Diego Maradona passes away at 60

0

The 25th of November, 2020 will be remembered as one of the saddest days in footballing history. One of the greatest players to ever play the game, Diego Armando Maradona has passed away at the age of 60.

The cause of death is speculated to be a heart attack that he suffered only weeks after undergoing surgery for a brain clot in Buenos Aires. The former player passed away at home, after being released from the hospital almost two weeks ago.

His football career was as decorated as anybody could ask for. Maradona won almost every trophy that a player could hope to win playing for club and country.

Maradona’s 1986 World Cup winning campaign for Argentina is remembered as the single greatest spell in the legend’s playing career. His ‘Hand of God’ goal against England is still remembered as one of the best moments in the history of the sport.

The former Argentina captain was something special, with thousands of people comparing the legend to the Almighty himself. His club career was just as amazing as his spell with the Argentina national team.

He started off his professional career a few days shy of 16, with Argentinos Juniors and later moved to Boca Juniors. He only spent one season there but won the league title while at the club.

1982 would see Maradona move to Barcelona in a then-world record move worth £5 million. After spending a couple of years with the Blaugrana, he would move to Napoli, smashing the transfer record once again with a move worth £6.9 million to Naples.

His performances in Italy made Napoli retire the number 10 shirt in his honour.

He would then see a decline, battling with an addiction to cocaine and getting banned from playing the sport after a failed drug test. Maradona would eventually move to Sevilla, Newell’s and return to Boca Juniors before hanging up his boots.

While his managerial career might not have been a fair reflection of his playing days, the Argentinian did a decent job during his time in charge but had so much more to offer to the sport.

All things said and done, Maradona was, is, and forever will be one of the greatest of all time. The afterlife is very lucky to have someone as magical as Diego Maradona now.

Amazon successfully prevailed over the lawsuit for poaching eBay sellers

0

Amazon, the world’s largest e-commerce retailer, has a very successful. It is led by none other than the world’s richest man, Jeff Bezos. But success also has its fair share of downsides. Many of its competitors are looking to one-up the competition and gain the retail giant’s upper hand.

In the recent news, the company just prevailed over a lawsuit claiming it secretly poached eBay sellers. The complaint was that the Amazon employees allegedly signed up for eBay accounts under pretences and then lured eBay merchants to their platform. And eBay was convincingly holding its case to the arbitration panel that there was a breach of its user contract.

But unfortunately for eBay, it couldn’t prove that it suffered any harm from the result. The news comes confirmed from the documents filed with the Superior Court of Santa Clara and a California district court. To further add to the insult, eBay was also unsuccessful in arguing that Amazon had coordinated a poaching campaign against it.

Amazon is already facing an antitrust probe in Europe and the prospect of greater regulation in the US. The investigation involves scrutiny of whether it unfairly competes with third-party sellers on its platform. However, there is no mentioning of unfairly recruiting them from other sites. However, Amazon has declined to comment on the case, and eBay has also further restrained itself from commenting.

Red Dead Online to get standalone setup starting from December 1st

0

Red Dead Redemption II by Rockstar games is, without a doubt, one of the most famous and well-received games in the entire world. Though we have heard many background stories about the games development team, it remains the fact that it is a masterpiece without any doubt. The recent news is that the Red Dead Redemption II will soon get the multiplayer mode starting from this month.

The mode is called the Red Dead Online and will be available to purchase separately on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC starting on December 1st. The good news is that it’ll be playable on the next-gen PS5 and Xbox Series X but via backward compatibility.

According to sources, the game is relatively cheap. Rockstar Games is selling Red Dead Online at an “introductory” price of $4.99. but starting on February 15th, 2021, that price tag will shoot up to $19.99. it is also reported that the game will occupy more hard disk space than it usually does, and you may need to clear out some hard drive space to fit the game.

Its total size after installation is clocked to be at 123GB of space. The game will also give users the option to purchase the primary story campaign. Well, in all its goodness, Rockstar Games also followed a similar strategy with the massively popular Grand Theft Auto V. GTA Online has been an enormous success, and a standalone version is coming next year.

It would be interesting to see the Red Dead Redemption get the multiplayer feature. The game is a treat in itself and getting a complete overhaul with some new features and availability on next-gen consoles. It sure will become a massive hit.

Microsoft heading to release the Surface Duo in Europe during Q2 of 2021

0

The surface Duo has already been launched by Microsoft back in September this year. But a recent report has come out that Microsoft is looking to re-release this device probably in the second quarter of the upcoming year. Moreover, the company has also stated that it will distribute the Surface Duo in Canada, Japan, and the UK as well.

So, after this re-release news from Microsoft, it is almost confirmed that the company is not looking for a launch of the successor of the Surface Duo, for say a Surface Duo 2. But one thing has to be looked out by the users. The Surface Duo is powered by an outdated chipset, Qualcomm Snapdragon 855. The company has not shared anything whether they will use the same chipset or something else. If it will still be powered by the SD 855 chipset, the pricing of the device will also be in the checklist.

Surface Duo 2021 Microsoft heading to release the Surface Duo in Europe during Q2 of 2021

The Microsoft Surface Duo features an 8.1″ AMOLED folding display with (1800×2700) pixels of screen resolution for 401 PPI density. Both sides of the phone are protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The folded position display features a 5.6″ AMOLED display with (1350×1800) pixels of screen resolution and a 4:3 screen ratio.

Regarding the pricing, there is also a bit of confusion. In the US, the buyer can currently get the device at a price tag of US$1,199.99. But, regarding the re-release, Microsoft has not confirmed anything in terms of the price range of the Surface Duo outside the US. But we can expect that the price will be going slightly lower than before.
