ASUS Zenbook Pro 14 Duo OLED – Why it is one of the best creator laptops to buy in 2022?

The Taiwanese giant has expanded its portfolio significantly in the last few years and has brought in a lot of new laptops for a wide range of people. Its creator series of laptops have redefined the way how productive people like you and I have been doing work, sporting the latest hardware to bring breakthrough features to help us.

Not only ASUS has made OLED a compulsory choice on premium laptops these days but also is one of the few competitors who have tremendously excelled in the last few years and have made laptops to challenge Apple, who remains the undisputed king in terms of productivity laptops with MacBook Pros.

Now, considering this ASUS Zenbook Pro 14 Duo OLED is obviously not cheap, it directly competes against the MacBook Pros which come at a similar price range, but why? Also, it comes to your mind whether you should take a break from the Apple monopoly and consider this Zenbook Pro 14 Duo OLED.

Design & Build Quality

Being a Zenbook laptop means you expect a premium build quality along with an elegant design, the metal lid, and solid build make this an excellent choice for professionals. Again having a complex design of two displays, the hinge quality is really strong even in a small form factor and you can open the lid with one hand itself.

Weighing only about 1.7Kg, it’s pretty easy to carry while a lot of people might be tensed about the weight due to the dual screens. However, kudos to ASUS because the Pro Duo 15 which I tested earlier was very bulky and gave a huge screen real estate which to be fair was extravagant, now with 14-inch bezel-less display along with a thoughtfully designed second screen, this makes more sense as it’s easy to carry and gets the job done.

The new ASUS logo on the top of the lid looks very subtle and that all-metal design gives a premium appeal just like any other ZenBook laptop. Overall, while the hinge is still very strong, however, you should be careful of that, but it is really satisfying to see the second display come up and down you pull the metal lid, a design masterclass.

Displays

The biggest highlight of this Zenbook Pro 14 Duo OLED laptop by ASUS has to be the dual displays on this machine which to be fair stands out even in this portable 14-inch chassis form factor. The 14-inch display won’t let you down in terms of size as the bezels are very narrow and you get a good screen real estate.

Also, the quality of the OLED panel is undoubtedly the best, you get a 2.8K (2880 x 1800) resolution, which to be fair is more than enough for creating videos up to 1440p. If you need 4K native resolution go for the Pro Duo 15, this modern 16:10 aspect ratio also makes the new ASUS Zenbook Pro 14 Duo OLED very tempting.

ASUS Zenbook Pro 14 Duo OLED review: A must for creators

Not only this, the primary display comes with an incredible 120Hz refresh rate and 0.2ms response time, which makes it easier for creators to create content smoothly as possible. ASUS claims up to 550nits of peak brightness which is great especially if you use it outdoors or in any environment possible, reliable always!

Being a touch display for both of the displays, this makes it easier to quickly get through your work and you can also use a stylus as well. Personally, for me, the primary display is really good and will suffice the need of most people who need a color-accurate and bright display for work as well as occasional binge-watching.

Now, here are some display tests we ran tests on our ever-reliable Datacolor SyperX Pro to verify ASUS’s claims:

As you see in the results of the primary display, this ASUS Zenbook Pro 14 Duo OLED has a great OLED panel in the first place that makes it easier for content creators to trust. We see this display providing up to 100% sRGB and 96% of the DCI-P3 color gamut which is great and the contrast ratios are staggeringly high, giving better blacks and whites.

Though the brightness is not as high as ASUS claims to have but is decent enough for work I would say. Now, let’s talk about the secondary display or ScreenPad Plus:

As you see, the implementation of the secondary display has been done with a lot of precision because on a small form factor laptop like this correct implementation matters. Though it’s unique to find still ASUS has managed to cram in a 12.7-inch 2880 x 864 resolution IPS-level display, which is really good for secondary usage I would say.

The software experience while both the displays have been done flawlessly and switching between the two is just done via a single button. Turn on and off the ScreenPad Plus anytime you want and if you are me who does two work together frequently you will love this laptop.

From using it to watch YouTube videos while writing or using the Pro Creator Hub when using apps like Photoshop or Premier Pro, this ASUS Zenbook Pro 14 Duo OLED handles like a Pro. It’s such a pleasant experience to use both the displays using your hand and edit stuff easily, this second display is bliss for any creator out there.

Though it’s not OLED or 4K resolution but is more practical I would say and consumes a much lower battery if the brightness is dimmed. While I was sceptical when this laptop was launched about how ASUS has managed to make this possible but having tested it out for days now I am confident to say this is one of the best implementations of dual displays on a laptop.

Performance

Coming equipped with up to Intel’s latest and greatest 12th Gen Core i9-12900H processor, sporting up to 14 cores makes this an incredibly powerful laptop at your disposal. However, there are a lot of variants of this Zenbook Pro 14 Duo OLED with Core i5s and Core i7s, so which one should you choose we will brief you at the end.

ASUS Zenbook Pro 14 Duo OLED review: A must for creators

Talking this flagship 14-core chip which is also quite efficient during daily work if kept at Whisper mode, performs as expected and when you need it to perform you can keep it in Standard or Performance mode for best performance. This flagship-grade processor from Intel does make an impact during professional work like video rendering, editing and even motion graphics.

The decisive Intel+NVIDIA combo works flawlessly and does the job for most people, however, an RTX 3060 or RTX 3070 option could be better, especially on this flagship variant. The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti is not bad but being limited to 4GB VRAM, those graphic intensive tasks which need graphics memory could benefit from a better GPU.

Because ASUS tried to make this laptop sleek and good-looking they have used this GPU which will be enough for most creators. The 15.6-inch Pro Duo could be a beefier option for those who need extra horsepower, here are some of the results in synthetic benchmarks run on this Zenbook Pro 14 Duo OLED:

As you see in these synthetic benchmarks, the Core i9-12900H along with 32GB DDR5 RAM shines without any doubt and gives great results, sometimes overtaking all the laptops we have tested so far. For actual productivity usage like rendering, thanks to NVIDIA Studio drivers, those optimized apps can enjoy faster production speeds.

ASUS has kept the thermals controlled as they chose the hardware combo properly and the 85W TDP of CPU+GPU combo at max potential keeps the laptop’s temps under control. Also, I did try occasional gaming as well and the laptop could easily handle it, however, that limited 4GB VRAM and NVIDIA Studio drivers aren’t good enough to handle heavy games.

ASUS Zenbook Pro 14 Duo OLED review: A must for creators

Lastly, looking at the SSD speeds, ASUS has done no cost-cutting I would say because you see the read and write speeds are excellent. The 1TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD rocks in an incredible read speed of 6593MB/s read and up to 5052MB/s write next-gen speeds. This makes it incredibly fast to boot, get into the laptop as well as transfer your work to or out, a content creator’s dream.

Also, a lot of applications which does benefit from faster storage will genuinely work well on this ASUS Zenbook Pro 14 Duo OLED. Overall, in terms of performance, I would genuinely like an RTX 3060 for GPU but the Intel’s 12th Core i9 CPU does the job pretty well with the RTX 3050 Ti, which is more efficient.

I/O & Connectivity

Coming to ports of this Zenbook Pro 14 Duo OLED, ASUS has left no stones unturned because knowing the preferences of creators, it has positioned the ports so well that you will appreciate them as well. On the left-hand side, you only have a headphone/mic jack while the two important Thunderbolt 4 ports are on the right-hand side alongside the USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A port.

Now, making it easier for people, ASUS has kept both the power input and HDMI 2.1 port at the rear end of the laptop as well as the Micro SD Express 7.1 card reader, which comes in handy when you are transferring your videos and doesn’t become an obstruction at your left or right.

Lastly, ASUS has used the latest connectivity options for this creator-oriented Zenbook Pro 14 Duo OLED laptop as you have the latest Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5 combo. The WiFi speeds were quite good, however, the range could have been better but the speeds I was getting were spot on even though I was far away from my router.

Thermals & Upgradability

To keep this ASUS Zenbook Pro 14 Duo OLED thermally intact, there are multiple air vents at the sides and even at the rear end, mainly, the actual design masterclass to keep this laptop cool is by keeping the two large fans just under the second display hinge, giving 38% more airflow. So, essentially when you are working the fans starts spinning only when the workload is very intensive.

This design makes sure the hot air gushes directly via the space left by the second display, a smart move, indeed. During intensive workloads the fans do spin but as the heat dissipates out quickly because of the design, you won’t have any problems using them. Now, in terms of upgradability, you won’t have any issues with 32GB DDR5 RAM or you can upgrade later if you have a lower RAM variant.

Keyboard & Trackpad

Well, the only flaw of the design means a keyboard which is very narrow in size, however, unlike the one on the Pro Duo 15 last year, this time I feel ASUS has made a very usable keyboard even though it’s a 14-inch form factor. The keys are pretty big and well-balanced, at first, you might be facing some issues but eventually, you will get used to it.

The 1.4mm key travel is what you get on a normal ASUS ZenBook and some satisfying keyboard typing experience is maintained. As I type the review on this ASUS Zenbook Pro 14 Duo OLED, I truly enjoyed typing day in and day out and being a tech blogger I would any day take this laptop with me for my primary work.

The trackpad is also in a weird format I get it but I used it only when I didn’t have my mouse beside and that’s very rare so, for basic usage, the trackpad easily does the job. However, for full-term usage, we genuinely advise you to have a professional mouse anyways to get the best results.

ASUS Zenbook Pro 14 Duo OLED review: A must for creators

Audio & Webcam

I’ve always appreciated the sound quality of the ASUS ZenBook laptops because they are the loudest in the premium price category and are rich in output. So, unsurprisingly this ASUS Zenbook Pro 14 Duo OLED also sports premium Harman/Kardon tuned speakers which are again up to the ZenBook standards.

You will enjoy listening to endless music sessions or even watching YouTube or Netflix easily with the loud & soothing audio produced by this ASUS Zenbook Pro 14 Duo OLED laptop. Also, if you don’t love wearing headsets while editing your video, then this laptop’s speakers will easily suffice your needs.

However, one thing I would complain about especially being a creator-focused laptop, the 720p webcam is too outdated. ASUS should have used a newer and better 1080p webcam because a lot of people do love quickly shooting using the webcam of a laptop, which to be fair is much better on a MacBook Pro.

Battery Life

The most important thing that any professional would love from his or her laptop is battery life and while ASUS claims up to 9.5 hours of battery life with the huge 76WHrs battery inside it, we were getting an average battery life of 4 hours with around 80% screen brightness and mixed usage of second display at Whisper mode.

Now, as you push the laptop’s performance or the brightness or even use the secondary display for a long, the battery life will automatically decrease. However, with a medium level of brightness, the battery life can be extended to around 5 hours which is decent but nothing extraordinary.

Verdict

Now, having said a lot of words, the primary question you will ask me is Raunak whether I will get the best return by opting for this Zenbook Pro 14 Duo OLED or going for a MacBook instead. I have been trying a lot of laptops in my career and the Pro Duo 15 OLED was a great implementation of a dual-screen display. It was bulky but had the best OLED displays but used to drain a lot of battery, so this 14-inch variant is a true gem I would say. Why?

Because, ASUS has fixed the weight issue, provided the best OLED panel for the primary display, made it compact yet stylish and the secondary display is still there but its use is done when needed, nothing fancy I would say. This time as of 2022, this Zenbook Pro 14 Duo OLED has the best implementation of usability, efficiency and productivity.

It obviously has its cons, sometimes gets heated when doing a lot of intensive tasks which is much rare compared to MacBooks but compared to other Windows laptops, this is far better. ASUS has excelled in creating good OLED displays and this is still evident with this laptop in 2022, now the laptop’s battery life could have been better but it’s decent but not in terms of MacBook level.

ASUS Zenbook Pro 14 Duo OLED review: A must for creators

It’s particularly made for creators who love to make content, do multiple tasks at once, and need a compact, reliable and powerful option at their disposal anytime they need it. This laptop is created for them and is unique due to its dual-display, which MacBook won’t give you and is the best implementation as of 2022, indeed of the best Windows laptops that money can buy.

Which variant to buy?

There are multiple variants of this same laptop and now which one to buy you might question, so, to even answer you this, let’s pick which one is the best suited for you:

Netflix’s TUDUM fan event was also treated to excite the news about their favorite series.  The new season 4 of the comedy show ‘Never Have I Ever‘ is set to come only in 2023 and the show is set to gear up to the end of the run, some of the main cast members also had a lot for celebrating in a fun with a short video on set. In the final season, we will see Devi Paxton aka Maitreyi Ramakrishnan set to enter the senior year in high school and deal with the woes of late adolescent life.

In the video, we will see ama Krishnan set to prepare to shoot a scene in the very first episode and getting shocked to notice that Season 4 has barely started. The show traveled a long way with Devi, she has joined Jaren Lewison who is very excited about her “transformation” over the Summer which seems like the only one that has been noticed. There is also going to be a big wedding, and apparently getting involves characters as no one can able to see it coming.

Never

The new clip unveils two important pieces of the news for the fans who are unable to wait for Season 4. At the first, the fan favorite and the heartthrob Paxton returns for the show’s final episodes because there is a love triangle that has to remind Barnet that Paxton graduated in Season 3, but the actor also feels stressed that he’s “back, baby”.  The group highlights a new and more exciting character that’s set to come for Season 4. The actor was declared as a part of the final season back in July.

Never Have I Ever (Season 4): Cast

Apart from Ramakrishnan, Lewison, Barnet, and Cimino, the show features Poorna Jagannathan, Richa Moorjani, John McEnroe, Ramona Young, Lee Rodriguez, and Megan Suri.

The ever Have I Ever is created by Mindy Kaling and Lang Disher, and the show is based on Kaling talking to E! About wrapping up the series and exposing that, even though she also thinks 40 episodes is a short run, she can greatly enjoy the ride:

“When you launch a show, it’s really hard to figure everybody out. Once you have them, you’re like, ‘40 episodes? That’s it?’, to love the character Devi, I love her family, I love her friends. I love this actress so much. I would do the

Show until she was a grandma. Unfortunately, young people grow up and you can’t be 17 forever. I’m really happy with the characters’ growth. It was a very emotional finale. I truly love this world and what the actor brought to these characters. They made also one of the best creative experiences of my life.”

Barcelona to receive over €20,000 per day for Ronald Araujo injury as compensation from FIFA

0

Ronald Araujo sustained an injury with Uruguay while on international duty, which will see him miss two to three months of action, including the FIFA World Cup that will be played in Qatar in November.

The Uruguayan is one of five Barcelona players to have sustained an injury during the international break. Memphis Depay, Frenkie de Jong, Ousmane Dembele and Jules Kounde are the others on the list to have been ruled out for the coming weeks.

FIFA to pay Barcelona over €20,000 until Ronald Araujo is fit

As part of a new rule to protect clubs that have their players injured during the international break, FIFA will compensate Barcelona until Ronald Araujo is given the green light to return to injury. The board will pay €20,458 every day to the La Liga side as a result.

“After consulting with several doctors, we decided that the best thing to do was to undergo surgery. It’s not about choosing one team [Barça] or the other [Uruguay], it’s about my health and getting back as soon as possible,” Araujo wrote in a statement, confirming his decision to undergo surgery.

According to the ruling, FIFA will pay for the other players that sustained injuries during the international break, with their national teams, as well.

Into the Deep: The latest Documentary Filmmaker recorded for a Murderer

Netflix on Friday set to debut the trailer for the latest true crime documentary ‘Into the Deep‘ set to release by the streamer the next week, nearly three years after the work-in-progress that has cut was premiered at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival. The project started as a chronicle of eccentric Danish inventor Peter Madsen’s life and work, getting involved in something more sinister while Madsen was suspected, getting convicted, and subsequently getting imprisoned for killing a Swedish journalist.

Deep

The incrimination footage shot by the director Emma Sullivan for her documentary was studied and used by the prosecution in the case against Madsen, who has sentenced to life in prison in 2018. Madsen was something of a celebrity in Denmark known for building three submarines. He has planned on constructing a space rocket next. The film is supposed to document the larger-than-life Madsen’s new endeavor that he has worked on with science students getting captivated by his personality.

The film also explores the betrayal the students felt after Madsen was unveiled to have systematically planned and carried out the killing of the journalist, Kim Wall. Sullivan mainly shot footage of Madsen leading Wall out of one of his submarines that has turned out to be the last time he has seen alive.

Deep

Sullivan said, “This is a very personal story to me. When I started this project I met a group of people, who wanted to be part of something positive with someone they admired at the helm. But then the unbearable happened. When you are suddenly pulled into such a nightmare it changes your life forever. The film is a testimony of the people who were close to Madsen as they slowly grasp the true nature of the man and the terrible crimes he committed.”

There are some clips getting teased in the trailer that is quite striking, Sullivan essentially documented Madsen’s student for the collaboration realizing in real time that their mentor might be involved in the murder. One man also said, “The Peter that I knew for 10 years, and the Peter that went on the submarine on August 10 and came up are two different people,”

The case was previously set dramatized in the six-part Danish series The Investigation, directed by Tobias Lindholm also perhaps best known for his collaborations with the director Thomas Vineberg. The Jinx also contributed to the indictment of the subject.

Into the Deep: Release Date

Netflix’s new film Into the Deep is set to arrive on 30th September 2022.

Packed to the brim with cores, these chips excel at tasks that call for an extra dose of parallel computing power, like heavy multitasking, 3D modelling and video rendering, or live streaming game sessions on Twitch. Now, AMD has fired off its fourth salvo of AMD Ryzen CPUs — and ASUS has the X670E and X670 motherboards that can harness the full potential of these new chips.

“ASUS is making a statement with its five distinct series of X670 motherboards, offering users an enormous range of options that pair perfectly with AMD Ryzen 7000 Series processors,” said David McAfee, Corporate Vice President and General Manager, Client Channel Business Unit, AMD. “With a host of unique and exclusive features, users will be able to unlock the full potential of the AM5 platform with the latest DDR5 and PCIe 5.0 connectivity.”

This X670E and X670 motherboard lineup has something for everyone. The ROG Crosshair series returns to offer uncompromising performance and style for those who dare to build a gaming PC like none other. ROG Strix boards deliver gaming prowess in a wide range of designs, while the TUF Gaming lineup delivers essential features in a battle-hardened design. The ProArt X670E-Creator WiFi serves the creative community with its professional style, exceptional connectivity, and powerful performance. Finally, ASUS has expanded the value-focused Prime motherboard lineup with options that provide an accessible entry point to X670E and X670 for builders of all stripes.

Raised to the power of five

Key changes to AMD’s CPUs and chipset enable ASUS to make X670 a truly next-gen platform. Fabricated on a cutting-edge 5-nanometer process, AMD Ryzen 7000 Series processors slot into the all-new AM5 socket. As an LGA-style socket, the pins are on the motherboard, not the CPU, making any accidental bending or damage to the pins less likely. AM5 supports up to a 170 watts of thermal design power (TDP), enabling exceptional compute performance for high-core-count CPUs in heavy workloads.

But it is not just the CPU socket that enjoys a next-gen upgrade. X670E and X670 motherboards support the latest DDR5 RAM. With data rates 50% faster than previous-generation DDR4 memory, DDR5 unleashes a new tier of performance, and ASUS motherboards offer a host of hardware and firmware optimizations that enable users to overclock capable kits to the absolute limit.

X670E and X670 motherboards also boast PCIe® 5.0 connectivity. With double the link speeds of PCIe 4.0, the new standard provides the bandwidth to deck out ASUS X670E and X670 motherboards with a comprehensive selection of high-speed ports. There are models equipped with the latest USB4® ports, and USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 ports abound across the lineup.

X670E and X670 boards differ in their deployment of PCIe 5.0 and PCIe 4.0 across the circuitry. The ‘E’ in X670E stands for Extreme. It ensures that users are getting a board decked out with a PCIe 5.0 x16 slot and at least one PCIe 5.0 M.2 socket. But ASUS is not content to just provide the minimum — if high-speed storage is the goal, users will find it in abundance in the top-tier offerings. Most ROG Strix X670E boards have at least two onboard PCIe 5.0 M.2 slots, and the flagship ROG Crosshair X670E Extreme offers a total of four PCIe 5.0 slots between its onboard slots and bundled add-in cards. Since higher-end and larger-capacity M.2 SSDs can produce more heat, ASUS is also upping its cooling game for X670E and X670. Many of these M.2 slots include a dual-sided M.2 heatsink to aid in heat dissipation.

Hassle-free PC building

It has been decades since building a PC required a computer science degree, and ASUS works tirelessly to make PC DIY easier with each generation of motherboards. Exclusive ASUS Q-Design innovations across the X670E and X670 lineup simplify and streamline the process of building and upgrading a PC.

Today’s cutting-edge graphics cards often have beefy cooling solutions and sturdy backplates. That is great for performance — but they can get in the way of popping the PCIe release latch free. The ASUS PCIe Slot Q-Release button lets users release their graphics card from the slot with one press. Users will find this convenient feature on all ROG Crosshair X670E motherboards, the ProArt X670E-Creator WiFI, most ROG Strix options and even the Prime X670E-Pro.

Similarly, traditional DIMM slot designs require users to lock in both sides of the memory stick, and it was not always easy for those with larger fingers to unlock the latch closest to the graphics card. That is why ASUS has also implemented its single-sided Q-DIMM latching design on all X670E motherboards. With this arrangement, users will not have to worry about a latch that may be too close to their graphics card. A single latch on the easier-to-access side of the DIMM slot is all it takes to hold a memory stick firmly in place. Installing RAM — and upgrading it down the road — is now much easier.

ASUS has even simplified the process of installing an M.2 drive. The exclusive M.2 Q-Latch means users will never have to handle another tiny, easily lost M.2 screw; now they can secure or loosen an M.2 drive with just their fingertips.

A new generation of cool

Many builders these days opt for higher-RPM case fans capable of moving large volumes of air. These fans are just the ticket for keeping high-performance components cool under load, but they can produce excessive noise when users are performing light tasks like web browsing or emailing. To give users an easy tool for getting effective airflow under load and quiet operation during light tasks, ASUS is debuting AI Cooling II for its entire X670E and X670 motherboard lineup.

When enabled via the FanXpert interface in the Armoury Crate app, the tool employs a machine-learning algorithm to gather system data during a brief stress test. From then on, AI Cooling II monitors the CPU and uses the data from the stress test to calculate the lowest fan speed required to effectively cool the system — while keeping noise levels low. This fan control system can reduce system fan noise by up to 5.7 dB under sustained loads. Through this self-adaptive system, users will always have cooling power when they need it and quiet operation when they want it. ASUS has also taken the opportunity to update FanXpert with its full set of fan calibration and control options. Temperature input mapping and fan response mapping are both available within Windows through the convenient Armoury Crate app.

Powerful tools for power users

The first thing that many hardware enthusiasts will do with their new AMD Ryzen 7000 Series processors and X670E motherboard is see just how much extra performance they can coax out of their system through overclocking. In heavily threaded workloads, an all-core manual overclock can offer substantial benefits. But for more lightly threaded applications like gaming, AMD’s built-in Precision Boost Overdrive (PBO) is often the superior choice. This performance-maximizing tech automatically analyzes factors such as CPU temperature, number of actives tasks and power consumption to intelligently raise clock speeds.

Users should not have to choose between PBO and manual all-core overclocks. That is why ASUS developed the Dynamic OC Switcher. This feature debuted in the legendary last-gen ROG Crosshair VIII Dark Hero motherboard, and now ASUS is including the necessary onboard microcontroller on all its X670E motherboards. This feature automatically flips between the two modes to provide the best performance for the task at hand. After configuring a manual overclock for heavy tasks, users can select a threshold for the Dynamic OC Switcher to activate, based on amperage and temperature. From that point, the system will operate with PBO by default, but it will kick over to a manual overclock dynamically for exceptional multithreaded performance exactly when it is needed the most.

Users can also leverage the new Core Flex feature to smash limits through discrete control of clocks, power delivery and thermals. In its simplest form, users can maximize the base clock during lighter loads and set breakpoints to gradually reduce CPU core frequencies as temperature or current increases. This system is extremely adaptable, supporting multiple settings to manipulate power, current, and temperature limits independently so that users can bend CPU performance to their will.

The ASUS X670E lineup also heralds the return of the ROG True Voltician. This oscilloscope kit, bundled with the ROG Crosshair X670E Extreme and the ROG Crosshair X670E Gene, streamlines the workflow of enthusiasts who need detailed analysis of the power circuitry on their motherboard to extract the highest levels of performance from their hardware. Once connected to the system, the oscilloscope system intuitively presents real-time voltage information on a separate system. It has never been easier to collect the data needed for professional-level overclocking.

Innovative design elements make sure that users get the performance and features they need, even when they are building inside the tight confines of a Mini-ITX case. The I/O shield is pre-mounted for easier installation and a tidier fit around rear ports. A single heatsink cools the PCIe 5.0 M.2 slot and the chipset simultaneously, and VRM temps are aided by a large backplate that leverages a thermal pad to transfer heat away from critical decoupling capacitors. The space-saving ROG FPS-II card provides easy access to front-panel headers, two SATA ports, important headers for clearing CMOS and enabling CPU overvoltage, and a PCIe mode switch for legacy expansion cards.

It is the all-new ROG Strix Hive external control interface that truly sets the ROG Strix X670E-I motherboard apart from the competition. It neatly addresses common challenges that PC builders face when putting together a compact Mini-ITX machine — and it goes a step further by putting motherboard gaming features right at one’s fingertips.

The Mini-ITX form factor does not provide much space for a high-end audio solution, so ASUS (very literally) thought outside the box. The Hive houses top-shelf audio hardware — an ALC4050 codec and an ESS ES9260 Quad DAC, to be precise. A combined audio jack and optical S/PDIF out deliver pristine sound, while an integrated volume knob keeps users in control.

Premium audio is not the only trick up the ROG Strix Hive’s sleeve. It offers a convenient USB Gen 2 Type-C® port that makes it easy to connect external storage and peripherals. It includes the intuitive ASUS Q-LED array so that one can quickly diagnose build problems. An EZ Mode PBO button lets users activate a finely tuned PBO profile in the operating system in real-time — without entering BIOS. And users will even find physical FlexKey and BIOS Flashback buttons as well. Building, updating and troubleshooting a Mini-ITX PC has never been easier.

Here’s what Mr Roland Landers, CEO, AIGF had to say on the Tamil Nadu government approving an ordinance to ban online gamingshya

Yesterday, the Tamil Nadu cabinet approved an ordinance to ban online gaming. Mr. Roland Landers, CEO of All India Gaming Federation, has now let his opinion known on this matter.

Here’s what Mr Roland Landers, CEO, AIGF had to say on the Tamil Nadu government approving an ordinance to ban online gamingshya

Mr. Roland Landers, CEO – The All India Gaming Federation, said, “Based on news reports we understand that the Tamil Nadu government has approved an ordinance to ban certain or all online games of skill. This is disappointing because it disregards the 6 decades of established legal jurisprudence and also the recent judgment of the Madras HC which struck down a similar law.”

“As the apex industry body for online gaming we at the All India Gaming Federation have been trying to engage with the government to understand their concerns and have also made them aware of the proliferation of offshore gambling websites and apps which flourish when constitutionally protected India apps are banned.”

“We had provided various consumer protection and other measures which stop short of an outright ban. In such a scenario this is unfortunate. What is also surprising is that the State government has already appealed the judgment of Madras HC and the SC had recently issued notices on the same.”

“Instead of waiting for the SC judgment and in the meantime respecting the categorical decision by their own HC, they seem to have taken another unconstitutional decision which will eventually only benefit online gambling operators.”

“We will wait for the final bill to comment in detail and decide our next course of action.”
