FC Barcelona want €10 million back from Neymar which was paid due to a tax miscalculation

0

Brazilian superstar Neymar left FC Barcelona in 2017 and joined Paris Saint Germain for a world-record transfer fee. But there were multiple issues between the Spanish Club and the Brazilian, which are going on since then.

In a recent report of El Mundo, FC Barcelona has overpaid Neymar €10 million due to a tax miscalculation. The report completely shows the mistake of the Catalan club and they now want their money back.

The Spanish Club won a court case against Neymar in June following a bonus dispute. After the verdict, Neymar had to pay €6.7 million to the Catalan club. It was a verdict about a case filed by Neymar against the Catalan club as the Brazilian claimed an unpaid bonus of €43m following the last contract he signed with the club in 2016.

FC Barcelona is now struggling with its financial issues. As per a report by Diario Sport, FC Barcelona needs to save almost €300 million to avoid a financial crisis. FC Barcelona board is now searching for solutions for this situation.

FC Barcelona has sold Luis Suarez, Arturo Vidal, Arthur Melo, Rafinha Alcantara, and Nelson Semedo last summer. But that was not enough. They still need to make up for the deficiency.

It was first expected that FC Barcelona will manage the situation by a pay cut from all the players, staff, and members’ salary. But FC Barcelona’s interim board president Carlos Tusquets said, “We do not want to take money from anyone.”

The Neymar dispute is surely a part of re-check of old financial reports as Barcelona are looking into their accounts to see how this type of situation has arrived at Camp Nou.

Nvidia to launch RTX 3080 Ti in January 2021

0

We already know that Nvidia’s next-generation RTX 3080 Ti will be launched soon. But there has been no official confirmation regarding the launch date of the graphics card. According to sources, HKEPC claims that Nvidia plans to release its RTX 3080 Ti card in January 2021. The news, however, is not confirmed by Nvidia.

The graphics maker has already released the RTX 3080 and RTX 3090 for US$699 and US$1,499, respectively. The RTX 3080 Ti is expected to be between the two cards and will come at a price of around US$999. The card’s price is just right and will Nvidia a chance to combat AMD in the price segment. AMD unveiled its latest entry into the graphics market, the RX 6900 XT, for US$999. The company even claims that the 6900 XT can easily compete with the RTX 3900.

According to sources, Nvidia’s information launching the new card in January 20201 comes from a Taiwanese board factory. Sources also confirmed that an RTX 3080 Ti SKU (PG133 SKU 15) exists and has been included on NVIDIA’s most-recent roadmap. These roadmaps seemingly change regularly, and we have already seen this with the cancellation of RTX 3080 20 GB, and RTX 3070 16 GB SKUs suggests.

Further information claims that NVIDIA will base the RTX 3080 Ti on the GA102-250-KD-A1 GPU. The GPU contains 10,496 CUDA cores, the same as the RTX 3090. However, sources claim that the card will operate on 20 GB of GDDR6X VRAM with a 320-bit memory bus.

The RTX 3080 Ti will also have a 320 W TGP, making it 30 W less power-hungry than the RTX 3090. Sources also claim that NVIDIA will not include its NVLINK connector on the RTX 3080 Ti. However, all of these are rumours and should be taken with a pinch of salt. As to whether Nvidia will release its GPU in January 2021 remains to be seen.

Nvidia’s RTX 3050 to come with GA107 GPU

0

There are a lot of leaks and rumors going on around about Nvidia’s upcoming graphics card lineups. We now know a lot of details regarding the new cards. However, many things pop up on the internet that can surprise us by a lot.

According to sources, both the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 and RTX 3050 Ti will use the GA106 GPU. But its upcoming video card for budget users, namely the non-Ti RTX 3050, will use a different core. However, it is all rumours and leaks, and it should be taken with a pinch of salt. Nvidia has still neither confirmed nor denied these rumours.

The RTX 3050 is expected to be the slowest and the most affordable video card to join the RTX 30 lineup. According to sources, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 is expected to feature the GA107-300 GPU with 2,304 CUDA cores and a TGP value of 90 Watt. Sources also claim that the card will probably feature 4 GB of 128-bit GDDR6 memory. We already know that cards based on the XX107 GPUs usually come with a 128-bit memory bus.

NVIDIA’s new RTX 30 series products have a lot of processors waiting for in the lineup. According to sources, the GPUs to soon enter the market includes the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti, which will be launched in early December. Also, the RTX 3050 Ti and non-Ti RTX 3060 are expected to show up in January 2021, while the GeForce RTX 3050 Ti might be launched in February 2021.

AMD, the company’s biggest competitor, is expected to launch the Navi 21 and Navi 22 product lineups. The first ones being the Navi 22-based Radeon RX 6700 series, which will hit the market in early 2021. It seems that the first quarter of 2021 will bring out the ugly side of the semiconductor wars.

New Apple M1 chip on a MacBook Air beats Core i9 16-inch MacBook Pro in Geekbench

0

Apple has made some really bold claims with their new M1 chip and touted it to be the world’s fastest chip, now, it did not exactly say which chip it was comparing against but its claims seem to be genuine after the leaked Geekbench scores.

The Cupertino giant ditched Intel for its own ARM-based SoC for new Macs and with the help of 5nm process they’ve built an incredible low-power consuming chip with incredible performance.

As we all know the MacBook Air will have no fans this time and so the new M1 chip on this laptop will passively be cooled, however, Apple never really stopped bragging about the new MacBook Air’s performance. Now, as pointed out by Notebookcheck, a new Geekbench 5 listing for the M1 MacBook Air says the new Apple Silicon is faster than an 8-core Intel Core i9-9880H found on a 16-inch MacBook Pro.

It seems the graphs that Apple was showing was indeed correct as it promised 2x more performance with just 1/2 the power as that of other laptop chips. The CPU performance per Watt is claimed to be the best in the market, thanks to the ARM architecture on a 5nm process, you are getting insane performance at just 10W TDP.

New Apple M1 chip on a MacBook Air beats Core i9 16-inch MacBook Pro in Geekbench

As per the Geekbench listing, the new MacBook Air runs macOS 11.0.1, using an Apple Silicon processor. So, the passively cooled laptop scored an impressive 1687 and 7433 points in the single and multi-core tests respectively.

Now, if this is compared with a Core i9-9880H running on a 16-inch MacBook Pro, the Intel CPU is 35% worse in Geekbench 5’s single-core test, whereas, about 15% worse in the multi-core test. The average scores for a Core i9 CPU on a 16-inch MacBook Pro are around 1100 for single-core and 6000-6500 for multi-core.

This kind of performance at low TDPs is absolutely unimaginable and that too this is the first chip from Apple. Why? Because the Apple M1 chip on a MacBook Air has no cooling whereas the Core i9-9880H running on a 16-inch MacBook Pro does have a great cooling system and takes more TDP (45W) than the M1 chip.

As per the Geekbench listing, the M1 chip has a base clock speed of 3.2 GHz, whereas a Core i9-9880H, has a base clock of just 2.3 GHz. Well, Apple has used a big.LITTLE architecture of ARM and still all the specs of the chip has not been revealed yet, so, if however, the Geekbench scores come out to be true then we do really need to give Apple the credit of making the M1 chip.

MacBook Air has New Function Keys with Different Functions

0

Apple launches the new MacBook Air on November 17th. This is one of the first laptops which features Apple’s own ARM-based CPUs, designed for Macs. From the outside, the laptop is nearly identical but after opening it up, you will notice some modifications in the keyboard.

Spotlight, Do Not Disturb, and Dictation, these are the new function keys which are added to MacBook Air. The laptop is powered by the new M1 processor of Apple. The M1 is similar to the processor of the iPhone 12 and iPad Air. Last time they changed the keyboard to add Touch ID for securing payment details and passwords.

Observing the new changes in the keyboard, an employee of Bloomberg, Mark Gurman shared an image of the keyboard by saying that, “The new MacBook Air has updated keyboard function keys, adding Spotlight, Dictation, and Do Not Disturb – replaces Launchpad and Keyboard brightness.”

Apple removed the brightness key along with the launchpad from the keyboard which was very helpful to open, find, and organize apps.

Does any user actually use the launchpad to launch apps? I don’t think so. That is not a big deal without the launchpad. Also, does anyone need to adjust the brightness of the keyboard? Let’s see, how the experience goes with the new three function key of MacBook Air.

We have to wait for feedback from the users. Let’s see how the user reacts to the new keyboard. You can have a MacBook by paying INR 92,900.
