Alphonso Davies, the fastest footballer player is now the best left-back in making

0

Bayern Munich was expected to defeat Barcelona but no one would have predicted such an astonishing scoreline. The Bundesliga champions inflicted a humiliating Champions League defeat on Barcelona. The scoreline of 8-2 is enough to show how Bayern showed their dominance in Europe.

The current Bayern team features world-class players in every position. From Neuer, under the bars to Lewandowski, inside the opponents’ penalty box, Bayern has built a team which can challenge any European team on any given day.

The youngest Bayern player on the pitch last night was Alphonso Davies. The 19-year-old is probably the find of the season for the German side. The left-back was handed a difficult job of keeping Lionel Messi at bay and many thought that he would fail to cope with one of the best players.

Surprisingly, the Canadian international has not only kept Messi at bay but he has also made Semedo look like a boy who has no idea how to defend.

Just look at this blistering run by Davies! He is the fastest player right now in world football with a top speed of 22.69 mph. Now he is on the verge of becoming one of the best left-backs. He made a stunning run on the left flank and got past Semedo with ease and provided a perfect ball for Kimich to tap in.

Davies has shown in the match, why he is so highly regarded at Bayern Munich. He is one of the best emerging talents. Keep an eye on this boy as he would surely make it big one day.

It was expected to be a close tie. Lewandowski’s Bayern Munich were favourites but Messi was believed to carry Barcelona over the line.

Epic Games filed a lawsuit against Apple and Google

A few days earlier Epic Games released an update of its most popular mobile game Fortnite and it was for both the Android and iOS platforms. This update allows users to perform direct in-app purchases and it goes against the app stores’ policy. In the case you don’t know or didn’t notice earlier, all the in-app purchases have done via either Google or Apple, depends on which platform the user belongs to. Both Apple and Google take a 30% share of that. As Fortnite violates the policy, both the app stores remove the game from their lists.

Epic Games filed a lawsuit against Apple and Google - 1_TechnoSports.co.in

This step was firstly taken by Apple, Google followed the same. After that, the Android users can only download the game through other app stores like Samsung Galaxy Store, Epic Games app. But there’s no option for the iOS users. Both the companies, Apple and Google, were agreed to do discuss with Epic Games over this matter and obviously to welcome Fortnite again.

But in response, Epic Games filed a lawsuit against both of them and called their action as anti-competitive. The lawsuit against the search engine giant said, “Epic does not seek monetary compensation from this Court for the injuries it has suffered. Epic likewise does not seek a side deal or favorable treatment from Google for itself. Instead, Epic seeks injunctive relief that would deliver Google’s broken promise: an open, competitive Android ecosystem for all users and industry participants. Such injunctive relief is sorely needed.”

Besides this, Epic Games also posted a video on YouTube to protest and make fun of Apple’s iconic “1984” ad within Fortnite app. The company also asks its fans to support the fight against Apple by putting #FreeFortnite.

Bartomeu admits to making some drastic decisions at the club

0

Josep Maria Bartomeu: There are decisions that we already had in mind that we will execute

After a humiliating defeat in Lisbon against Bayern Munich, the club’s president Josep Maria Bartomeu has spoken to the fans and he said that new decisions have to be taken. Last night, the mighty German club thrashed Barcelona out of the Champions League race with a humongous 8-2 margin, portraying their dominance this season, while showing the fact how Barcelona’s this team is incompetent to touch the Champions League trophy.

So, Bartomeu has agreed with the first team player Gerard Piqué, who has also spoken publicly and also admitted the fact that major changes have to be done internally to save the club and he is ready to sacrifice himself for the betterment of the club.

Bartomeu said:

“Piqué’s right and now it’s our turn to make decisions. Some of us had them taken before the Champions League and some of us will take them these days. From now on we will announce them.

“I’m not going to say now what decisions they are. Today is a day to reflect, a day of great sorrow and from tomorrow we will have to try to lift the spirits of all the culés of the world, who are now sad after this very hard defeat.”

Obviously, after such brutal defeat, the club president had had to step up to say something or else a wide number of raging fans across the globe will take the stage to open up. Defeating by 8-2 has been the worst ever match in the club history and also, yesterday’s starting XI was the oldest one with 30 years old average that was naturally incompetent to face the might Bayern who has been able to strike a right balance between the youth and experience.

Gerard Piqué opens up after a devastating loss to Bayern Munich

Bartomeu statements were similar to Piqué’s and he further said:

“Itis a time to reflect and go with this sorrow with which we all leave after this very hard total. What’s up to now is to apologize to Barca fans and partners.

“It’s been a tough night and I’m sorry for the fans and the players. We have not been the team or club we are and the one we represent.”

“It’s a bulging result. I congratulate Bayern, who deserved to pass. We didn’t deserve it,” he spoke to The Movistar+.

A lot of changes and important decisions in the coming days in the Barca camp are incoming and after this massive defeat, the Barcelona board’s position also remains in jeopardy. However, complex and radical decisions are taken in the coming days, we all hope Barcelona recovers its lost glory to give respect to Leo Messi’s incredible career at the club for over a decade now.

Barcelona paid €160m for Coutinho to knock them out of the Champions League

0

Barcelona bought Philippe Coutinho from Liverpool in January 2018 for €142m. Coutinho was one of the best Premier League players during his time with Liverpool. He scored 54 goals and provided 45 assists in his 201 appearances for the Anfield club.

Now, Coutinho is on a season-long loan at Bayern Munich. He came on in the 75th minute of the Champions League quarter-final tie. The score was 5-2 when he came on the pitch. He gave an assist to Lewandowski and scored another two goals himself in the 85th and 89th minute.

He completed the humiliation of Barcelona as Bayern Munich won by 8-2 but he didn’t celebrate any of his goals against his parent club as a sign of respect, though the Barcelona board hasn’t treated him right.

This thing clearly indicates the inability of this Barcelona board in the transfer market. After Neymar left Barcelona and joined PSG for a record transfer fee of €222m, Barcelona has failed miserably to replace the Brazilian.

Barcelona has spent millions on the likes of Coutinho, Dembele and Griezmann among others but has failed to build a team capable of challenging top European clubs.

The board clearly lacks the vision in the transfer market. They seem to go after famous players rather than who fits with their team and philosophy.

A recent example of Barcelona’s terrible transfer policy is that they swapped 23-year-old midfielder Arthur for 30-year-old Pjanic with Juventus. The average age of the main Barcelona players is also above 30 which is a matter of concern. They don’t have a good mix of youth and experience.

Barcelona paid €160m for Coutinho and when you pay such a huge amount for a player, you don’t send him on loan and if you do it clearly suggests you have failed in the transfer market.

Philippe Coutinho will return to Barcelona, probably after winning the Champions League as Bayern’s recent form suggests. But the board doesn’t see him having a future at the club and Coutinho himself wants a return to the Premier League.

Mikel Arteta is keen on strengthening his side and has zeroed down Coutinho as him next transfer target. Arsenal would now surely push for Coutinho’s signature after such a brilliant 17 minutes display in the Champions League.

Quique Setién admits the game against Bayern to be a very tough defeat & his future is at stake

0

Indeed, yesterday’s massive defeat will not be forgotten by anyone as Barcelona was thrashed by Bayern with 8-2 score. Obviously, every Barca fan out there might be either angry or sobbing for a relentless defeat that has ended Barcelona’s UCL run. Bayern were obviously the favourites before the match and provided their form a defeat was expected for the Blaugranas but conceding 8 goals has made the loss shameful.

The once unbeatable Barcelona has been dominated, manipulated, thrashed out of the competition by a professional Bayern, which has become unstoppable this year. Bayern Munich plans to make this year’s campaign special as they have a chance to win the treble and provided their form along with a good & aggressive coaching staff nothing seems impossible for the Bundesliga giants.

Quique Setién admits the game against Bayern to be a very tough defeat & his future is at stake

Quique Setién did speak up after the humiliating game, who made ridiculous substitutions underestimated the Bayern side as well, obviously, it’s not only about the coach but also players, the board, everything needs a change. In his short speech Setién did admit his future is at stake even though he did not bid a farewell directly:

“I’m not going to get into that, because I’ve only been here six or eight months, but when a player like Piqué, who’s been in Barcelona all his life, makes a reflection of these, surely something will have for sure. Defeat hurts a lot, it is necessary that Barca regain its identity and surely we will have to change things. Now there is a huge frustration and all that remains is to draw conclusions and make the decisions that need to be made with the future in mind. Barca is such a big club that this does a lot of damage and I’m sure something will have to change.”

Gerard Piqué opens up after a devastating loss to Bayern Munich

As per the ridiculous Barca board, they will first look someone to blame and the first change will be on the bench as Sport reckons Setién seems to have assumed it already: “Now everything is too hot to think about whether I’m going to continue or not. It’s not up to me. We must have a proper reflection, taking into account the situation and the importance that this humiliating and painful defeat entails for Barcelona. I have hurt this defeat so bulging in the way that has occurred. Not only do I worry about my future, because I already know the profession I’ve chosen, but how painful it is for the hobby and for the club.”

The Cantabrian ended with a note: “it is a tremendously painful defeat. We had started well, but we’ve been overwhelmed by its effectiveness. Bayern’s bluntness has outweighed us.”

The Barcelona club needs reforms totally, but will sacking the coach bring an end to this shameful defeat, and will this change the fact they the oldest squad with an average age of 30 has conceded 8 goals? There are a lot of frustrations among fans and everyone demands back the glory at the club, which time will only tell what actually happens in the coming days.

Barcelona set to sack Quique Setien after humiliating Champions League display

0

Barcelona faced Bayern Munich in the Champions League quarter-finals. Bayern were the favourites but you can’t write off a team which has Messi in its rank at any moment.

But sadly, Barcelona has hit the bottom and not even Messi could save them from the humiliation. Bayern kept on scoring goals for fun. The scoreline 8-2 tells exactly how bad Barcelona has become in recent times.

Barcelona appointed Quique Setien in the middle of this season, but he has failed to take charge at Camp Nou. It seems he can’t handle the star-studded dressing room. He also doesn’t seem to have any plan B if something doesn’t quite work.

As Barcelona was taken to the cleaners by Bayern, Setien stood helplessly in the dugout. Dembele was being prepared for this Champions League tie but Setien didn’t give him a single minute. He seems to have lost control or never have gained control over this job.

Journalist Fabrizio Romano has now tweeted: “Barcelona have already decided to sack Quique Setién after the terrible defeat against Bayern Münich. He’ll not be the manager on next season.”

Quique Setien’s time at the Camp Nou is up. He is set to be sacked and the official announcement would come in the coming days.

Former Barcelona player Xavi is touted as the rightful heir to the throne. He will be given the first opportunity for this job but if he declines to join the Blaugranas then former Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino is likely to be appointed as the next manager.

RAC1 claims Pochettino is top of the list to takeover after having dinner with club president Josep Bartomeu earlier this week.

Pochettino is a former Espanyol player and manager so that rivalry kept him from taking up this job earlier but it seems if he is offered the job now, he won’t refuse anymore.

Gerard Piqué opens up after a devastating loss to Bayern Munich

0

The club’s senior defender has spoken up after a heartbreaking 8-2 defeat to the German champions, not only players but also the worldwide fans are hurt too. There is a lot going in the club and this defeat has fueled the current internal situation at Barcelona, the team looked devasted, pitiful, and wiped out of the face of the European championship in a brutal way.

Obviously, they had the best player with them but with such a strong Bayern side, Barcelona was brutally attacked, and conceding 8 goals is the worst one in the club’s history ever. Gerard Piqué did say the game to be a horrible one and even told we they have to look internally to this matter.

He admitted ‘it was a horrible game, the feeling is terrible…embarrassing is the world. I think now we have hit rock bottom.” He said a heartfelt message for his fans and what it is to be done now:

Gerard Piqué opens up after a devastating loss to Bayern Munich

“We can’t compete like that, you can’t play like that in Europe. It is not the first time, the second time or the third time, it’s very tough. I hope it is useful for something. Now everyone has to have a good look at themselves, the Club needs change and I am not talking about the coach or the players, I am not pointing the finger at anyone. Nobody is safe, I am the first to say that I will go if new blood has to come in, I am the first to leave. We have to have real look internally about what is best for the Club.”

Its good to see someone stepping up after such a big defeat, conceding more than scoring has really hurt fans across the globe. The club needs change totally, its not about sacking coaches but also the root cause of this defeat is the callous Barcelona board who have let the squad become the oldest one in the history of the club. Serious changes coming in the days to come!
