Luis Saurez not included in the Barca squad to face Nastic, his Juventus move almost confirmed

0

It was ultimately the fate of Luis Saurez to leave the club but not like this way as Koeman remains stubborn to not include the Uruguyuan in the squad to face Nastic. So, his move to some other club gets confirmed with this squad selection anyway.

Among the 25 men squad, almost all major names like Messi and even Coutinho is included. However, only the two departures in form of Luis Saurez and Arturo Vidal have not been selected which suggests they will surely be leaving the club before the season starts.

On one hand, Arturo Vidal is all set to join Inter as a free agent to meet his favorite coach Antonio Conte whereas Luis Saurez’s next possible destination as for now seems Juventus. Affording Saurez would not be an easy task though, however, the Italian giants seemed to have made their arrangements.

Juventus is now considering signing Saurez to replace Gonzalo Higuain, who is all set to join Inter Miami. So, soon Saurez, after playing years alongside Messi, will be pairing up with Ronaldo at Turin in the coming days.

Apple may skip 120Hz display for iPhone 12 Pro

0

Apple seems to skip one of the key specs usual during 2020 in its upcoming iPhone 12 Pro models which are started shipping in October. One noted tipster named Jon Prosser recently confirmed his fans that the iPhone 12 Pro models will not be equipped with a 120Hz refresh rate displays. Among the flagship handsets, it’s the only brand, then, to enter 2021 with 60Hz displays. Whether this will affect sales or not, well, only time has the answer.

In the market, there were rumors that Apple got 120Hz panels, but now it’s clear the driver ICs need not to deliver variable refresh rates. Having a variable refresh rate is good to preserve battery life, though. A few days back, Samsung shipped its Galaxy Note 20 Ultra with the variable rate 120Hz Super AMOLED display using ‘Variable Frequency’ technology.

Apple is very much strict to pick up components to use its products and there can be so many reasons behind that including the product pricing. Other than that, Apple may get parts it needs from other display suppliers than Samsung, like LG and BOE.

Manchester United has identified three Jadon Sancho alternatives

Jadon Sancho is linked with Manchester United from the very first day of this transfer window. The Red Devils were negotiating with Borussia Dortmund for a long time but haven’t yet to come to a full agreement.

Borussia Dortmund wants to sell the English winger but not less than €120m which is too much according to the Manchester United board. United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward believes Dortmund has been inconsistent in their attitude towards selling Sancho.

According to The Daily Star, Jadon Sancho is no longer wanted even if United found that €120M.

The Daily Star said, “Woodward knows the clock is ticking before the transfer window closes on October 5 and could now turn to Juventus’ Douglas Costa, Atletico Madrid ace Joao Felix or even pursue a deal to sign Real Madrid outcast Gareth Bale.”

Joao Felix joined Atletico Madrid last season for a €126M move from Benfica. It was surely a surprising claim by The Daily Stars. Moreover, he is much more a player of number 10 position than a winger. But his addition will surely upgrade the squad depth.

Douglas Costa was also linked with Manchester United at some stages of this transfer window. The Brazilian is a very talented player and full of skills. But his injury issues are a back-draw in his career. The 29-year-old winger has missed 4 months of the 2019/20 season and 6 months of the 2018/19 season due to various problems including calf and hamstring issues.

1 Gareth Bale Manchester United has identified three Jadon Sancho alternatives

Same goes for Wales winger Gareth Bale. He is much more injury-prone than Douglas Costa. There is also a huge salary issue with Gareth Bale. Some reports in Europe claims that his current club Real Madrid would be willing to pay half of his salary to any club willing to buy the winger.

United is going to start their Premier League campaign next week against Crystal Palace at home. This can be a very important week for them to sign some of their targets.

FIFA 21: EA decides to remove EA Sports Football Catalogue

0

When you are in the home screen of FIFA 20, you’ll find a bar at the top right corner. It shows the XP and the Football Club Credits (FCC) which you have earned during your time with FIFA.

When you click the right stick you will be redirected to the EA Sports Football Catalogue where you could redeem your FCC to buy FIFA rewards.

FIFA 20 12 09 2020 06 52 34 PM FIFA 21: EA decides to remove EA Sports Football Catalogue

The EA Sports Football Catalogue was initially created for FIFA 13. It was introduced to reward people who put time into the game. At one point of time, EA had put FUT Coin reward boosts in the rewards, but some players exploited a glitch that let them earn more coins than they were supposed to, so EA disabled that FUT coin rewards in February 2014. EA eventually pulled Ultimate Team items from the catalogue entirely for FIFA 20.

But for FIFA 21, EA has decided to drop this entire feature, EA Sports Football Catalogue.

You can still increase your EASFC level, earn Football Club Credits (FCC), and redeem items in previous FIFA versions that have this feature.

Most of the items that were traditionally redeemable from the Catalogue have been redistributed to other areas of the game in FIFA 21 in order to make them more easily accessible.

Where to find the items previously available in the Catalogue:

  • Boots and balls – available by default when released through Title Updates and activated by Server Release updates.
  • MLS All-Star Team/Adidas All-Star Team and Kits – available to everyone in Kick Off.
  • Online Seasons Win/Draw/Extra Match – available in the Online Seasons Menu, and can be redeemed once per Season with no total limit.
  • Financial Takeover – is a setup option when creating a new Career Mode save.
  • Career Mode Rematch – is part of the Manager Career Mode end of match experience as an option.
  • Scout Future Star – the item is no longer available but each Manager Career Mode save will feature a populated Youth Academy from the start.

Other previously available Catalogue items, including the Manager/Player Career Focused Training, Co-Op Seasons Win/Draw/Extra Match, and International Manager Offer are not in FIFA 21.

Pjanic and Todibo joins Barcelona squad for training

0

Miralem Pjanic recently arrived in Barcelona and was late to join the squad as he was suffering from COVID-19 and having got the green lights from the PCR tests, the player has joined the Barca squad for training for the first time.

On the other hand, the French center back Jean-Clair Todibo who was out for loan also was suffering from COVID-19 and took some time to rejoin. So, he also got the green light to continue training at the Ciutat Esportiva.

As we see both the players going through individual training today, however, after some days they will surely rejoin the others. Meanwhile, today, Barcelona under Koeman will play their first friendly against Nastic.

Both Pjanic and Todibo can help to strengthen the team defensively as Koeman is rumored to use the two defensive midfield setup. The board previously wanted to sell Todibo to Schalke, now, in this situation, this will be a thing to look out for.

Arturo Vidal set to join Inter as a free agent

0

Antonio Conte had already made up his mind to go for which players in the upcoming transfer window. It was almost certain from the start of this transfer window that Vidal will be playing for Inter Milan from the upcoming season.

The Inter manager has made Vidal his number one priority this transfer window alongside that of Kolarov. Even though Vidal is ageing, his physicality and experience make him an ideal midfielder in Conte’s set up to compete in Serie A.

Now, according to transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, Arturo Vidal will be joining Inter and surprisingly as a free agent. New Barcelona manager Ronald Koeman doesn’t have the Chilean in his plans so they want to cut off the player’s wage.

The last details will be completed soon and Vidal is set to join Inter until June 2022.

Inter finished just behind Juventus in Serie A last season and will be hoping to do one better this time.

LA LIGA 2020-21 SEASON PREVIEW: The MVPs leading the charge for their clubs this season

0

As the new La Liga season begins, there is anticipation among fans looking forward to who the top four, dark horses, relegation candidates and of course, the champions will be. In such a context, it seems necessary that we look at the most important player and the focal point from each of these clubs.

We look at the list of Most Valuable Player (MVPs) from each of the 20 La Liga clubs this season:

Sergi Guardiola – Real Valladolid

One might recall this player being released by Barcelona due to a set of offensive messages on social media, but he has been the leading light for Valladolid and would be the key to their survival.

Chimy Avila – Osasuna

The Argentinian forward scored 9 goals and 2 assists last season, but recently suffered an ACL injury. However, most hopes of Osasuna rest on his abilities to strike crucial goals and will hope he gets back soon.

Shinji Okazaki – SD Huesca

Regular viewers of the Premier League would certainly remember the Japanese striker. Now plying his trade for newly-promoted Huesca, the team would look forward to seeing Okazaki lead the line.

Fidel Chaves – Elche CF

The Spanish left-winger now takes on a central role and being a bit of a veteran, will look to keep Elche in the La Liga next season. Fidel scored 9 goals in 42 games last season in Segunda Division.

Alex Fernandez – Cadiz

Brother of Real Madrid defender Nacho Fernandez, Alex was one of the top scorers in the Spanish second division. With 13 goals in 42 games to his name, Alex will look to provide stability in central midfield and dictate the game as well.

Carlos Fernandez – Granada

On loan from Sevilla and expected to continue with the club for the second season, Carlos Fernandez scored 10 goals and will be looking to keep his form going for Granada this time as well.

Roger Marti –  Levante

The club finished mid-table last season and a large part of the success was attributed to Roger Marti’s 11 goals. He will be looking to recreate a similarly consistent season and keep them away from relegation.

Fabian Orellana – Eibar

Now entering the twilight years of his career, captain Orellana will look to lead the line for Eibar. Despite having constrained resources, the forward has been decently consistent in La Liga.

Lucas Perez – Deportivo Alaves

Lucas Perez LA LIGA 2020-21 SEASON PREVIEW: The MVPs leading the charge for their clubs this season

Former West Ham striker Lucas Perez has actually been good since arriving at Alaves and seen the club fight for top-half finishes. The target man has been clinical and will look to continue his 11 goals tally from last season around.

Carlos Soler – Valencia

Having lost Rodrigo and Parejo, it is now down to home-grown talent Carlos Soler to step up and shoulder the responsibilities of the club. They face a fight in La Liga, but Soler would be the key.

Jaime Mata – Getafe

Experienced striker Jaime Mata’s 11 goals last season, saw Getafe finish a record best 8th last season. The tricky centre forward will once look to step up with important goals and provide a good elevated finish for Getafe this season.

Raul Garcia – Athletic Club

With a good showing from the Basque club last season, most good things happened due to Raul Garcia’s presence. The attacking midfielder’s 15 goals last season, a similar performance will again prove to be important again for Athletic Club.

Iago Aspas – Celta Vigo

Iago Aspas LA LIGA 2020-21 SEASON PREVIEW: The MVPs leading the charge for their clubs this season

For a long time, the club has depended on Iago Aspas. It will not be any different this season, as the diminutive hitman will seek to improve on his 14-goals tally from last season.

Nabil Fekir – Real Betis

Brought in from Lyon and now under the new management of Manuel Pellegrini, Nabil Fekir will be a focal point for the Seville based club. He will want to put a better performance from the 7 goals and 4 assists of last season.

Mikel Oyarzabal – Real Sociedad

Oyarzabal LA LIGA 2020-21 SEASON PREVIEW: The MVPs leading the charge for their clubs this season

Despite the transfer rumours and news, Mikel Oyarzabal has grown a reputation of being a consistent performer in La Liga. With a career-best season of 10 goals and 11 assists, Oyarzabal will want to be the lead man forming partnerships with David Silva and Willian Jose.

Gerard Moreno – Villarreal

With a brilliant season last time around earning him a national team call-up, Gerard Moreno will be crucial for Villarreal’s hopes in the league. He has been scoring at a consistent rate of 10+ goals every season for some time now. With the versatility of adjusting to the flanks as well, Moreno can become a very important figure and lead them to a higher position in the table.

Lucas Ocampos – Sevilla

Ocampos LA LIGA 2020-21 SEASON PREVIEW: The MVPs leading the charge for their clubs this season

Despite suffering a serious injury last time around, Lucas Ocampos led Sevilla to a top-four finish as well as the Europa League win. There were doubts on his adaptability having moved from Marseille in Ligue 1, but a 14-goals tally on his debut season should silence doubters. The left-winger who can occasionally play through the middle and the right, Ocampos will want to be a central figure to finish fourth or even higher this season.

Joao Felix – Atletico Madrid

Joao Felix LA LIGA 2020-21 SEASON PREVIEW: The MVPs leading the charge for their clubs this season

After a 120-million euros transfer last season, Joao Felix did not set the league alight with his performances. But renewed confidence and experience this time around can see him forge a partnership alongside Alvaro Morata and produce moments of brilliance on a consistent basis. Putting behind an underwhelming campaign with just 6 goals from 27 games will be necessary, and Joao Felix has the calibre to deliver more.

Karim Benzema – Real Madrid

benzema 1 LA LIGA 2020-21 SEASON PREVIEW: The MVPs leading the charge for their clubs this season

With yet another La Liga title in the bag and only second in the Pichichi Trophy race, Karim Benzema is a player who looks to be ageing like fine wine. Showing no signs of slowing down or fatigue with 21 goals in the campaign last season, he will be key to Real Madrid’s chances of retaining the title this time around.

Lionel Messi – Barcelona

Messi 5 LA LIGA 2020-21 SEASON PREVIEW: The MVPs leading the charge for their clubs this season
