The new android app reported which is capable of stealing your chats and other info

Zimperium, a privately owned mobile security company based in the US, has warned Android users about installing an app called “System Update”. According to the company, an App is a form of malware capable of stealing wealth of personal and sensitive information from their phones or tablets.

If you just search for the name of the app on any search engine, it pops-up in the third-party Android app stores. It even has a convincing-looking Google logo like an icon but is not found on the Play Store.

According to the information posted by Zimperium, once the app is installed, it allegedly starts communicating with its maker’s command and control (C&C) server via the Firebase system, sending it information on subjects such as how its new host connects to the internet, its battery stats and whether WhatsApp is installed or not.

The company reported that the app contains a form of malware called a Remote Access Trojan or RAT, and may thus be capable of sending all kinds of user data back to its C&C server. The data sent back to the home-server may include messages from apps such as WhatsApp or those sent via SMS; recorded phone-calls; GPS-derived location info; browser search histories and even the contents of clipboards or notifications.

And thus, the app makes it possible for the attackers to gain access to every info on the owner’s device. Zimperium also notes that RATs are also capable of periodically activating a phone’s cameras (front- or rear-facing) and mics for further spying potential. So, android users are extremely careful while side-loading apps in your smartphone.

Liverpool, Tottenham and Manchester United in the race for Marcel Sabitzer

Marcel Sabitzer is among the most highly-rated midfielders in the Bundesliga, with the Leipzig captain operating dynamically in midfield across a variety of positions. Last season, he was deployed on the right-wing and as a number 10 and this season he has been used as a central midfielder.

All that said, the player is reluctant to sign a contract beyond June 2022, and Leipzig could be willing to listen to offers for him this summer. The 27-year-old has been a part of Leipzig for the last 7 years and was a key figure in their promotion to the German top flight in 2016.

His situation with the club is now attracting interest from Premier League clubs Liverpool, Tottenham and Manchester United with all three willing to enter a race for the Austrian international according to a report by BILD. Leipzig are rumoured to be holding out for a sum worth £36 million for their captain.

All three clubs will be in need of a recognised attacking threat this summer due to their respective situations. Liverpool need someone to supplement their front three, much like Spurs. Manchester United on the other hand, need someone to replace Paul Pogba who is still in talks to leave the club at the end of the season.

Sabitzer has scored 8 goals and provided 10 assists across all competitions, and has been linked with a move to Tottenham in the past. The London club will have to compete with two of the biggest names in the league to sign the player they want.

Shameful loss for India against UAE

A day of shame for the Indian football team. The Blue Tigers were beaten by 6-0 against the United Arab Emirates in a friendly match.

After an impressive 1-1 draw against Oman, it is expected that Team India will give a tough fight to the mighty United Arab Emirates. But they failed to do so.

UAE took the lead in the 12th minute of the game. Ali Mabkhout breaks the deadlock for UAE. He completed his hat-trick with a 32nd-minute penalty and a 60th-minute goal. Later they increased their lead with goals from Khalil Ibrahim, Fabio Virginio de Lima, and Sebastian Tagliabue.

After this loss, it has already started to increase the question on the ability of the Indian team coach Igor Stimac. India has played 12 games under Igor Stimac and won only 1. They are now 10 games without a win. Some fans want him to be sacked as soon as possible.

UAE is 74th in the FIFA ranking, and India is in 104th. UAE was a tough opponent. But this result was fully unexpected from the Indian side. However, it was a reality check for the Indian side before the upcoming World Cup qualifiers. Players can surely learn from their mistakes and come back as better individual.

Xiaomi introduces its version of AirPower, Wireless Charging Pad that can charge three devices at once

0

At Xiaomi’s latest flagship Mi 11 Ultra event on Monday, a range of accessories were unveiled by the company, including a new wireless charging pad capable of simultaneously charging three devices without precise placement, a device that is similar to the canceled AirPower charger introduced by Apple.

In 2017, the Cupertino tech giant, Apple, introduced its AirPower multi-device wireless charger, promised it’d be available in 2018, however, the company failed to meet that goal, and ultimately canceled the project in 2019. Now Xiaomi seems to deliver Apple’s promise and is expected to make the wireless charger available soon in China for under $100.

According to Xiaomi, this wireless charging pad features wireless power of up to 20W per device and includes 19 coils, allowing users to place and charge up to three devices that support Qi wireless charging.

Overall, this sort of device is exactly what Apple had promised but scrapped its plans for AirPower after failing to adequately deal with issues including heat dissipation that come when you pack that many charging coils into a tight space. Xiaomi says that it spent two years creating its charger in order to overcome those issues.

Unlike most other clones of the AirPower charger out there, Xiaomi’s wireless charging pad is more affordable, selling for about ¥599 (US$91). However, it is unknown if the charging pad will be released to markets outside of China.

XIAOMI IS NOT THE FIRST COMPANY TO CLONE THE APPLE AIRPOWER

The Chinese company is not the first company to make its own clone of the Apple AirPower. In 2019, Nomad released an 18-coil wireless charger that can charge any three devices with no specific placement, the Base Station Pro, but as noted by The Verge’s Chaim Gartenberg, “one of the downsides was that aside from the iPhone, the pad only provided 5W of charging.”

At the event, alongside a new wireless charging pad, Xiaomi unveiled the Mi 11 Pro powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor and a 5,000mAh battery, which includes 67W wireless charging as opposed to the Mi 10 Ultra and Huawei’s Mate 40 Pro, which have previously had the fastest wireless charging with 50W.

Lewis Hamilton wins Bahrain Grand Prix after the war with Verstappen

0

Lewis Hamilton finished first in the Bahrain Grand Prix to win his 96th career race and start off the season with a remarkable victory. It was a hard-fought battle between the British champion and rising youngster Max Verstappen, who came mighty close to winning the race and taking the challenge to Hamilton in the very first race but missed out by the finest of margins.

The 36-year-old was very vocal about the concern from his engineers after the race, saying:

‘Bono [Peter Bonnington, Hamilton’s race engineer] just kept telling me how many laps were left!’ Hamilton said after taking his first opening race win since 2015.

‘He was like ‘three laps, two laps’ and I’m like ‘Bono, I can count! I’ve got it!’

Hamilton stayed out on track, his final run of tyres 11 laps longer than Verstappen’s equivalent.

The time separation continued to close, Hamilton anxious on team radio he was badly losing grip on his rear tyres. It made for sensational viewing. And then Verstappen, illegally in the eyes of race control at Turn 4, and so the Dutchman immediately handed the position back.

From there Hamilton held his nerve. Here was a champion squeezing every last ounce out of a car that had so little left in the tank.

Verstappen was surprisingly, disappointed after the race despite achieving second position, saying:

‘Last year we would have been super-happy with this result but now we are super-disappointed so we definitely really made a good step forward!’ the Dutchman added.

‘Now we just have to get on with it and try and be better.’

If this is a sign of things to come this season, then we could be looking at another classic rivalry between a seasoned veteran and a talented youngster.

Liverpool close to completing Ibrahima Konate deal

0

Liverpool are reportedly set to finalise the signing of RB Leipzig centre-back Ibrahima Konate, as has been mentioned by various media outlets. The Reds have had a very difficult time this season dealing with injuries, and they never truly replaced Dejan Lovren, who left the club for free at the end of last season.

Konate has a release clause in his contract worth €40 million, and Leipzig are not in a position where they need to sell the player since they are only four points clear from the top of the table, behind league leaders Bayern Munich. And as it stands, there is still a while to go till the total agreement is reached between the two parties for the centre-back.

The Merseyside club signed Ben Davies and Ozan Kabak from Preston North End and Schalke respectively in the January transfer window, and Kabak has had to endure a shaky start to his Premier League career.

But despite that, Jürgen Klopp will be hoping to add another name to the backline in case injuries strike the team again.

The Frenchman himself has been hit by injuries during his time at Leipzig, but he has managed to make 100 appearances for the Red Bull Club and has established a good partnership with Dayot Upamecano at the back. If Liverpool reach an agreement with the player by paying his release clause, Leipzig could be losing both their starting centre-backs in the summer.
