Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy F17 5G and Galaxy M17 5G have been spotted on Geekbench benchmarks, revealing key specifications ahead of their official launch. The listings, spotted by tipster Mohammed Khatri, confirm that both devices are rebranded versions of the Galaxy A17 5G running on Samsung’s Exynos 1330, a 5nm octa-core chip paired with 8GB RAM.

Samsung Galaxy F17 & M17 5G Specifications Revealed

Specification	Galaxy F17 5G	Galaxy M17 5G
Processor	Exynos 1330 (5nm)	Exynos 1330 (5nm)
RAM	8GB	8GB
Single-Core Score	975 points	762 points
Multi-Core Score	2,242 points	1,596 points
Operating System	Android 15	Android 15
Performance Cores	2 × 2.40GHz	2 × 2.40GHz

Despite sharing identical hardware specifications, the two devices show notable performance differences in benchmark testing, with the Galaxy F17 5G delivering significantly higher scores across both single-core and multi-core tests.

Performance Differences Despite Same Hardware

The Galaxy M17 5G scored 762 points in single-core and 1,596 in multi-core, while the Galaxy F17 5G scored higher with 975 in single-core and 2,242 in multi-core. These performance variations suggest different optimization approaches between the F and M series lineups.

The Exynos 1330 is a 5nm octa-core SoC featuring two 2.40GHz performance cores and six 2GHz efficiency cores, the same processor that powers the Galaxy A17 5G. While not groundbreaking, the chipset should deliver solid performance for daily tasks, streaming, and casual gaming.

Rebranded Galaxy A17 5G Variants

Both devices surface as rebranded versions with Exynos 1330 and 8GB RAM, showing notable performance differences despite identical specifications. This suggests Samsung may implement different software optimizations or thermal management strategies between the F and M series variants.

The upcoming phones will likely target different market segments, with the F-series typically focused on camera capabilities and the M-series emphasizing battery life and value proposition. Both models are expected to offer additional RAM variants beyond the 8GB configuration spotted in benchmarks.

The Geekbench listings indicate both devices will run Android 15 out of the box, ensuring users get the latest software features and security updates. Samsung’s strategy of launching rebranded variants allows the company to cater to diverse consumer preferences while maintaining cost efficiency in India’s competitive smartphone market.

As Samsung continues expanding its 5G portfolio, these mid-range offerings will compete directly with other brands targeting the budget-conscious segment seeking reliable 5G connectivity and decent performance.
