Bengaluru, previously a classy city with lakes, parks, and a mild temperature, quickly developed into India’s Silicon Valley in the 1990s, drawing in millions of workers and housing the regional headquarters of some of the largest IT firms in the world.
The ability of the city to absorb and syphon off water was constrained by the replacement of green places with concrete and the development surrounding lakes’ edges that shut off connected canals.
The Yemalur neighbourhood and some other areas of Bengaluru were inundated under waist-deep water last week following the city’s biggest rains in decades, hurting the IT industry in the southern metropolis and damaging its reputation.
The city’s infrastructure has long been a source of discontent among the populace, who are tired of the congested traffic and water shortages during the dry season.
However, monsoon flooding in Bengaluru has brought up new concerns about the viability of rapid urbanisation, particularly if weather patterns grow more irregular and violent as a result of climate change.

Large corporations are lamenting escalating disruptions as well, claiming that they can cost them tens of millions of dollars in a single day. More than 3,500 IT businesses are based in Bengaluru, and there are 79 “tech parks”—upscale buildings with offices and entertainment spaces for tech workers.
Last week, they battled to get to contemporary glass-fronted complexes in and around Yemalur, where huge Indian start-ups and foreign corporations like JP Morgan and Deloitte operate. They had to wade across flooded roadways to get there.
Millionaire business owners were among those compelled to board tractors to escape their waterlogged living rooms and suffocated bedrooms. Initial estimates for property loss, according to insurance companies, were in the millions of rupees, with amounts projected to rise over the coming days.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is anticipated to be unveiled at Qualcomm‘s annual Snapdragon Summit, and one insider tip suggests that the company may be working on two variations, each intended for a specific category of Android handsets.
One Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 model with a CPU frequency in the 3.40-3.50GHz range may be unveiled, according to the machine translation on Digital Chat Station’s Weibo account. Additionally, the tipper says that the GPU speed might be enhanced appropriately. Looking at the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1, which is manufactured using the same 4nm TSMC manufacturing process used to mass produce the A16 Bionic, Qualcomm’s current flagship mobile SoC underwent a number of enhancements.
The Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 actually defeated the A15 Bionic in real-world tests, demonstrating the amazing results that can be achieved by switching from Samsung to TSMC’s manufacturing process.

Similar to how the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2’s switch to TSMC’s energy-efficient 4nm node allows Qualcomm to experiment with greater CPU and GPU clock speeds without always worrying about the chipset overheating.
Manufacturers who want only the best for their Android flagships will be given access to the more expensive version. While the following is pure conjecture, Samsung might equip the Galaxy S23 Ultra with the most powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip while using a less potent version in the less expensive variants. Similar to this, since gaming smartphones from companies like ASUS typically have better cooling systems, we might see Qualcomm’s speedier SoC perform well in those devices.

Realme’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 Phone Details
Realme GT2 Master Explore

Sheth stated during the interview that Realme will likely announce a flagship phone in international markets that are powered by Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, which seems to be the worldwide version of the GT 2 Master Edition, but he withheld any other information. Compared to most other countries other phones using the same chip, the SD8+G1 Realme phone will have a better design.
The GT-series flagship from Realme (Realme’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1) will debut in 2023 as well as provide top-tier experiences in areas including design, display, screen experience, battery optimization, and charging.
Sheth wants European consumers to experience the large quality of Realme’s goods. The company anticipates releasing more audio items, wearables, laptops, and TVs in addition to phones. By establishing its own stores in Europe soon, it would suggest that the corporation will put more emphasis on its offline presence. The corporation will broaden its connection with carriers at the same time.

It has been left in no doubt that the roadmap agreed by all the stakeholders in 2019 will be implemented by the All India Football Federation (AIFF), allowing lower-division clubs to not just fight for a spot in the top-tier but also improve structurally.
As the impasse between the six ‘rebel’ I-League clubs and the All India Football Federation (AIFF) continues, the joint roadmap for Indian football proposed by FIFA and AFC has become the major bone of contention for the parties involved.
AFC Roadmap for I-league clubs
A meeting took place at the headquarters of the Asian Football Confederation in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. In attendance were all the major stakeholders of Indian football, including representatives from AIFF, their commercial partners FSDL, and from the clubs of I-League and ISL. And it was being chaired by none other than Dato Windsor John, the Secretary General of the AFC.
The occasion was one that was in the making for years. After AFC and FIFA had sent a team of experts to India to look at the existing football landscape, which was divided between I-League and ISL, the experts had produced a report that made many recommendations on how to solve this issue and create a unified league system for India.
The 17-page report prepared by a two-member FIFA-AFC delegation after consultations with various stakeholders of Indian football proposed a unified single national league system to come into effect. Based on those, a roadmap was prepared by AFC and AIFF. And on this day, it was to be presented to the indian football clubs for the first time, to get their consensus so that it could be approved and forwarded for final approval.
Prior to that, the Supreme Court of India had disbanded the AIFF in May, and appointed a three-member committee to govern the sport, amend the AIFF’s constitution and conduct elections which have been pending for 18 months. In response, FIFA and the Asian Football Confederation sent a team led by AFC General Secretary Windsor John to meet stakeholders in Indian football and laid down a roadmap for the AIFF to amend its statutes by the end of July and subsequently, conclude elections by September 15.
New Zealand Cricket (NZC) is facing a crisis since its players are refusing to sign central contracts and going to T20 leagues. Trent Boult, Colin de Grandhomme, and now Jimmy Neesham have refused to sign the central contract and instead, they’re keener on playing T20 leagues. Neesham was offered the contract after the release of Boult and Grandhomme. Just like them, Neesham too turned down the offer. The Black Caps haven’t yet announced their T20 World Cup squad.
The NZC Boardsaid, ‘Neesham has contracted arrangement with overseas domestic leagues and can’t accept the NZC Contract’.
“Playing for the @blackcapsnz has been the greatest honour of my career and I remain committed to taking the field with my countrymen for the foreseeable future, especially in pinnacle world events,” he added.

New Zealand is the only country to that qualified directly for the T20 World Cup but hasn’t announced its squad. The deadline given by ICC was September 15, however, NZC has requested that they’ll announce their squad on September 20.

On the other hand, Blair Tickner and Finn Allen have accepted their New Zealand Cricket’s central contacts. They will now be playing in the places of Trent Boult and Colin de Grandhomme.
Allen is yet to be named in the squad and as per reports, he will be named on Tuesday for the WC T20 squad that will be held in Australia, this October and November. Youngster Allen Tickner have played 13 T20Is for New Zealand and was a part of the final game of their 3-0 ODI series defeat to Australia. He has played six ODIs and 11 T20s and was featured in the tours of Ireland, Scotland and Netherlands along with Allen.
“He’s [Tickner] a bowler who just keeps improving and we’ve been particularly impressed with his red-ball development, which saw him in the recent squads for the England and South Africa tests.” -head coach Gary Stead said.
