Asus just launched 3 vairants of the AMD X670E based AM5 motherboards

The launch of AMD’s Ryzen 7000 processor is set for August 29, therefore it’s time for motherboard manufacturers to introduce their components. All five manufacturers of enthusiast mainboards provided a sneak peek at their AMD X670/X670E-based AM5 platforms a few weeks ago. However, Asus was the first business to formally introduce its initial AM5 family, which consists of a number of motherboards that would be offered at various price ranges.

Along with the ROG Crosshair X670E Hero Extreme motherboard for wealthy gamers, Asus also debuted the ROG Crosshair X670E Hero, ROG Strix X670E-E Gaming Wi-Fi, and TUF Gaming X670E-Plus Wi-Fi for those who want premium features but don’t want to shell out a lot of money for a motherboard.

In addition to the ROG Crosshair X670E Hero Extreme motherboard for wealthy gamers, Asus also unveiled the ROG Crosshair X670E Hero, ROG Strix X670E-E Gaming Wi-Fi, and TUF Gaming X670E-Plus Wi-Fi for those who want premium features but don’t want to spend a small fortune on a motherboard.

All of Asus’ AMD X670E-based motherboards will, of course, accept AMD’s Ryzen 7000-series CPUs, which are designed for enthusiasts and overlockers and have up to 16 Zen 4 cores in AM5 packaging.

All four mainboards will also come equipped with powerful CPU VRMs that can provide CPUs with hundreds of watts of clean power to optimise their overclocking capability. Four DDR5 memory slots, many PCIe 5.0 slots, USB connections (including two USB 4 ports on some models), and Wi-Fi 6E connectivity on higher-end ROG motherboards are all included on the motherboards. A few AM5 mainboards will also feature M.2-22110 slots for connecting high-capacity SSDs with a 2.5GbE or 10GbE connection using an adaptor.

The company’s Q-Design features, like as quick release buttons for PCIe, RAM, and M.2 slots, will also be supported by Asus ROG motherboards, making it quicker and easier for enthusiasts to remove old components and replace them with new ones.

ProArt X670E Creator Wi-Fi for content creators and Prime X670-P/X670-P Wi-Fi for more provident purchasers will eventually be added by Asus. As the headline of Asus’ AM5 page indicates, inexpensive B650-based motherboards will also be available.
