Hope you are aware of the TikTok controversy in the US which starts at the beginning of August when President Donald Trump issued an executive order to prevent all the transactions with the application along with WeChat considering national security threat. In reply, TikTok sued the government for the first time in federal court in California aiming to block the order.
TikTok, on this Friday night, again challenged the Trump administration in the court for the second time. As per the filing, Trump exceeded his authority and doing this political reasons, not to prevent “unusual and extraordinary threat”. Apart from that, the ban also violates its First Amendment free-speech rights.
The complaint described further, President’s action will “destroy an online community where millions of Americans have come together to express themselves,” TikTok alleged that the US Government ignored all the evidence that holds the company’s commitment to privacy and security for its users.
As per TikTok’s word Trump is proceeding with his campaign against China betting that it will help him to win the November’s election, though millions of TikTok users will be upset due to this.
On this Friday, the Secretary of State Michael Pompeo also requested US companies kick off the short video making app along with the messaging app WeChat from their app stores on 20th September as a part of their “Clean Network” guideline. This guideline is designed to prevent China to get personal data from US citizens.

Antetokounmpo is Third Player to win MVP and Defensive Player of the Year in Same Season
Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo has been named the 2019-20 Kia NBA Most Valuable Player, the NBA announced today.
This is the second straight Kia NBA Most Valuable Player Award for Antetokounmpo, who becomes the 12th player to earn the honour in consecutive seasons. A native of Greece, Antetokounmpo is the first player from Europe to be selected as the NBA MVP more than once. Antetokounmpo, 25, also joins Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and LeBron James as the only players to win multiple NBA MVP awards by the age of 25.
Antetokounmpo was previously named the 2019-20 Kia NBA Defensive Player of the Year. He joins Michael Jordan (1987-88) and Hakeem Olajuwon (1993-94) as the only players to be selected as the Kia NBA Most Valuable Player and the Kia NBA Defensive Player of the Year in the same season. (The NBA Defensive Player of the Year Award was first presented in the 1982-83 season.)
Antetokounmpo received 85 of 101 first-place votes and earned 962 total points from a global panel of 100 sportswriters and broadcasters as well as the Kia NBA Most Valuable Player Award fan vote. Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James received the other 16 first-place votes and finished in second place with 753 points. Houston Rockets guard James Harden (367 points) finished in third place, followed by Dallas Mavericks guard Luka Dončić (200 points) in fourth place and LA Clippers forward Kawhi Leonard (168 points) in fifth place.

Antetokounmpo receives the Maurice Podoloff Trophy as the winner of the 2019-20 Kia NBA MVP Award. Podoloff served as the NBA’s first commissioner from 1946 until his retirement in 1963.
For the 11th consecutive season, the NBA and Kia Motors America (KMA) gave fans the opportunity to vote for the Kia NBA Most Valuable Player Award by voting online or by Twitter. The fan vote counted as one vote toward determining the winner.

After spending an extremely quiet transfer window until the signing of Thiago was announced, Liverpool have sprung to life in the transfer window.

Predicting Jota’s Role at Liverpool
Jota has been one of Wolves’ key players, providing 16 goals and 6 assists across all competitions last season. His versatility across the front three makes him a prime candidate for minutes during rotation.
It is difficult to see Jota starting ahead of Salah or Mane. However, he could prove to be a worthy rotation option. Quality in squad depth has been an issue for Jurgen Klopp’s team.

However, much like other professional MSI laptops, the build quality is great and its durable as well because it meets the MIL-STD-810G military standards.
Under the hood, you have a 6-core AMD Ryzen 5 4500U processor which is very powerful for day-to-day work and even professional tasks as well. It is coupled with an 8 GB DDR4 3200MHz RAM and 512GB NVMe M.2 SSD which are both upgradeable. The Vega 6 iGPU should be enough for low-to-mid range gaming and work as well.
In terms of performance you should be satisfied with what it offers at the price point. The laptop is very thin and light while retaining the great keyboard that it offers on its creator series of laptops. The ergonomic design keyboard has 1.5mm key travel which is rare at this budget and its also backlit as well.
It features 2x Type-A USB2.0, 1x Micro SD Card Reader, 1x (4K @ 30Hz) HDMI, 1x Type-C USB3.2 Gen1 ports and a 3.5mm audio/headphone combo jack. The MSI Modern 14 comes pre-loaded with Windows 10 Home with lifetime validity.
For the battery, you have a 3-cell 52 watt-hours Li-ion battery that MSI promises up to 10 hours of battery life and in real life, it should easily give about 6-7 hours. Overall at ₹ 54,990, this is a nice package for students, office work and normal day-to-day usage.
However, with not so color-accurate display you cannot target content creators with this laptop which is one caveat. Also, there’s no Wi-Fi 6, so beware of that, and there’s no fast charge support as such. But, in terms of price, this could be a handy option for most budget Ryzen 4000U laptop seekers out there.
