behind closed doors. And it is curious, by chance, that the clubs that want to end the season here are the ones from the bottom of the League, the ones that are fighting not to be relegated.”

“I can assure you that no major nor mid-season championships intend to cancel the season, whoever talks about this does so for personal interests. Not finishing the 2019-20 season would bring a measurable loss of €1bn. If we finish behind closed doors, the economic damage will be €350million.”

“If we could play with the public, the losses would still be €150m. As for TV rights in the League, we raised 90 per cent of the total. If we no longer have to play, in addition to giving up the remaining 10 per cent, we would have to return 18 per cent of what we have already raised.”

Leaked: Intel Core i9-10900K with 5.3 GHz & Core i7-10700K with 5.1 GHz boost clock speeds

0

A leaked promo material of the new 10th Gen Comet lake Desktop CPUs has been published by VideoCardz. This info includes specs of the 3 upcoming unlocked Intel processors including the top-of-the-line Intel Core i9-10900K, Core i7-10700K, and Core i5-10600K.

The marketing info confirms the fact that the unlocked Core i9-10900K will be able to boost to a clock rate of 5.3 GHz by utilizing Thermal Velocity Boost. As per previous leaks, this high-end chip will feature 10 cores and 20 threads along with a high 125 W TDP and has the ability to produce a regular all-core turbo boost of 4.8 GHz (single-core: 5.1 GHz).

Leaked: Intel Core i9-10900K with 5.3 GHz & Core i7-10700K with 5.1 GHz boost clock speeds
via VideoCardz

The Intel Core i7-10700K is another important Comet Lake CPU offering 8 cores and 16 threads and surprisingly it can also reach a boost clock rate of over 5 GHz. This Intel CPU can actually manage up to 5.1 GHz using the max turbo 3.0.

The Core i5-10600K could end up being the most attractive option out of the three as this will the be first unlocked Core i5 CPU utilizing 125 W TDP and can deliver an impressive clock speed up to 4.8 GHz (single-core). This Core i5 chip features 6 cores and 12 threads, can be quite competitive to the best selling Ryzen 5 3600/ 3600X if Intel prices it correct.

On the other hand, it is sure that if you want to use the new 10th Gen Intel desktop CPUs then you’ll be requiring the new LGA 1200 socket motherboard. This will again increase prices if you want to upgrade but first-time buyers can at least manage but the prices of this board will be the key factor for the sales of these new Comet Lake-S desktop CPUs.

If invested heavily on cooling, these unlocked CPUs can give high performance especially in gaming because of the high single-core frequency. The Intel Core i9-10900K, Core i7-10700K, and Core i5-10600K are speculated to be launching this month on the April 30th.

LG’s Launching Replacement of rumored “G” series on April 15

0

According to reports, LG is going to unveil the replacement of the “G” series. Few reports even confirm that LG held a product briefing for the three Korean telecoms where it spilled the details on the launch date and the launch is likely to take place on April 15. The reports claim that the South Korean giant has not revealed the exact names of the series and its devices as well. There are several rumors spreading now that the tech giant is going to replace the whole “G” series with this new series.

LG could present a new series on May 15 to replace its G lineup

According to South Korean news outlet Naver News, the new series by LG may feature a Snapdragon 7-series chipset. Other features that are tipped in the unnamed series are dual-screen support, 5G connectivity, quad rear camera setup with 48-megapixel primary camera, and 4,000mAh battery. If rumors about the 5G support are true, it is safe to assume that LG will pack Snapdragon 765 or 765G chipsets since they are the only 7-series chips from Qualcomm to feature a 5G modem.

Though we have not been confirmed about the chipset till now, everything is unclear right now. In order to replace the G series, LG needs to recreate another smartphone with dual-screen and this time with the flagship chipset available to get the 5G connectivity on the other hand. Only Snapdragon 865 SoC has the capability to support 5G at this point and if we see the previous G series specially the dual-screen G8x ThinQ it was featuring the top of the line Snapdragon 855.

So, this time we can hope for the best as the company is thinking to replace the whole series there might be few mid-range and flagships as well. LG’s new phone series will reportedly come with a price tag in the KRW 900,000 ($720-€670) range. LG is going to take another turn in its smartphone marketing strategy and let’s see whether it is going to hit the bull’s eye or not.

Liverpool signed Virgil Van Dijk from Southampton in January 2018. He has been one of the best winter transfers of all time for the club.

This season too, Van Dijk has been in top form. Liverpool leads the Premier League table by 25 points. They would have been crowned Champions till now but the Coronavirus pandemic has played the spoilsport. The Premier League has been suspended.

“The coaches send me daily programmes and they also ask us how it is has gone. It’s good for us; we stay in shape, not like before, but as best we can.”

“I miss the day to day routine; going to the Club’s training ground and seeing my teammates. It’s difficult to sit at home and wait for everything to be ok but we have to do it. We have to be patient and we will be back training soon.”

He also spoke about his first six months at Barca, who was regular player for his team, and offered his thoughts on his performances, his favourite game so far and praised Ansu Fati.

Liverpool have reversed their decision to place some staffs on furlough scheme

0

All the football clubs around the globe are facing financial problems as the football leagues have been suspended due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

The clubs have no earnings right now. They don’t receive profits from match earnings and sponsorship fees. So they are finding it difficult to pay the employees.

Players of many clubs have accepted salary cuts to help their club pay other employees. But for Premier League clubs nothing has been confirmed yet.

UK government introduced a ‘furlough’ scheme in which the staffs who aren’t getting paid by their employers will receive 80% of their salary.

Few days ago, Liverpool decided to place their non-playing staffs on furlough scheme and provide them with the rest of 20% salary in order to ensure they get their full wages. But this decision backfired as many of their former players Jamie Carragher, Danny Murphy and Dietmar Hamann criticised the decision.

Less than six weeks ago, Liverpool announced £42million pre-tax profits. So it was unfair for the Premier League leaders to take advantage of the government’s ‘furlough’ scheme.

liverpool

Liverpool CEO Peter Moore announced their intentions to find ‘alternative means’ to ensure the club’s employees don’t lose money over this period without football. They have reversed their decision on placing the employees on furlough scheme.

The official statement read: “We believe we came to the wrong conclusion last week to announce that we intended to apply to the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme and furlough staff. We are truly very sorry for that.”

“Our intentions were and still are, to ensure the entire workforce is given as much protection as possible from redundancy and loss of earnings during this unprecedented period.”

“We are therefore committed to finding alternative ways to operate while there are no football matches being played that ensures we are not applying for the government relief scheme.”

Alleged Surface Book 3 powered by Core i5-1035G1 & 8GB RAM spotted on 3DMark

0

Previously, we spotted a Microsoft device with a new processor named Core i5-1035G1, codenamed as OEMQN Product Name EV1 has now been spotted on 3DMark and again with featuring the Core i5-1035G1.  So, its real, a new Surface Book 3 with new 10th Gen Intel CPUs will be coming this year itself.

The new Core i5-1035G1 is a quad-core Ice Lake-U CPU with a 15 W default TDP along with Hyper-Threading enabled. It is basically a new 10nm chip with 1.0 GHz base clock, but can temporarily reach 3.6 GHz at 25 W using Intel Turbo Boost.

It seems the Core i5-1035G1 variant will be base variant of this new Surface Book lineup and the device is seen featuring 256 GB of SSD and 8 GB of RAM this time. It’s very unlikely to see new generations of the Surface Pro and Surface Laptop soon but the new Surface Book 3 might soon be ready to be released to the market.

However, one thing to be noticed its that this is not the same OEMQN Product Name EV1 SKU that we have seen previously meaning that this 3DMark listing is for a lower-end SKU. Previously the Surface Book 3 that appeared on UserBenchmark featured 16 GB of dual-channel RAM and 512 GB SSD.

It will interesting to see how Microsoft lines its new Surface Book 3 lineup and when exactly do we see an hardware event from them but we do not have wait too long before Microsoft showcases these Core i5-1035G1 powered machines.

Intel Core i7-1185G7 Tiger Lake CPU spotted on 3DMark, 3.0 GHz at 28W?

0

The Blue team is facing a stiff competition from AMD in the mobile processor lineup as well this time and their Tiger Lake-U series is the only one thing that Intel can fight back with. The new 10nm architecture will be succeeding Ice Lake CPUs along with a new CPU core architecture and a new Xe graphics engine.

Being limited to quad-core only, Ice Lake wasn’t that overwhelming but it was an efficient set of CPUs and there’s no doubt we have some high expectations for the Tiger Lake architecture. Already there are some 3DMark Time Spy listing for a processor called the Core i7-1185G7 which could be the new Tiger Lake CPU.

Intel Core i7-1185G7 Tiger Lake CPU spotted on 3DMark, 3.0 GHz at 28W?

The Intel Core i7-1185G7 reports to have a 3.0 GHz base clock, 700 MHz higher than that of last year’s flagship Core i7-1068G7. But at a TDP of 28 W the boost clock reported is very likely to be incorrect.

Now, the TDP is a confusing issue for us because multiple enthusiasts thinks that the Core i7-1185G7 is a 28 W TDP processor, making it comparable to the Core i7-1068G7. However, if we consider Intel’s naming scheme for the Ice Lake architecture, a CPU with the capability of reaching 28 W must have an 8 in before the GPU suffix. So, if a 28 W Tiger Lake-U chip exists, it should be called the Core i7-1188G7, not the i7-1185G7.

On the other hand, the tipster @TUM_APISAK reports the Core i7-1185G7 to have a CPU score of 2,922 and a graphics score of 1,296, whereas the Ryzen 7 4800U has scored 1,227 points in the same graphics test, giving the Core i7-1185G7 a 5-6% lead. But the CPU score is very underwhelming against the new AMD APUs.

This leak raises a lot of questions regarding the new Tiger Lake-U CPUs about their TDP, clock speeds, whether still there will be 4 cores? While the 3 GHz base clock seems good enough but the graphics is underwhelming so the Core i7-1185G7 is still mysterious as of now but in the coming days more details will be leaked of this new Tiger Lake-U series.
