How the Barcelona rebuild project might look like

0

Joan Laporta returned to his former post as Barcelona president, with the 58-year-old securing almost double the number of votes of fellow competitor Victor Font in the process of a great comeback. While the club now has a recognised leader off the pitch, there has to be a number of changes behind the scenes and those to the board will be key.

Laporta himself knows that it will have to change the board. According to Fabrizio Romano and Francesco Porzio on the Here We Go podcast, Jordi Cruyff will be the secretary for the new Barcelona board while Mateo Alemany from Valencia sporting will take up the post of sporting director.

He did a great job with them before Valencia collapsed and had to sell off their players due to the coronavirus pandemic, and will be expected to do a similar job with the Blaugrana. For Barcelona right now, selling players is much more important than buying new players to increase the numbers for an already bloated squad.

Philippe Coutinho is rumoured to leave the club due to a lack of favourable circumstances surrounding the Brazilian’s future. On the flip side, Eric Garcia of Manchester City will be the first signing of the second era under Laporta. The contract will be signed in the coming weeks. The club are in the market for a  midfielder and striker too.

Barcelona have to rebuild on and off the pitch, and more importantly, Laporta might convince Messi to stay. His focus is on winning the Champions League and that has been further away with every passing season. A player like Messi needs a team with a top mentality. Laporta will propose the new Barcelona project to Messi and his father first, and the pair will then decide on the player’s future at or away from the club.

How much Cristiano Ronaldo costs Juventus per season?

0

Cristiano Ronaldo is arguably one of the best players of all time, and he would definitely come for a cost for any club. He left Real Madrid in 2018 after winning the 3rd consecutive Champions League title with them and joined the Italian champions for €100m.

He was expected to lead the Old Lady back to European glory, but the story hasn’t been ideal as they have failed miserably in each edition. As Ronaldo is not getting any younger, his chances are also getting lesser. This season, it seemed they might go all out for the Champions League trophy after failing to keep up with the Serie A leader Inter.

But Juventus has been shockingly knocked out of the tournament by Porto. Ronaldo’s old teammate Pepe pulled off a masterclass performance despite being playing with 10 men.

Cristiano Ronaldo failed to perform at his highest level in the Champions League match, and he has been put under heavy criticism along with all the players and officials. Whenever he doesn’t perform, his hefty price tag and salary comes to the forefront.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Calciomercato), Ronaldo costs Juventus a total amount of €87 million every season.

The club pays a gross salary for the 36-year-old worth €58 millions, with an additional €29 millions being paid as a part of his transfer fee.

A player of Ronaldo’s calibre would definitely come at a heavy price. Hence, it’s clearly understandable, and only when he fails to performs all the criticisms regarding his money comes to the limelight.

Ronaldo helped Juventus to win Serie A titles in each of the last seasons, and until this season, he was the only player to score Juventus’ Champions League knockout stage goals, such is the importance of him in this team. And everyone has an off day, so it’s not fair to point fingers at him.

Cristiano Ronaldo has always come back and proved his haters wrong. This time won’t be any different as well!

How Erling Haaland’s future looks with the current scenario

0

Erling Haaland became the youngest player in the history of the Champions League to score 20 goals, with his double against Sevilla to knock them out of the tournament. It took Haaland only 14 games to get to this point and is no doubt a generational talent at this point.

Speculation has been ripe about his future, and which club he will join after leaving Dortmund since a player of his calibre would no doubt want to be a realistic competitor for the Champions League every season. And Fabrizio Romano reiterated on this week’s episode of the Here We Go podcast that without Champions League football,  he might leave this very season.

The Norwegian has a release clause that becomes valid in 2022 and is worth €75 million which will cause every big club in Europe to pursue him. Dortmund officials Zorc and Kehl have said they’ll fight to keep him and the Champions League will be key to securing his services next season.

Both Manchester clubs, Chelsea, Liverpool, PSG, Barcelona and Real Madrid are all rumoured to be interested in the Norwegian. However, it must be noted that no one in advanced talks yet.

There has also been speculation as to whether the newly re-elected Barcelona President Joan Laporta will try to sign the player, since he is not a typical Barca player. He is something different, as has been stated by Romano in his podcast.

There are different rumours everyday because everyone is exploring the prospect of having the player on their books, considering his talent. Ibrahimovic’s signing by Barcelona in the past shows that the relationship between Raiola and Laporta is good. However, Raiola wants to deal with Madrid since he’s never done business with Madrid President Florentino Perez yet.

Intel Core i7 11700K appears in leaks yet again, this time remaining strong in the gaming segment

Though it’s been a while since we will see Intel’s Rocket Lake platform incomplete action. We already know that Intel is preparing for the launch of its new platform on 16th March and also that we will get the official performance review of the CPU by the end of March.

However, Intel will reportedly start accepting pre-orders of the Rocket Lake on 16th March itself. As we have mentioned earlier, buyers who want to purchase the CPU have to base their buying orders on the leaks and rumors of the platform available online.

Recently, Andreas Schilling over at HardwareLuxx has posted an early review of the Intel Core i7 11700k. As we already know that Intel has not released any official BIOS of its Rocket Lake family for the motherboards, so there is still some room for potential improvement.

Recently, Andreas Schilling over at HardwareLuxx has posted an early review of the Intel Core i7 11700k. As we already know that Intel has not released any official BIOS of its Rocket Lake family for the motherboards, so there is still some room for potential improvement.

According to sources, the Core i7 11700K was combined with an Asus ROG Maximus XIII Hero Z590 motherboard and DDR4-6400 RAM. Andreas tested the chip and stated that it was able to hit an overclock of 4.9 GHz. The clock speed was pretty impressive considering that the maximum power draw recorded by Andreas was 195W.

The tested sample reached a turbo boost speed of 4.7 GHz on all cores with a score of 1.214v. RKL. it is based on Cypress Cove cores and is allegedly targetting an IPC increase of around 18%. As we already know, the chipset will be the first platform to feature PCIe 4.0.

The Intel Core i7 11700K will go head-to-head with the Ryzen 5800X. the processor performs extremely well in single-threaded performance testing. Even though the performance of the processor is extremely well in single-core, yet the multi-core results still require some tuning.

Considering this the performance of Intel’s Rocket Lake remains quite behind the AMD’s Ryzen 9 5950X. But, AMD is suffering from supply constraint as such, notebooks powered AMD’s Ryzen 5000 series are rare in the market.

But considering the gaming performance for which the i7 is mostly used, the tester found that Intel’s processor beats AMD’s competitor in Battlefield V. this yet again proves that Intel is not ready to lose its market in gaming notebooks.

In Battlefield V, the Intel processors usually look quite good and this also applies to the Core i7-11700K. In Division 2, Metro: Exodus, and Shadow of the Tomb Raider, the Ryzen processors still have the upper edge. […]

The power consumption does not explode in the way it was feared – at least not with the Core i7-11700K. We’ll have to look at what this will look like with the Core i9-11900K. At the same time, the GPU temperatures, be it those of the package sensor or those of the individual cores, remain within the scope of what is a solvable task for a good cooler.

Fabrizio Romano provides an update on Edinson Cavani’s future at Manchester United

0

Edinson Cavani was recently rumoured to be unsettled at Manchester United, with the player’s father releasing the information that South American club Boca Juniors are willing to sign the player to bring him back to the continent. And speaking on the Here We Go podcast, Fabrizio Romano confirmed that the rumours it’s true.

While the Italian journalist did not comment on Cavani’s mentality at United, he did agree that Boca do want Cavani. The Argentinian club are reportedly willing to offer the striker an initial 2-year deal with an option of extending it for another, but nothing advanced has been agreed on yet.

People around him, though, have said he is open to staying at Manchester United beyond this season. We still have a fair share of the campaign to see through, and the player’s gents will decide his future at the end of it. All that said, Boca are ready to pursue the player but there is nothing yet.

The Uruguayan hasn’t said anything about leaving Manchester United either, and the situation is understood to be very open-ended at the moment. In all likelihood, if a move has to go through, it will be an end of the season deal.

Sergio Aguero tight-lipped on contract situation

Sergio Aguero’s contract with Manchester City is entering its final months, and the Argentinian is yet to agree on a new deal with the club. Additionally, he has been very tight-lipped about his desire to stay or leave the club and is expected to be ready with his decision at the end of the season and not before.

The player only recently returned from injury and has not been fully integrated back into the squad yet. He has been very respectful with Manchester City and has not discussed anything with any other clubs yet.

Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain have been linked with the player’s services, with Juventus being another possible destination. However it is still all speculation at this point and nothing concrete has been agreed on yet.

Aguero will complete ten years as a Manchester City player this summer, and joined the club from Atletico Madrid in a deal worth €40 million. The player has scored an astounding 256 goals for the club and is by far the highest goalscorer in the club’s history.

The player will surely be an asset to City should he choose to stay, but at 32, is nearing the final chapter of his career. Eventually, City will be expected to find themselves a replacement.

Chelsea news: Christensen, Silva new contract; Pulisic update and new centre-back rumours

0

Chelsea’s defensive record has been tidied up since the arrival of Thomas Tuchel at the club. The German is now the first manager in the Premier League to have kept five clean sheets in his first five home games, shutting out Wolves, Burnley, Everton, Manchester United and Newcastle United.

Andreas Christensen has also enjoyed a revitalised role in the team and has taken the chance given to him well. His performances at this point in time are almost incomparable to those at the beginning of the season. Chelsea, in turn, are planning to offer the Dane an extension on his current deal.

Thiago Silva is also in line for an extension, with the veteran also being an essential part of Chelsea’s all-round defensive improvement this season. However, the Blues are still in the market for a new centre-back. Bayern Munich’s Niklas Sule and Jerome Boateng are the names being linked with the club, alongside Ibrahima Konate of RB Leipzig.

But speaking on the topic on the Here We Go podcast, Fabrizio Romano said that the number one target for Chelsea is Jose Jimenez from Atletico Madrid. His current club’s stance is that potential suitors must pay the release clause or forget about signing the player. The release clause is a whopping €120 million, which is valid this season as well.

pulisic Chelsea news: Christensen, Silva new contract; Pulisic update and new centre-back rumours

Chelsea will decide whether to pursue the Madrid defender together with Thomas Tuchel at the end of the season. Elsewhere at Chelsea, Christian Pulisic is currently out of the Chelsea starting lineup and has been since the appointment of Thomas Tuchel. While this can also be attributed to his recurring injury problems, it must be kept in mind that he is appreciated by Tuchel.

Currently, there is no problem and the player has decided to wait and be patient with the new manager. But If continues like this he will be forced to ask to leave the club. Nothing concrete has been achieved yet, and we must also consider the fact that Tuchel is still trying things out with the Blues on the pitch.

Kieran Tierney to Napoli rumours false; Bukayo Saka has a big future at Arsenal

0

Recently, there was a resurgence in rumours linking Arsenal’s Kieran Tierney to Napoli. The left-back has been linked with the Italian club for a while now, but there has been nothing concrete about Napoli’s interest in the Scotland international.

Arsenal are very happy with the player, and at one point in the season, Tierney was the only reliable name on the team sheet. Fans had also asked for the player to be made captain of the team due to his vocal nature on the pitch, but Mikel Arteta has decided otherwise. Coming back to the rumours, Napoli are currently not planning.

Arsenal pursued Barcelona's Junior Firpo to back-up Kieran Tierney

Tierney primarily operates as a wing-back with a back 3, but can also be deployed as a centre-back, as well as a left midfielder. This versatility makes him a very valuable asset for the team that he plays for, alongside his work-rate.

Arsenal surely want to keep him, whereas Napoli are set to undergo a rebuild project with the arrival of a new manager next season in line for them. Arsenal have a lot of young talent amongst their ranks, most notably, Bukayo Saka showing up when the club needs individual brilliance to take it to the opposition.

The player has improved a lot since initially coming through at the first team, and is now one of the brightest prospects for the future.
