Oppo X Tom Ford rollable concept phone appears with a triple rear camera setup

0

Oppo, one of the famous Chinese manufacturing companies, might launch a very interesting rollable smartphone in the future. According to a few reports, Oppo is preparing to bring a slider phone with a rollable display soon into the market. The popular designer and American filmmaker, Tom Ford, is the reported design developer behind this concept phone. This is said because of the back images found in one of the documents. We can easily spot ‘Oppo X Tom Ford’ written below the cameras. Though, the company has not made any official statement about the collaboration with the US designer.

It can also be seen that it has a leather back cover, with woven fabric and a wood-like exterior. The smartphone has a vertical stretching body. The screen display can be rolled inside the case. This helps in decreasing the size to almost half. It features a triple rear camera which is placed horizontally on the backside. The front-camera cannot be seen in the photos which might indicate a presence of under-display selfie camera.

Oppo, as a brand, is very famous but it still has a lower market share than its competitors like Xiaomi. It is obvious that technological advancements will give smartphone OEMs a headstart to compete in the future market. A few days back, we reported how Oppo is planning to bring an exciting slide phone into the market. This Oppo X 2021 can be folded three times into 1.5-inch, 3.15-inch, and 7-inch display screens. That model was developed in collaboration with Japanese design studio Nendo. Foldable smartphones are the future. Thus, it can be seen that Oppo is prepared to invest in the future and looking at the options to lure customers. We should also take into account that this is still coming as a concept phone and the real handset might look completely different from this.

AC Milan not eyeing a move for Depay; Koeman still wants former player at Barca

Memphis Depay had agreed on all personal details with Barcelona, as confirmed by the authorities at Lyon. However, the move did not go through owing to the financial crunch at Barcelona. The club needed to sell before they bought any players, and they did not manage to sell enough.

AC Milan were reportedly interested in Depay’s services, but have since turned their attention elsewhere to possibly add an heir to Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s striking throne among their ranks.

Just like the situation during the summer transfer window, Barcelona must sell some players to recuperate funds before attempting to sign Depay. Ronald Koeman has been telling the board almost every week that he needs the player at Barcelona, and that the player is part of his long term project at the club.

Whether or not the move will go through during the January transfer window is something that is completely up to the player, according to Fabrizio Romano through his Here We Go podcast on Patreon.

Lyon currently find themselves at the top of the Ligue 1 table and have a chance at finally usurping PSG from the top of the French League mountain. That is something that the player will most probably put into consideration considering the fact that he would be joining Barcelona on the back of an immensely successful season with his former club to add to his confidence.

Mbappe’s tribute to Thomas Tuchel

0

Thomas Tuchel was dismissed as head coach of Paris Saint-Germain on Christmas Eve as the team was fresh out of a 4-0 victory over Racing Strasbourg. Mauricio Pochettino has since been strongly linked with taking up the position of the manager at Paris, having been out of a job for a year now, with Spurs having been his last project.

It was Tuchel who welcomed Kylian Mbappe to the club after an impressive breakthrough at Monaco. The Frenchman took to Instagram to pay tribute to his now-former coach. Here is what he had to say:

mbappe

‘It is sadly the law of football. Nobody will forget your time here. You wrote a wonderful part of the club’s history and I say to you: “thank you, coach.”‘

The former Dortmund coach led Paris to their first-ever Champions League final and almost won the trophy only falling short to Bayern Munich in the final.

mbappe

Despite the tribute being posted publicly by Mbappe, the player is rumoured to have had trouble communicating with his coach and that Sporting Director Leonardo had to get the pair to talk things out to make the partnership work.

There is also speculation that Mbappe will be more interested in signing a new contract with Paris Saint-Germain after the departure of Tuchel.

Top 5 Point Guards in NBA 2020-21 season

0

Most all-time great players have been point guards. The very best ones have won individual achievements, team accomplishments, and have made a mark on the history of the NBA.

Here’s a ranking of the top playmakers and ball handlers this season, from 5-1.

5. Chris Paul

2019-20 Statistics: 17.6 PPG, 5.0 RPG, 6.7 APG, 1.6 SPG, 36.5% 3-PT FG

Probably one of the best leaders in NBA history, Paul has killer Instinct and supreme basketball I.Q. It makes him the perfect point guard. The only knock on his career is that he has never played an NBA Finals, and he may not have a chance with Phoenix until the end of his career. When he creates space for himself or assists his teammates with an easy basket, he can still be a knockdown shooter.

4. Kyrie Irving

2019-20 Statistics: 27.4 PPG, 5.2 RPG, 6.4 APG, 1.4 SPG, 39.4% 3-PT FG

Irving managed to bag an NBA title with the Cavaliers, and he deserves almost as much credit for it, as LeBron James does. He is one of the most dominant offensive guards to ever be seen. He is a box office player who fills out arenas, and his ball-handling skills rank among the best ever. He has a chance to repeat history and win his second title with the Brooklyn Nets.

3. Luka Doncic

2019-20 Statistics: 28.8 PPG, 9.4 RPG, 8.8 APG, 1.0 SPG, 31.6% 3-PT FG

Doncic is already one of the best players in the NBA. This season, he will be the main point guard for Dallas. Although his outstanding playmaking skills will force him to be the main playmaker, he can play four positions. He could very well be the #1 favourite for the MVP award this season. He is already a top-3 point guard and he will continue to prove that he will be competing for the top spot.

2. Damian Lillard

2019-20 Statistics: 30.0 PPG, 4.3 RPG, 8.0 APG, 1.1 SPG, 40.1% 3-PT FG

Lillard is a box office player who can shoot from anywhere on the court. He is yet to win an NBA championship or even compete in the Finals. Last year, Lillard was instrumental in leading a very average Portland Trail Blazers to a highly unlikely Playoff spot. His lack of postseason success besides a Western Conference Finals appearance two years ago is preventing him from taking the number position in this list. With the acquisition of Robert Covington and the re-signing of Carmelo Anthony, there are no more excuses for Lillard as he has a strong team.

1. Stephen Curry

2019-20 Statistics: 27.3 PPG, 5.3 RPG, 5.2 APG, 1.3 SPG, 43.7% 3-PT FG

Curry is the newest all-time great point guard in the game of basketball. Thanks to his dribbling skills and lightning-fast release, he is simply unstoppable in today’s game. He is the best shooter and mostly the player responsible for how the game is played. A two-way MVP and three-time NBA champion, he is one of the best point guards ever.

Other than these greats, players like Russell Westbrook, Ben Simmons, Jamal Murray, Kemba Walker, Kyle Lowry and Trae Young also deserve special mentions for their roles as a point guard.

Manchester City contract renewals: The latest on Sterling, De Bruyne and Aguero

0

With the current scenario of the transfer market, extending the contracts of your best players feels as good as a new signing. Working towards that end, Manchester City are considering contract renewals for midfield star Kevin De Bruyne, winger Raheem Sterling and Sergio Aguero.

Though the former two have time on their side, the same cannot be said for Aguero. The 32-year-old’s contract expires at the end of the season, and he has been MIA with injuries since the start of the season.

Surprisingly, his contract situation is going under the radar owing to his absence from the pitch. When the January transfer window opens, Aguero will be free to negotiate a pre-contract agreement with other clubs should he want a change in scenery.

However, the player has not come to a decision regarding his future yet. According to Fabrizio Romano and Francesco Porzio on the “Here We Go” podcast, Manchester City’s board are awaiting a decision from the striker, and are all in favour of him staying at the club.

Kevin De Bruyne is on the verge of signing a new deal, while the club is expected to begin negotiations with Raheem Sterling regarding a contract extension with the beginning of the new year. Both players have a few years remaining on their current deals, so the situation is relatively calmer.

Despite a rather shaky start to the 20/21 season with points being dropped via draws and a shocking 2-5 defeat to Leicester at the Etihad, Pep Guardiola has managed to turn things around for the Manchester Blues.

City have conceded the least number of goals out of all the teams in the Premier League so far, with 12 goals against the team. Although they currently sit in 8th, three points from their game in hand against Aston Villa could boost them as high as third.

So, in the next couple of years, we will be definitely going to see a bunch of premium smartphones having flexible OLED panels from different manufacturers.

Xiaomi has earlier launched a smartphone, named Mi MIX Alpha that shook the whole smartphone world with its surrounded display design. It was reported as well that Xiaomi is looking to sell a limited quantity of smartphones in China.

Recently, Xiaomi has come up with a new patent that shows a similar smartphone like the Mi MIX Alpha with a surrounded display. But this time, it is expected to feature pop-up cameras. Let’s find out more about this. Xiaomi has shared 16 sketches of the upcoming smartphone with its detailed design. Tottenham Hotspur news: Kane, Son and Reguilon future updates

0

Tottenham have had an unbelievable start to the 20/21 campaign, and while their recent form has dropped a little, it is safe to say that Spurs are genuine title contenders this season. Jose Mourinho has managed to make the footballing world completely forget the season gone by, and baptise the team as something very new.

A huge part of the credit behind the success of the team goes to their two best players, Harry Kane and Heung-Min Son. The latter was recently awarded the Korean Player of the Year award for his outstanding 2020 and is currently among the top scorers in the Premier League.

It is only natural that Spurs will try to do everything in their power to keep two of their best players at the club, and an agreement with Son regarding a new deal is close to completion. That update is via Fabrizio Romano, who mentioned that the club and the player were both on the verge of signing the new deal shortly on the “Here We Go” podcast.

Harry Kane currently leads the Premier League in terms of the number of assists in the competition and has been sensational this season. While there was plenty of speculation regarding his future in the past, he looks set to stay at Spurs. Especially considering that no other club in Europe has the capacity to splash out 150 million Euros right now.

Spurs new boy Sergio Reguilon is also very happy at the club and is very focused on the project at hand. He is also enjoying the city and is overall very satisfied with his transfer to London.

While there is still the possibility of Real Madrid activating the buy-back clause in his contract, the final decision regarding the future is up to the player himself. Having only arrived in England recently, Reguilon is part of the title race with Tottenham and is secure with his future at the club for the time being.

Christian Eriksen to Arsenal is not on the cards, Papu Gomez move probable

Christian Eriksen was recently deemed surplus to requirements by Inter Milan, and the board confirmed that the player would be sold during the January transfer window, which is only a few days away.

The Dane has only made 8 appearances in Serie A this season, with four of those coming off the bench. His fate in other competitions, namely, the Champions League, has not been any better. Antonio Conte clearly does not favour the attacking midfielder in his lineups.

All that said, the player has the most caps for club and country in all of Europe this season, but does not even make it to the top 1000 of the players with the most minutes under their belt.

Hence, it is only logical that the board chooses to cash in on the 28-year-old, who is in his peak physical years as a footballer. Having only joined the club a year ago, Eriksen is contractually bound to play for Inter for the next three years at the very least, but that does not seem to be the way forward.

Arsenal have been linked with Christian Eriksen for a while now, which is understandable based on their need for a creative midfielder to create more chances and get the goals that they so desperately need to turn things around.

However, as reported by Fabrizio Romano on the “Here We Go” podcast on Patreon, Arsenal are not making a move for the former Spurs player. It is true that Eriksen has been offered to Arsenal, but there is no pursuit from the club’s end.

Papu Gomez is on the verge of leaving Atalanta, owing to the fallout between the Atalanta captain and manager Gasperini. His profile matches what Arsenal need, and it could be a very wise decision from the Gunners to pursue the Argentinian, given his experience and leadership qualities.

However, there has been no contact between the two parties as of yet.
