PS5 price leak reveals the console to be more affordable than Microsoft’s Xbox X

0

Last week Microsoft surprised fans with an unexpected Xbox announcement. The company confirmed the Series S leaks were real and revealed that the cheaper console will cost $299.

It’s unclear whether Sony will reveal PS5 launch details, but Sony has to release PS5 availability information sooner than later. But recently there has been a major leak which might give us accurate pricing details about the next-gen PS5.

The PS5 and PS5 Digital Edition will cost $499 and $399, respectively. It was reported that the Xbox Series X forced Sony to cut the PS5 prices. The $500 price tag has been widely accepted by the fans of the console. The price just sits right with the fans as the next-gen console will come with massive hardware upgrades over its predecessor’s.

But again, we are only looking at un-confirmed rumours.

whats the scoop?

A user on a Spanish forum (via ResetEra) posted the following screenshot that comes from a Spanish retail chain. The list contains a bunch of consoles, including several Nintendo Switch models, as well as two mysterious models. One is a €499.90 “Aurea” device, and the other is a €399.90 “Enigma.”

Recently, an IGN poll was making rounds asking the twitter residents the question, “Now that we have more info on some next-gen console prices, which do you think you’re most likely to buy first?”.

The poll, now closed, placed PS5 with 55.3% of favorable votes. While the Xbox Series X attracted 23.5% votes. This placed the latest PS5 as the undisputed people’s favorite console.

If the rumors are indeed true than sony’s pricing structure will give the company a competitive advantage in the current market. Especially when the global market is affected by economic uncertainties due to the novel coronavirus pandemic.

Matching the price of PS5 Digital Edition with Xbox Series S will not give sony any advantage over Microsoft. However, if the PS5 is released at the rumored price then sony will surely have an advantage over Microsoft in the next-gen console battle.

Fitbit ECG App gets the clearance to identify Atrial Fibrillation (AFib)

0

Fitbit ECG application now moved a step forward to identify Atrial Fibrillation (AFib) as it receives the clearance from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as well as Conformité Européenne (CE) for its ECG app to assess heart rhythm. In case if lost within Atrial Fibrillation (AFib), heart rhythm, and ECG application, let me explain one by one.

Atrial Fibrillation or AFibv is an irregular heart rhythm that increases the risk of serious complications like stroke. Though there are some exceptions, studies suggest that around 25% of the AFib-related stroke cases find out they have AFib only after a stroke has occurred.

Now, Fitbit’s ECG application that is introduced in the recent product launch is well capable of monitoring the tiny blood volume fluctuations in the wrist as the heartbeats (PPG) and measuring the electrical activity of the user’s heart (ECG). Among these two, PPG reading has the ability to identify asymptomatic AFib.

Fitbit ECG App gets the clearance to Identify Atrial Fibrillation (AFib)__TechnoSports.co.in

Fitbit Sense is the first device from the company end compatible with the Fitbit ECG application. Through this users can check the reading of their heart on the spot to analyze AFib. To do so, users need to hold their fingers to the stainless steel ring on the watch for 30 seconds long. After that, the device will generate the output which the user can easily share with a doctor or some experts.

Let you know, as a part of the submission process to regulatory agencies, Fitbit conducted a multi-suit clinical trial across the US. Surprisingly, the result exceeded the target performance revealing the Fitbit algorithm can detect 98.7% of AFib cases and was 100% accurate in identifying study participants with normal sinus rhythm (specificity).

In the end, the Fitbit ECG application will be available from October and onwards to the users on Fitbit Sense in the following countries – India, countries: the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, Austria, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Sweden, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Poland, Belgium, Portugal, Romania, Ireland, Italy, Spain, France, and Hong Kong. If you are wondering about the availability of Fitbit Sense in India, well, it will come here in the fourth quarter of this year at Rs.34,999. Carbon/graphite stainless steel and white/soft gold stainless steel options will be there.

Samsung to manufacture Snapdragon 875 SoC for Qualcomm

It seems like Samsung Semiconductor has snatched away the deal to manufacture Qualcomm’s upcoming application processor(AP) from TSMC. According to several reports emerging from South Korea, Samsung Semiconductor managed to offer a better deal for the manufacturing of the upcoming Snapdragon 875, in a 5nm process than TSMC which won them the contract for the entire batch of the Snapdragon 875.

The upcoming Snapdragon application processor (AP) is expected to follow the name convention and be known as Snapdragon 875 and is expected to be introduced later this year in December where you can also expect the announcements from smartphone manufacturer announcing their 2021’s flagship with this Snapdragon SoC.

A report from Hankyung, suggests that the deal is worth around KRW 1 trillion which translates to $844 million and according to the report it is the very first time that Samsung Semiconductor has been contracted to manufacture the whole batch for the flagship Snapdragon chipset which means Samsung will be manufacturing Snapdragon 875 for demand equivalent to a whole year.

TSMC unveils its new 6nm chip manufacturing process

According to a few industry insiders, Samsung won this contract due to the low prices it provided to Qualcomm while matching the quality standards equivalent to TSMC. Samsung is said to produce the same quality of chipsets but for lower costs mainly due to the large quantity of production since it will be also manufacturing their own Exynos chipsets.

Qualcomm’s next-generation chipset is supposed to be used by Samsung themselves for the upcoming S21 lineup and other smartphone brands such as Xiaomi and Oppo have also shown interest in using the upcoming flagship SoC for their flagship smartphones which can debut as early as the first quarter of 2021.

The Snapdragon 875 is expected to go in the mass production at Samsung’s 5nm EUV foundry line in Hwaseong in South Korea.

Rumors have been also suggesting that Samsung Semiconductor will be manufacturing Snapdragon 875G, Snapdragon 735G and Snapdragon 400 series 5G enabled chipsets for Qualcomm.

The South Korean giant has recently received orders to manufacture chips for the American giants like IBM Intel, and Nvidia on the contractual basis which gives it quite a business and narrows the gap between the champion of the industry TSMC. Samsung has said that it will be the biggest semiconductor manufacturer by 2030 and current happenings are pointing positively in that direction.

(PC- Tennishead)

The final!

Thiem entered the US Open 2020 final as a heavy favourite, however, he was struggling earlier on in the game. Zverev outclassed Thiem in the first two sets and shocked the tennis community by winning 6-2 and 6-4.

It was reported that Thiem also suffered an injury that led to his lacklustre performance in the opening sets. However, he made a huge switch as he returned back to win the remaining three sets.

This was the first time in the history of US Open that someone has won the finals after losing the first two sets. He won by 2-6, 4-6, 6-4, 6-3, 7-6.

“We started to know each other back in 2014 and straight away started to develop a great friendship,” Thiem said during the trophy presentation. “We’ve made great things happen on the court and off the court. It’s amazing how far our journey brought us, to share this moment. I wish we could have two winners today. We both deserved it.”

Walmart and Zipline partner to instate Drone deliveries of Healthcare Products

0

In what could be a step forward in the delivery chain and processes of products and services, American medical products delivery company Zipline is set to ensure a partnership between themselves and retail chain Walmart.

As part of a trial test scheduled for early January 2021, the pilot program near Walmart’s headquarters in Arkansas will see on-demand healthcare products’ deliveries. The service range is set to be within 50 miles radius of the Walmart store. This could signal the start of nation-wide operations depending on the company scalability of Zipline.

Zipline conceptualized and implemented the drone delivery service in 2016. Receiving a good level of success for the same, the first time it was introduced was with the objective of delivering blood to patients in Rwanda’s remote areas. Similar deliveries were carried out in Ghana as well, where rain-affected areas got essentials and supplies.

The need for warehouse inventory check was also addressed using a similar set of drones. Later it was also announced that Zipline would be coming to India, specifically the state of Maharashtra, with the intention of starting operations to cover a wide area of distribution centers. In the United States, this will be their second feature presence after tying up with a hospital system based out of North Carolina.

Although it would take some time based on the pilot project results and feasibility, we could be seeing more of drone deliveries. Their competitor Amazon also got the required approval from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to start a drone airline.

Should the streamlining of this process become more efficient, then Zipline’s patented drone delivery technology could set to benefit them across major domains. A partnership with Walmart means they could have an access to an expanded range based on the retail chain’s inventory. They could shift to groceries, cosmetics and fertilizers, and much more product range.

Sergio Reguilon is keen to join Manchester United but there are still some hurdles to cross

The Spanish left-back who had played a major role in Lopetegui’s squad to win the UEFA Europa League last season has returned to his parent club Real Madrid. But it seems the French boss isn’t too convinced with his performance despite being voted La Liga’s best left-back last season.

Zidane prefers his €47m signing Ferland Mendy and Marcelo is going to stay at least another year. He intends not to use the 23-year-old Spanish talent who is even preferred by Luis Enrique for the national team.

Sevilla are not interested to sign Reguilon back despite his stellar performances last season. They have already signed Marcos Acuna from Sporting.

Premier League club Manchester United is keen on signing the left-back and strengthening their defence. Reguilon also wants to join the Red Devils.

But, before the Sergio Reguilon-Manchester United deal is completed, there are some hurdles to cross.

United doesn’t want to pay Real Madrid’s €30m price tag for the left-back. On top of that, Real Madrid are also asking for a ‘buy-back clause’.

Although Zidane doesn’t have Reguilon in his plan for this season, Madrid wants to make sure to include a buy-back clause so that they can bring their homegrown player back to the Bernabeu if he manages to establish himself as a world-class player.

Real Madrid and Manchester United need to sort these things out before the transfer can be completed. United’s agreement with Reguilon on personal terms won’t be any problem. Just the transfer fee and the buy-back clause needs to be sorted.
