AMD’s green lits the development of custom RX 6900 XT cards

0

The upcoming Radeon RX 6900 XT is supposed to be the fastest card among the Radeon RX 6000 line-up. The menu will feature the Big Navi GPU. A Russian outlet called Overclockers is recently claiming that AMD has given greenlit to its board partners to manufacture custom Radeon RX 6900 XT graphics cards.

We already know that AMD was in talks with its AIB partners to develop custom RX 6900 XT models. And the news comes just a month after the initial discussion. The Radeon RX 6900 XT launch is close by, and according to sources, the card’s custom models will not be available at the launch. It is being reported that the custom variants will most likely appear in Q1 of 2021.

According to sources, Radeon RX 6900 XT’s custom variants will have the same TDP but will come with a higher max clock limit of 3.0 GHz. However, the news isn’t confirmed as to whether the AIB’s will allow for a higher clock speed as it will most certainly breach the clock barrier of the flagship card.

The Radeon RX 6900 XT will come with Navi 21 XTX GPU, which features 80 Compute Units or 5120 SPs. It also features 16 GB of GDDR6 memory across a 256-bit bus interface and a 512 GB/s total bandwidth and the card is clocked at speeds of 2015 MHz of base and 2250 MHz of boost clocks. The manufacturer also provides 80 Ray accelerators for ray-tracing enablement on the graphics cards; finally, the menu will feature a TBP of 300W.

AMD’s Radeon RX 6900 XT will be available from December 8th and carry a price tag of $999. The card is said to go against Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 3090.

Speaking about this launch, Óscar Mayo, LaLiga’s Head of Business, Marketing and International Development, said: “This is an exciting venture between two organisations with an extensive global reach and the desire to build communities of football fans through engaging content and new experiences. Our goal has always been to get closer to fans across the Middle East and Africa to show everything that Spanish football has to offer. We’re excited to continue building these connections by working with Mondia and Orange group.”

Mondia has reached 1.4 billion global users and counting, having worked with brands such as Disney, Nintendo, Sony, Universal and various telecommunications companies. In this case, Mondia will organise integrations between LaLiga and Orange and will develop, manage and maintain the platform. Mondia’s digital payment entity, Mondia Pay, as the official digital payment partner, will direct payments through direct carrier billing and other cashless payment options.

“Our partnership with LaLiga is an endorsement of our expertise in creating digital experiences for all. Our ability to create an end-to-end solution including digital payments, is the real value Mondia brings together with our experience in operating in many markets across the globe”, said Paolo Rizzardini, Chief Commercial Officer at the Mondia group. “LaLiga is a premium content partner with a commitment to delivering exceptional experiences to their audiences, and we are thrilled to help make the initiative a reality”, he added.

Leaning on its two decades of experience, Mondia is adapting marketing strategies and promotions based on each market to tap into local nuances and cultures. The Orange group will also assist in this sense by contributing to campaigns, both online and offline.

While this new platform will initially be enjoyed by Orange group customers, there are plans to expand to more telecommunications companies around the world in the future. In addition, LaLiga and Mondia will study the data to refine the platform and to provide a continually improving user experience over time.

So, let’s hope we can move up the table.”- Ole said about Manchester United’s chance of winning titles this season.

Barcelona announce dates and details for upcoming Presidential elections

0

Barcelona’s current managing commission met in an ordinary session today and finalized the details regarding the upcoming Presidential elections, the club posted on their official website.

After weeks on negotiations, the club have managed to agree on the date of the 24th of January to decide the next President of the Catalonian club.

Quoting the official website in context of the election schedule, here is what the club decided on:

The week of 14 December is marked as the beginning of the election calendar, of which more details will be released when necessary. In advance news, on Monday 14 December a meeting of the Managing Commission is planned to approve the calling of elections; Wednesday 16, the official publication of the calling of elections. As such, between 23 December and 11 January, there would be a period for the collection of supporting signatures; between 15 and 22 January, the election campaign

The votes will be polled outside Camp Nou in Barcelona, alongside Tarragona, Tortosa, Lleida, Girona and Andorra. For the people who are eligible to vote but live in other parts of Spain, Madrid, Sevilla, Valencia and Palma de Mallorca are the locations where polling will be conducted.

Barcelona confirmed, in the statement, that the health and safety protocols owing to the current pandemic situation will be followed in case of the polling outside of the province of Catalonia.

Former President Josep Maria Bartomeu resigned at the end of October after widespread protests calling for the former President to vacate his post on the back of the 8-2 humiliation to Bayern Munich in the Champions League, who eventually went on to win the tournament.

Financial mismanagement and corruption were the other charges that the Barcelona fans weighed in on the former President to challenge his place in power.

Joan Laporta, former President of Barcelona during the first decade of the 21st century, has recently declared his candidature in the upcoming elections and will be one of the favourites to win the vote of the masses considering his brilliant track record in his first term.

Predicting the final XI of UEFA Team of the Year 2020

0

The UEFA Team of the Year nominations were revealed yesterday, and the list includes the best players in the world in their positions. With the complete list out in the open, we decided to have a crack at the final XI, with seven players making the bench.

The formation we have selected would ideally be an attack-minded 4-3-3. Here are the entries in our predicted XI:

Goalkeeper: Manuel Neuer

The Germany number 1 had a brilliant 2020, which saw him start the remainder of the 19/20 season and end it with no losses in any competition. Captaining the team to a treble, Neuer takes his rightful place between the sticks for this year’s XI.

Right-Back: Trent Alexander-Arnold

alexander arnold Predicting the final XI of UEFA Team of the Year 2020

The young English right-back is the best in the world in his position right now, and a title-winning campaign with Liverpool, bolstered with the highest number of assists for a defender makes Trent an undisputed entry.

Centre-Back: Virgil Van Dijk

Virgil Van Dijk Predicting the final XI of UEFA Team of the Year 2020

The Dutch defender was vital in Jurgen Klopp’s title-winning 19/20 season and is still heralded as the best centre-back in the world. It is only fitting that the Liverpool talisman takes a spot in the starting lineup for the Team of the Year.

Centre-Back: Sergio Ramos

Sergio Ramos Predicting the final XI of UEFA Team of the Year 2020

The fact that even at 34, Sergio Ramos is the most indispensable player in Real Madrid’s squad says a lot about his calibre not only as a defender but also a leader. Ramos’ Madrid conceded the least number of goals in La Liga last season, and the fact that he has 100 goals for Madrid seals the Spain captain’s position in another TOTY.

Left-Back: Andrew Robertson

robertson

The Scotland Captain had an incredible season on the left flank of the defense as he managed to provide 12 assists in the Premier League last season as Liverpool won the title. He also led Scotland to the EUROs for the first time ever and fully deserves his spot in left-back ahead of all the competitors.

Central Midfield: Kevin de Bruyne

skysports kevin de bruyne kdb 5090583 Predicting the final XI of UEFA Team of the Year 2020

The Belgian was the PFA Player of the Year for the 19/20 season following an incredible performance throughout the campaign gone by. The numbers speak for themselves for De Bruyne as the Belgian dominated things from the heart of midfield.

Central Midfield: Jordan Henderson

henderson

The Liverpool captain was indispensable and was voted the Player of the Year by the Football Writer’s Association. His importance in holding midfield was vital for Liverpool, ironically, most felt his absence during the Champions League exit against Atletico.

Attacking Midfield: Thomas Muller

muller1 Predicting the final XI of UEFA Team of the Year 2020

The German enjoyed a reviving spell under Hansi Flick in his treble-winning debut campaign, managing Bayern Munich. Muller managed to score 14 goals and assist 26 from 50 matches across all competitions, making him the ideal choice for the attacking midfielder role in the XI.

Forward: Lionel Messi

Lionel Messi Predicting the final XI of UEFA Team of the Year 2020

31 goals and 22 assists from 44 games across all competitions, La Pulga had another marvellous season in the 19/20 campaign but has since struggled to follow it up this season. However, it is worth noting that his role has changed under Koeman, but he is still one of the best.

Forward: Ciro Immobile

Immobile 1 1 Predicting the final XI of UEFA Team of the Year 2020

The Italian managed to score his way to the European Golden Boot in the 19/20 campaign, whilst also leading Lazio to a return to the Champions League for the first time in a decade. Immobile also spearheaded a charge for the Scudetto for the Biancocelesti, but ultimately fell short.

Forward: Robert Lewandowski

lewandowski

The top scorer in every competition that he has played, LewanGOALski had a surefire Ballon d’Or calibre season, but the award was cancelled to rob the goal machine of the award. With 55 goals and 10 assists from 47 games, Lewandowski caps off our XI players of the Team of the Year.

Bench:

  • Thibaut Courtois
  • Cristiano Ronaldo
  • Erling Haaland
  • Dayot Upamecano
  • Thiago Alcantara
  • Sadio Mane
  • Joshua Kimmich

Joe Cole backs Chelsea for Premier League and Champions League Victories

0

Former Chelsea midfielder Joe Cole has insisted that former teammate Frank Lampard can guide the West Londoners to the Premier League title, as well as the Champions League title this season.

‘I think they [Chelsea] are genuine contenders,’ Cole said.

‘I think all the English sides, you can’t discount any of them from going all the way in the Champions League because of the quality and the strength of our league.’

‘I don’t feel there is any weaknesses in the Chelsea side at the moment. I feel there aren’t any glaring weaknesses, there are areas to improve on. But if you look at the last two months, certainly since Chilwell, Mendy, and Silva have got into the back four, the clean sheets have started to happen.’

‘We look safe and secure from set pieces. So those things have improved dramatically from last season. I think there’s still areas where Chelsea can improve and they will improve.’

‘But certainly, I put them down as contenders to win the Champions League and the [Premier] League this year. But as well the other teams, your Man City’s, Liverpool, even United have a rich tradition in is competition. I think English clubs will fare well this year.’

‘Bayern Munich I think are rightly so the favourites being the champions, but I would put the money on English sides going deep into the competition and at least one of them getting to the final. I think it’s a good year for us.’

Cole also mentioned that the spending of over 200 million pounds in the summer has tightened up all the aspects of Chelsea’s game that were previously lacking. The addition of the defensive player’s, as the Englishman mentioned, has made Chelsea’s defense look like a team reborn.

The attacking side of things looks very promising as well, with the likes of Havertz, Pulisic, Werner, Abraham, and Ziyech right there in the limelight to dominate games once they find their footing for good in England.

Chelsea sit at the top of their Champions League table, and face Sevilla away from home tonight. They are currently third in the Premier League, after their goalless draw against London rivals Spurs, and have made a very positive turnaround since the arrival of Edouard Mendy.

Never forget a thing with the Samsung Smart Tag object tracker

0

Smart object trackers are the new technology which is luring a lot of people. According to some reports, Samsung, one of the world’s largest producers of electronic devices, has filed for a trademark with the EUIPO (European Union Intellectual Property Office). Reports stated that the trademark was filed on 30th November 2020. This has come just after the certification of a Galaxy Smart Tag device (model number EI-T5300) from Indonesian Telecom. The Samsung Smart Tag trademark filing includes computer hardware for providing NFC tag identification data; electronic security tags; a wireless tracking device and more. This would not be Samsung’s first object tracker. Their first one was SmartThings LTE-enabled tracker which was launched two years before.

According to rumors, early this year, Apple was in line to launch its ‘AirTags’. Now it looks like Samsung wants to directly compete with the US giant and launch a similar gadget first. This is surely going to put some pressure on Apple to speed up their process. The Smart Tag device we are talking about here will be used to track other objects. This will be done with the aid of NFC (Near-Field-Communication) and RFID (radio-frequency identification). Another feature of this Smart Tag is that it will allow people to log in to various Samsung services. Also, they will be able to unlock their Samsung devices without any issue.

One point to put special focus on is that filing for a trademark does not necessarily mean that the final product will be very close to a launch. A company can file for a trademark even if that product is a part of the company’s long-term plan. Yet, the market believes that Samsung will unveil the SmartTag gadget at the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event. This event is planned to take place within the starting two months of next year.
