HyLyt highlights Unified Information Management through Smart Folders

0

New Delhi, December 2020: Searching Data with HyLyt just got easier as the app unveiled its technology update through which it can optimize its search options and converge similar information based on multiple conditions on a real-time basis. The latest addition to its features allows HyLyt to be one of its own kind of app that can conduct searches across different file formats on fourteen different search criteria.

The global unified information management and collaboration platform offers multiple filters on information to create customized views that help towards business information supervision and decision making in real-time without time lag and enable users to operate through a single click.

Speaking at the occasion of the release of the unique feature, Rajat Singhania, Founder of SocioRac, HyLyt said, “HyLyt recognized the need of users to pull information based on multiple conditions frequently for faster and better decision making.  HyLyt has taken ahead this concept to give users multiple search options as input. We have created 14 such options that the user can toggle with. The app will create a separate Smart (virtual) folder showcasing the information with all the information of the user matching the defined criteria in real-time as new data comes in or is created. Not only will the app pull out the relevant data to this Smart folder, it will not delete the data from its original folders either.”

“The criteria once specified will work across word, pdf, calendar entries, notepad, jpgs and every file available on the device, just wiping out the risk of losing information on the particular subject. I believe that time is money and efficient information management will help minimize the losses of time and money,” he added.

The app is enabled with hi-tech features like:

  • multi-factor security authentication
  • interconnect information on multiple parameters
  • single click share to multiple channels
  • schedule push notifications
  • prevent re-share and forward of information
  • Pull back of data from outgoing employee
  • transfer of knowledge from old to new employee

“HyLyt believes in creating magic around business and availability of information through technology. These 14 search criterions are like the flavours of how one can cook (look at) the data most efficiently and conduct business. As professionals today are juggling with multiple responsibilities, we have just added the spice to aid them efficiently,” Mr Singhania said.

HyLyt aims to generate 2.5 billion man-hours of additional productive time by 2025, by leveraging digital technology and help manage digital data overload that today’s business generates. HyLyt expects around 10000 active users in a years’ time.

Arsenal need leaders instead of youngsters to turn their form around

0

Arsenal are currently in the most disastrous run of form in their history. A string of performances that would have seen other clubs sack the gaffer as soon as possible, has instead seen the club reaffirm their faith in Mikel Arteta.

Speaking about the Gunners’ situation on the Patreon exclusive “Here We Go” podcast, Fabrizio Romano mentioned that Arsenal’s technical director Edu had publicly backed Mikel Arteta.

The journalist even confirmed that Arsenal see Mikel Arteta as part of their long term project and are convinced that he is the right person to lead the London outfit into the future.

Their recent performances on the pitch have been extremely underwhelming, and have seen the club drop into the bottom 6. They also lost four home games in a row for the first time in 60 years.

Romano talked about the necessity of leaders in the Arsenal squad. Former captain Granit Xhaka recently had another outburst on the pitch that saw him be sent off immediately. On the other hand, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang finds himself in a goal drought.

While he is a fantastic player, his leadership qualities leave a lot to be desired, especially for a big club like Arsenal.

Comparing the situation to AC Milan, Romano talked about how the Rossoneri were 7th or 8th last season, but since the arrival of a true leader like Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Milan have not lost a single game this season in the league.

Arsenal undoubtedly need time and players to turn their fate around, and instead of investing in young talent that need time to grow, they must invest in leaders and experienced players who can hold their own on the pitch and guide the existing young talent at the club.

Lucas Torreira set to stay at Atletico till 2021

0

Former Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira joined Atletico Madrid on the last day of the transfer window during the summer. While Thomas Partey famously went in the other direction, the two deals were independent of each other and while Partey was signed permanently, Torreira was signed on a loan deal.

The 24-year-old has only made 10 appearances for his new club across all competitions this season. Of those, 5 have come in La Liga and 4 have come in the Champions League.

The Uruguayan recently struggled with coronavirus and had to spend a spell out on the sidelines to recover. His performances have hence been something to be desired.

Speaking about the player’s future on the “Here We Go” podcast on Patreon, Fabrizio Romano said that there were no plans for Torreira to return to the Emirates in January.

As agreed between the two clubs, the loan deal will expire in the summer of 2021, and Atletico Madrid have the option of buying the player if they find his performances to be worth the investment.

Considering it is a new country and a new club for him, Romano mentioned that it will take him some time to adapt and really get going. But under a coach of the stature of Diego Simeone, the sky could be the limit for the young midfielder.

Upcoming AMD Ryzen 7 5700U brings good improvement in multi-core benchmarks with SMT enabled

0

Its no secret now that AMD will be launching next-gen Ryzen 5000U processors at CES 2021 and hold its momentum what they have achieved last year with Ryzen 4000 processors. Essentially AMD will be mixing things up for their upcoming lineup and use both of their Zen 2 and Zen 3 architectures.

If that strategy will offer more variety and help reduce the deficit in stock, I am okay with this as honestly, Ryzen 4000U series was great and it it becomes more affordable, I will be happy with AMD’s decision of retaining it. So, these Renoir refresh APUs have been called Lucienne APUs with Zen 2 cores and the upcoming Ryzen 7 5700U has been spotted quite number of times now.

Upcoming AMD Ryzen 7 5700U brings good improvement in multi-core benchmarks with SMT enabled

The APU has been spotted on Geekbench running on Asus VivoBookn laptops to even HP Pavilions and even on Acer Swift series, now its been spotted on Xiaomi’s RedmiBook Pro 14S. It does make sense because Xiaomi was very fast to adopt Ryzen 4000U on its RedmiBook series in 2020 and it was good but only available in the Chinese market.

The score that this upcoming laptop puts out on Geekbench with the Ryzen 5700U, an 8 core 16 threaded APU, is by far the best we have seen. It scores a massive 6,431 points in multi-core tests, making it much faster than its predecessor Ryzen 7 4700U, which I use everyday scores 5136 points in multi-core tests.

Though the scores have improved with recent BIOS updates, but the average territory should be in that 5000 range for any Ryzen 7 4700U powered laptop out there. This makes the new Ryzen 7 5700U almost 25% faster in the multi-core tests, thanks to the extra 8 threads. While there’s not much difference in single core tests posting 1182 points against the 1137 points by its predecessor.

Intel’s problems just doesn’t seem to end

0

It’s not some huge secret that Intel had a rough year this time around. The year 2020 was a bad year for everyone. But the silicon giant faced humiliation at every end by the hands of its biggest rival AMD.

However, it is still without a doubt a vital fact that intel is still the most preferred processor for home and office notebooks, at least for now anyway. The financial reports produced by intel for the fiscal year 2020 certainly gives its investors hope that the company is still running in profit. But the production issues are still haunting intel’s gains, and to add the cherry, AMD’s relentless attacks are giving Intel no room to breathe. Here are complete details as to why Intel has more delays, unsatisfactory yields, and production outsourcing.

Issues with the 10 nm node yields:

  • 10 nm production started in late 2018 and did not appear viable for “full production” and “shipping for revenue” purposes.
  • Upcoming SuperFin 10 nm nodes are “unquestionably far better than base 10nm. But still not as good at the 14 nm nodes.
  • Cannon Lake yields lower than 25% even with iGPU disabled.
  • The 10 nm capacity is far from handling an entire product stack.
  • Even with SuperFin tech, the 10 nm production capacity may never match the 14 nm nodes.
  • Intel’s bloating up of die sizes led to a 14nm shortage.
  • “OEMs told they were to get a “small fraction” of orders of TGL. Improvements to yield won’t fully help because no. of wafer starts is still low.”
At CES 2020, Intel previewed upcoming mobile PC processors code-named “Tiger Lake.” Tiger Lake’s new capabilities, built on Intel’s 10nm+ process and integrated with new Intel Xe graphics architecture, are expected to deliver massive gains over 10th Gen Intel Core processors. First systems are expected to ship this year. (Credit: Tim Herman/Intel Corporation)

Server-grade Scalable Processor delays:

  • Ice Lake SP processors delayed again due to a bug
  • Sapphire Rapids is way better.
  • “If both companies iterate perfectly on their roadmaps as planned (much easier on AMD’s side right now), Intel can not catch up to AMD until late 2024 or early 2025.”

7 nm node delays:

  • “7 nm is significantly more delayed than the 6-12 months first claimed. Ponte Vecchio is in-hands basically now, and it was the first 7 nm product. Now it’s on TSMC. Sometimes December this year anyway.”
  • The actual release schedule for the 7 nm products is still not clear

“Ice Lake was supposed to compete with [AMD’s] Rome (and it would still lose even with the on-paper and significantly better specs than reality). [AMD’s] Milan is going to likely beat Sapphire Rapids over a year earlier and before Ice Lake rolls out. By the time Sapphire Rapids releases, [AMD’s] Genoa will be here or right around the corner. Genoa was supposed to compete with Granite Rapids, which is late 2023 now.”

There are way more problems than what Intel could solve. In the case of AMD, the only problem it is currently facing is its low production capacity. And once it gets solved, it will only become harder for Intel to catch up to its rival.

AMD’s SAM now supported by 1st gen Ryzen processors

0

AMD’s Ryzen CPU’s are in a class of their own. And we know very the relationship between ASUS and AMD. As such, it is not a surprise that ASUS has decided to bestow upon its B450 motherboard the outstanding AMD Smart Access Memory support for first-gen Ryzen CPUs. The graphics and chipset manufacturers Smart Access Memory or resizable-BAR (Base Address Register) feature helps CPU access the full memory buffer available on any modern GPUs.

AMD is the first to offer this feature on its Ryzen 5000 and 500-series motherboards, but recently, the board manufacturers have unofficially extended the support on AMD’s 400-series and for Intel’s 400-series motherboards. There were already rumors of AMD’s SAM coming to the older generation of its CPUs, and now we are seeing ASUS enabling SAM support for even the 1st generation Ryzen CPUs. AMD Smart Access Memory was enabled on an AMD Ryzen 7 1700 CPU running on ASUS B450-PLUS motherboard. The board was running the latest 2409 BIOS, which was released in early December.

The user who successfully managed to enable SAM on his ASUS motherboard, tested the performance in Doom Eternal. Doom Eternal was tested at 1080p at Ultra preset. The results are as follows:

With AMD SAM DISABLED ON BIOS:

  1. Run 1: Average FPS: 125.6FPS | Min. FPS: 82.2FPS | Max. FPS: 250.3FPS | 1% Low: 83.6FPS | 0.1% Low: 41.1FPS
  2. Run 2: Average FPS: 123.0FPS | Min. FPS: 87.4FPS | Max. FPS: 251.1FPS | 1% Low: 86.1FPS | 0.1% Low: 75.7FPS
  3. Run 3: Average FPS: 123.0FPS | Min. FPS: 87.7FPS | Max. FPS: 251.4FPS | 1% Low: 83.6FPS | 0.1% Low: 73.5FPS

With AMD SAM ENABLED ON BIOS:

  1. Run 1: Average FPS: 125.9FPS | Min. FPS: 85.4FPS | Max. FPS: 253.0FPS | 1% Low: 86.0FPS | 0.1% Low: 77.1FPS
  2. Run 2: Average FPS: 124.2FPS | Min. FPS: 82.0FPS | Max. FPS: 252.9FPS | 1% Low: 85.9FPS | 0.1% Low: 43.0FPS
  3. Run 3: Average FPS: 124.6FPS | Min. FPS: 79.4FPS | Max. FPS: 252.8FPS | 1% Low: 81.7FPS | 0.1% Low: 65.7FPS

Overall Average with AMD SAM ENABLED:

  • Average FPS: 124.90FPS | Min. FPS: 82.26FPS | Max. FPS: 252.90FPS | 1% Low: 84.53FPS | 0.1% Low: 61.93FPS

Final Results:

  • Average FPS: +0.839%;
  • Min. FPS: -6.20%;
  • Max. FPS: +0.596%;
  • 1% Low: +0.119%;
  • 0.1% Low: -2.365%

It is not a surprise to enable AMD’s SAM support on an ASUS motherboard, but using an older generation Ryzen 7 1700 CPU is fantastic. Those who plan on running an older CPU/board combo with a modern GPU will benefit from this new revelation.

Nvidia set to make $3.5 billion in profits with its ARM acquisition

0

When Nvidia announced that it was acquiring the British chip manufacturer ARM ltd, the entire tech world was shaken to its core. Many complained about the deal would give Nvidia an unfair advantage over its competitors in the market, and some even creating hurdles for the deal’s take-off.

With ARM acquisition, the green team is looking to target the growing Artificial Intelligence and Data Centre sectors. As such, Nvidia stated that it had a $250 billion total addressable market (TAM) in mind by 2023. The company is quite optimistic about its future with ARM; it believes that its GPUs being paired with ARM’s technology will allow the new entity to target a range of computing markets, including consumer electronics, data centers, and the Internet of Things (IoT).

ARM’s total market size dropped by roughly 8% from 2018 to 2019. In its 2018 roadshow, the company projected a $250 billion market for 2028, but this decreased by 7% next year for 2029’s projected market size. The drop in the market shares of ARM may have been what pushed the company to back the acquisition.

Nvidia’s market share has grown exponentially during this year and will only develop further in the graphics segment due to its upcoming RTX 30 series. Though ARM’s shares have been decreasing lately, its value rose high this year, especially in two critical sectors of IoT and Data Center. Nvidia’s authorities will surely be pleased with these figures.

According to sources, ARM’s chip shipments stood at a historic high of 22.5 billion in 2019; it’s natural to assume that the company’s revenue will only further increase in 2023. Therefore analysts believe that the company will easily touch the estimated revenue of $3.5 billion.

NVIDIA is looking to benefit financially from this deal; instead, it is more important to extend its presence in the ARM ecosystem. As we already know that the ARM chips are powering almost all the devices in the market. Even apple’s latest M1 chipset is based on ARM’s technology. Thus, Nvidia will benefit the most in technology and performance by making a home in ARM’s environment.
