On the other hand, a smartphone with model number M2104K10I has recently been spotted in India’s IMEI database. But in India, the same smartphone is expected to arrive with the POCO branding (probably an F-series flagship from POCO). This is not a new thing for us as most of the time we’ve seen that Redmi smartphones of China arrive in India with the branding of POCO. As it will be a gaming smartphone, the performance has to be top-notch. The Dimensity 1200 will not disappoint us and regarding the display, we can expect an AMOLED panel with a higher refresh rate of at least 120Hz with a higher touch-sampling rate as well.

We have finally received the first-ever leaked pictures of Intel’s high-end Xe-HPG DG2 GPU-based discrete gaming graphics cards. Not only that, but the specifications of Intel’s upcoming graphics card have also been leaked.

However, the leaked images are of an engineering model but the leaker has provided detailed specifications of the model along with its expected performance numbers.

The Xe HPG DG2 GPU is based on the Gen 12 graphics architecture, which is a brand new design. The graphics cards will fully support ray tracing and a range of other capabilities such as Intel’s own DLSS competitor which is internally being referred to as XSS (Xe Super Sampling).

We cannot speak much about the design, as mentioned above the leaked images only show the engineering model and not the final design. The pictures show the card running a dual-slot form factor with dual-fan cooling, a large aluminum fin heatsink, and the Intel logo plastered over a small acrylic panel (note the L is missing).

Asus to update its PN mini PC lineup with AMD’s Ryzen 5000U series

According to sources, Asus recently announced that it will be updating its PN mini PC line-up. The devices will be getting an upgrade with AMD’s powerful Ryzen 5000U processors.

The PN mini PC line-up is being developed as a point-of-sale or digital signage solution, but they also pack more than enough processing power to deliver a superior home theater experience.

The specification section of the PN51 only mentions the Ryzen 3 5300U, Ryzen 5 5500U, and Ryzen 7 5700U processor options, which are all based on the older Zen2 architecture.

But, Asus has not included the powerful Ryzen 5 5600U and the Ryzen 7 5800U Zen3-based processors. It may be so that the company can reduce the production cost of its device. This will allow Asus to keep the product below its MSRP and boost sales.

The device will also get an integrated Vega 7 GPUs that can easily handle 4x 4K displays with a 60 Hz refresh rate or a single 8K display @60 Hz. It will support up to 32 GB DDR4-3200 RAM via the two upgradable SO-DIMM slots.

For storage, the device supports up to 2.5-inch SATA bay supports HDDs up to 1 TB, while the M.2 slot offers PCIe 3.0 X4 NVMe support for up to 1 TB SSDs.

Connectivity options of the device include Wi-Fi 5 + BT 4.2 or Wi-Fi 6 + BT 5.0. There is also support for 2.5 Gb LAN.

Ports include:

  • 2x USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 (front full option, back display mode)
  • 3x USB-A 3.2 Gen 1
  • HDMI video out
  • 4-in1 card reader
  • by jack

The chassis is the same as the previous PN50 model, which measures 115 x 115 x 49 mm and weighs 700 g including an HDD. The company claims that the system draw’s only 9 W of power and generates 21.9 dBA when idle or up to 34.7 dBA in a full load.

No pricing or availability info as of yet, but we can expect a mid-year release and starting prices of ~$370.

TSMC’s stock is skyrocketing due to the global chip crisis

Due to the global semiconductor crisis, the tech giants worldwide are suffering from their production, and it has increased the demands of chip manufacturers. As such, the tech giants and governments worldwide have requested the aid of the Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company to ease this crisis with its production capabilities.

With the growing demand and its excellent production capabilities, the TSMC reported a third straight quarter of record sales, underscoring its lead as the world’s No. 1 maker of the advanced chips currently in short supply. According to sources, the first-quarter revenue of TSMC climbed 17% to NT$362.4 billion ($12.7 billion), compared with the average NT$360.5 billion of analysts estimates.

TSMC’s chips are mostly used in modern consumer electronics, including Apple Inc.’s iPhones to smart televisions and connected cars, making it a linchpin of the global supply chain. After the crippling effect of the pandemic, the silicon demand has vastly outstripped supply in recent months, forcing automakers to idle plants for up to weeks at a time and fueling a shortage of popular consumer products like game consoles.

The analyst also estimates that the Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co.’s 1Q sales may jump 18% year-over-year and exceed its NT$360 billion targets amid automotive chip supply shortages and continued strength in chip orders for PCs and servers from customers such as AMD.

TSMC is currently running at its full capacity, and the company is already planning capital spending of as much as $28 billion this year.

“TSMC is investing aggressively to capture the structural and fundamental increase in underlying demand driven by long-term growth megatrends from 5G and high-performance computing. The spending target implies TSMC’s revenue could reach as much as $95.1 billion in 2024 and the firm is on the march to be the largest semiconductor company by revenue in 2024/2025.”

Over the past year, owing to the increase in semiconductor demand, the shares of TSMC have more than doubled over the past year. However, the stock slipped 0.5% on Friday, before the company reported sales figures. It’s scheduled to unveil first-quarter earnings next week.

After Facebook, LinkedIn suffers a huge data breach, 500 Million account details leaked

0

If you are still getting over the news that personal information from 533 million Facebook accounts has been made freely available online, brace yourselves for another leak. There’s another huge batch of people’s data floating around the web — and the company under fire this time is LinkedIn, the Microsoft-owned social network. The potential scope of the leak is huge: according to CyberNews, an individual selling the data on a hacker forum claims it was scraped from 500 million LinkedIn profiles.

In an alleged sample of two million of the sales profiles, CyberNews found LinkedIn members’ full names, phone numbers, email addresses, genders, and more were visible. LinkedIn, however, says the data wasn’t all scraped from the professional-focused social network; it includes information from many places.

“NO PRIVATE MEMBER ACCOUNT DATA FROM LINKEDIN WAS INCLUDED”

“We have investigated an alleged set of LinkedIn data that has been posted for sale and have determined that it is actually an aggregation of data from a number of websites and companies,” reads LinkedIn’s statement, according to The Verge.

The company also contends that “no private member account data from LinkedIn was included” — which perhaps means that the data available for sale only includes information you’d be able to see on someone’s public page. LinkedIn insists that this was “not a LinkedIn data breach,” which would technically be true if the data was ‘scraped’ rather than ‘collected’ by a hacker penetrating LinkedIn’s systems, however, this information does not do much for users whose data is now being sold on the internet.

As of now, LinkedIn has not informed us if it will notify users whose data was in the dataset. (If you are wondering about the Facebook leak, the social media giant doesn’t plan to inform users if they are one of the people whose data leaked.) If you want to check whether your email or phone number was part of the Facebook data leak, The Verge has provided instructions here.
